Longview is more than just a cabinâit's your private sanctuary, your home base for invigorating mountain walks, gorgeous vistas, hygge-inspired comfort, and the adventure of exploring this gem of a region. Weâd be honored to host you.
NOTE: 4WD highly recommended to get to the property. The gravel roads are well maintained but you are driving up a small mountain.

Longview gets its name from its breathtaking northward-facing mountain view. From the cabin, you'll be treated to a stunning vista that includes a clear view of Mt. Jackson! If you know what youâre looking for, you can even spot the charming Apple Basket water tower of Mt. Jackson.
You will be situated on 6 acres of private land in the woods to explore at your leisure. There are a few walking paths emerging from previous âexplorersâ but most of the land and woods are natural and unshaped by man. If you like to tromp around and explore in the woods, this is the perfect spot. Just beware, a good part of the land is on a slope. Nothing too treacherous, just some caution required.
The cabin is nestled in the beautiful area of New Market, Virginia, offering a perfect blend of mountain serenity and accessibility to local attractions.
Stay on-site and enjoy all the property has to offer or venture out into the region using Longview as your home base. You have an amazing selection of day adventures from our location:

Weâre your hosts, Carly and Garrett! We are college sweethearts with a lifelong passion for travel and adventure. After years of dreaming about owning a perfect mountain retreat near the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia - our home state - we've established Longview so that we can share the beauty of our great state and its outdoors with others.
Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
Longview is situated on a mountain overlooking a beautiful valley. We chose the property as a site for Longwood because of its majestic views, its privacy (on 6 acres), and the quiet that comes from being near the top of the mountain.
Vad som gör detta boende unikt
In addition to the view, we have a hot tub on the deck right outside the back door that looks into the valley. We also have build a custom smokeless fire put that also overlooks the valley in the same direction. These features, in addition to 6 acres of wooded land, permits any visitor a great amount of peace and quiet in nature.
