Overall we had a very nice & relaxing beach vacation that was very much needed. The absolute best part was the private beach access so if that is the reason you are booking, then go for it. The house itself was OK. It's a bit dated but it suited our needs. We didn't spend too much time in the house between going to the beach & downtown. Some things to consider if you are traveling with elders, small children, or handicapped persons: there is no other way but up 25 stairs to get to the front door (a bit less if going in through the back patio), there is also about 50 stairs to get down to the beach, the shower is extremely small (I am 5'2" & struggled to maneuver). A few other points to note, the trundle bed was not able to fully come out without moving a dresser & that mattress is pretty bad in terms of comfort, the metal frames on the beds are flimsy & make noise whenever anyone moves. Some positives: there is covered parking for 2 vehicles, the kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware, the communication with the host was excellent, access to grocery stores was very convenient, the neighborhood is tranquil, & as mentioned earlier, the private beach access is what made our vacation great.

Lovely cottage!

Clean, cute, great space! Tons of bath towels, the steps to the beach were super close, great location to grand haven, and we loved our time!

Awesome vacation spot

Loved the short walk to the beach. Loved being able to drive a short way and enjoy all of the Grand Haven fun. The house was perfect for us! It had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay.

Perfect weekend getaway

This cottage was perfect for a long weekend getaway. Clean, well maintained, well appointed, and a perfect location! Beautiful, clean beach perfect for the kids to some an afternoon playing in the waves. Definitely recommend anc we will be back

Perfect Beach

Loved this hidden gem! The house was peaceful d the lake view was great from the deck. We enjoyed the beach to ourselves for our whole week. Couldn’t have been better!

Home was clean and caretaker was absolutely wonderful. He was very kind. Had a nice view of the water and wildlife was everywhere! Deer, rabbits, turkeys and owls. The atmosphere is relaxing and the neighboring people are very courteous and friendly.

Gorgeous location, cute cottage, will be back!

This place is absolutely perfect for a quiet beach getaway. While not lake frontage, you can still see the lake from the deck. We had deer (and a newborn fawn!) coming right up to the deck while we sat outside, and were able to walk to the quiet, private beach in just a few steps. The beds were comfy, the place was clean, we will definitely be back!

Grand Haven

Cute quaint and clean! The house was comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. The neighborhood is part of a historic residence that added to the charm. The owners were gracious and friendly. Couldn’t ask for more!

Good place to stay for a long weekend getaway

The property was clean when we checked in. The pictures and ad are accurate. It has all the basic necessities you would need for a comfortable short stay. The location is really close to downtown area and everything else you'd wanna visit and do while in Grand Haven. Only real complain is the single bathroom which can become a problem if more than 2 people stayed in the house. A second bathroom or even half bath would have made this place close to perfect.

Great Cottage!

This cottage was everything I was hoping it would be! The bedrooms are small and you have to be able to climb steps, but this is a great place to stay. The beach is so close and there are great views of lake Michigan from the house. The beach is also very quiet. Hardly anyone else was out there during our stay. The neighbors are all very friendly and most have been in that area for decades. The cottage is a short drive to downtown Grand Haven, and a few minutes from the local grocery store. The owner is quick to respond and I would definitely rent this cute cottage again.

Great beach!

The proximity to the beach was great!! The house was clean and very comfortable!! There's covered parking. That was nice. I'm glad I brought my car and not the truck. It wouldn't have fit. The beach sand is like powder! It's beautiful!! I gave 4 stars on the property cleanliness because the vines and bushes in the walkway could be addressed. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Location can’t be beat

House was just as advertised. The location is fantastic, feeling completely safe and secluded, beach access, yet still just a 5 min drive to groceries Walmart and just a couple more mins to downtown. The home was clean and well kept.the beach is beautiful. The only thing I would have liked to see is a touch more amenities - beach chairs, beach umbrella would have been so great to use (I would have rented them if that were an option nearby but its not). Sheets were not comfortable.
