En klassisk plantage stil hemma, detta Haena hus vid stranden, känd som Hale Pulelehu'a (Fjärilshuset), är en underbar plats för din familj och vänner att uppleva ön livsstil på North Shore av Kauai. Hale Pulelehu'a (Fjärilshuset) är kärleksfullt vårdas och ger enkel åtkomst till alla aktiviteter i Kauai North Shore. En naturskön tio minuters bilresa förbi historiska Hanalei stan och bara en och en halv miles från slutet av vägen vid Ke'e Beach och början av den hisnande Kalalau Trail och den berömda Napali kusten hittas. The house was perfect. Very clean and bright. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the layout was exactly what we wanted for our vacation. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning was a welcome luxury on the hot days and nights. The house is steps away from a beach and a quick walk or drive to Tunnels, one of the best places for snorkeling. I highly recommend this house. You'll love it.

This was a perfect place for our friends trip. It’s across the street from a path to the beach, so it was super fun to walk down to the ocean and have coffee on the ocean. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. I highly recommend!

An incredible home near an incredible location! The access to the local beach is directly across the small street, and was a great place to set up some chairs and unwind and take a dip. Tunnels Beach is accessible by walking along that beach. Slowly strolling, it took us about 20 minutes. We even saw sea lions sunbathing, and some sea turtles swimming along the surf. Truly amazing. The house itself was spectacular and had everything we needed for a large group. The air conditioning was much appreciated! I could not recommend this home enough, and I already can’t wait to book it again for a future trip.

This home was perfect for our family vacation. Tunnels beach is our favorite so it was nice to be able to walk there! And having the beach only a few steps away was incredible. The home was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed. The pictures don’t do it justice.

We enjoyed our time here immensely. A beautiful, clean and well-equipped home in a terrific location. We were a family of 7, including a toddler, and found the place perfect for our needs. We greatly enjoyed the wild chickens in the backyard (and somewhat less so the rooster crowing in the morning). We loved walking to the beach and strolling further down towards Tunnels. We appreciated all of the snorkel gear, beach chairs and umbrellas that the owner supplied. We would love to come back and stay again!

A beautiful place to stay in one of the most beautiful locations on the planet. Our family of 6 was more than comfortable in the space. It was very clean and had anything you would need. We ran into some weather related concerns due to heavy rain and the property manager was more than accommodating. We hope to be back some day.

Haena Home was a perfect retreat for our family retreat. We are a family of 8 with age ranges of 4 years to 82 and a pre-teen in the mix.Haena House ticked all my “must have boxes”.The setting perfect with close proximity to the beach. Accommodation’s immaculate, warm welcoming decor, well stocked provisions, the local representative was excellent with replies.Our family enjoyed 90% of our meals at home and everynight was like a luau as we sat around dining table recounting our are adventures in Paradise.Donna

This house is absolutely wonderful! An amazing location with a short walking path right across the street that leads directly onto the beach. Beautiful and secluded area. The house has literally everything you need, from kitchen items to games to beach chairs and toys. It's more spacious than the photos, and we had plenty of room for our family trip. If you're thinking of staying here, I strongly suggest doing it!

A wonderful week

An absolutely perfect place! We enjoyed every bit of our vacation and the location of this home was a big part of that. Steps from a stunning beach and a short drive to some of Kauai's best sights. Easily the most well appointed rental home (kitchen, towels, beach supplies) we have stayed in.

The home itself is beautiful, well equipped, and in an incredible location near Tunnels Beach. However, there are some important things future guests should know.There is essentially ZERO cell service at the property. You are completely dependent on Wi-Fi for calls and texts. During the hurricane, we lost power and Wi-Fi, leaving us with virtually no communication. We also lost running water and eventually had to carry buckets of water back to the house to flush toilets and even bathe in a nearby stream.This was especially difficult because we were traveling with my 70-year-old mother-in-law and 9-month-old granddaughter. With no power or AC, our granddaughter became so hot that we had to use our vehicles' AC to cool her down.Also, the separate guest house costs extra but has NO AC, which we did not realize when booking.Magen, the property manager, was incredible and continued helping us despite dealing with major damage to her own home.I don't blame the owner for the hurricane. I am sharing our experience because future guests should understand how isolated this property can become if power, Wi-Fi, and water are lost. It is a beautiful home, but these are important limitations to know before booking.

Thank you, George, for your review. We acknowledge that a major hurricane (Hurricane Lowell) significantly impacted your stay. Not just our property, but the entire island of Kauai were impacted. This was out of our control as a host. We, as a host (along with our house manager who was in contact with the guest), highly recommended the guest leave the property before the hurricane hit. The guest made the decision to stay at the property against our advice (resulting in having to reside in the house without power or water). The guest received a full refund for the days of his stay that were impacted by the hurricane, including those days without water and power. Finally, it's important to note that we do not advertise that there is air conditioning in the guest house portion of the property. Only air conditioning for the main house is advertised in our listing. Thank you again for your feedback.

Hale Pulelehu’a is incredible. The house was so clean and inviting. It was the perfect size for our multi-generational group. The kitchen was big enough to allow many people to work on meals and was stocked with every tool we needed. And the beach is not only just a few steps away, but is gorgeous and uncrowded. We were there in the summer and the swimming and snorkeling were perfect. All of us would love to return and highly recommend staying here.

wonderful!

right across the street from the beach! the neighbors and neighborhood is exactly what we wanted.....away from all the hustle & bustle. The north side of Kauai is wild hawaii! we loved it. the house also has snorkel gear if needed.

Wonderful

The house is beautiful and kitchen and bathrooms large and functional. Just a minute walk to the beach and great patio for wet swim suits, towels. Has everything you need for the beach- towels, boogie boards, umbrella, chairs. Owner and property manager easy to contact, helpful. Would definitely stay here again! House is in an amazing location.

I have been returning to Kauai since first living here in 1975. Hale Pulelehu'a is located on the best beach on the entire island of Kauai. We designed Hale Pulelehu'a to appeal to our multi-generational family. The house is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the North Shore and is close to so many great activities. There are so many spectacular things to do within walking distance of the house that you may not even want to get in your car!
