La Majada Alta ligger i en nationalpark, och står i flera tusen kvadratmeter av privata skäl i en ovanligt vacker område med berg och sjöar. Stugan är perfekt för dem som kommer att njuta av avkopplande ljudet av get klockor eller uppmaningen av berguv eller syn örnar drivande overhead. Detta är också en idealisk bas för de mer aktiva besökare som hittar tillfredsställelse från de vackra promenader, sjöarna, de vita byarna, den berömda ravinen vid El Chorro, eller de fantastiska kalkstensformationer på El Torcal.

Skidåkning
Skidorten Sol y Nieve i Sierra Nevada-bergen i Granada är öppen från jul till slutet av april. Hissen är snabb och modern med gondoler och fyra man stolar och skidåkning är upp till 3000m med varierande körningar och en möjlig 1000m härkomst. Du kan vara på pisten i mindre än 3 timmar från stugan.

Perfect stay for a climbing holiday

Excellent property in a perfect location for climbers. The house was large, clean and well equipped, with everything you would need for any length stay in the location. Couldn't have been better for our needs and would definitely stay again.

Great Stay

This is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset, sunrises, etc. It is very peaceful, clean and spacious. We wished we could have spent more time here. The pool was very refreshing after some long hot dates of traveling. The host is very helpful and friendly.

A dream house

What a charming cottage in a wonderful environment! We had a superb time. Colin and Francesca are great hosts, caring and making sure we felt comfortable at any time. We came to El Chorro for rock climbing and could explore the cliff right above the house!

Amazing Location

We absolutely loved our stay. The home is more rustic but was perfect for the two of us. We loved the location. Do your grocery shopping before arrival and then just unplug. There’s plenty of hiking in the area, but we spent our time reading and playing card games. It turned into one of the more relaxing trips we’ve been on. The pool and view is unparalleled. We saw an ibex and watched the goat herders behind the property. Absolutely idyllic.

Paradisiac cottage surrounded with nature

We, a young family + 86 year old granny, had a fantastic and relaxing stay with stunning views around the house. Very comfortable beds, great kitchen for the cooking fans that we are. Colin was so kind to us and of great help during our stay. We will definitely be back :) Thank you so much!

Peaceful getaway

Lovely villa, with stunning views across the valley. The property is well equipped, and the air con in the bedrooms was really effective. Plenty of space for us all, and Colin was really helpful with useful information and advice from booking till we left. Thank you for a memorable family holiday!

Absolutely stunning.

A beautiful property in a picture perfect location. Clean and fresh and I thought it felt bigger than in the pictures. The host was easy to get in touch with and showed us to the property from the local village. I will miss sitting outside and admiring the gorgeous 360° views.

Beautiful and relaxing

The House and garden with pool was even better than its description. Very spacious for a family of four and very good value for your money. During the heat wave in Spain, we could still enjoy a breeze that made even the middle of the day comfortable. Colin arranged for everything needed, we only had to enjoy our stay.

A get away from it all place with plenty to do!

Stayed at La Majada Alta for two weeks and had a fantastic time, the property had everything we needed for a family of 5 and was quiet and very peaceful. Stunning views and lots to see and do in the surrounding area. Local village has everything you will need during your stay and is approx 7km (10 min by car). Colin and Francesca are extremely helpful and will help out with any questions you may have. Thanks for a lovely holiday!

Perfect Andalusian getaway

This is the third time we have stayed at this beautiful property. Two times in the summer and once in the winter and all three were wonderful. It is a beautiful large house with a well equipped big kitchen and two large bathrooms and three bedrooms. The swimming pool is great and there are beautiful areas to sit outside on the large property. We especially love the mountain that the house is at the foot of. It is a special place. It is also very close to the Caminito Del Rey walking trail which is the reason why we came here the first time. We hope to come again again. Colin the host is always available and very helpful.

We just lovede the house and the location. The pool was perfect and clean, and had a great size for playing. The host was so helpful and whenever we needed help he was there. Cottage, pool and outdoor facilities are excellent. Views of the mountains and across the valley are spectacular. The local villages are very welcoming and friendly with good food and wine to be had. Colin and Francesca are great hosts and always there to help if needed. We would certainly recommend this fantastic property to anyone who wishes to experience the true heart of Andalucía. As for us, we would definitely love to return in the future.

Beautiful Property in an ideal location

This was an amazing find. The cottage is beautiful and is surrounded by amazing scenery. As nature lovers, it was a fantastic location to hike and enjoy the Andalusian countryside. Colin and Francesca were exemplary hosts, and nothing was too much trouble. Even though the weather wasn’t on our side during our stay, the the wood fires kept the cottage cosy. Thank you!

Great house, great location

We are a family of 6 (4 big children) who had a fantastic week in this lovely house. The view is magnificent and it was difficult to choose between looking out over the valley or up the cliff wall where vultures circled all day long. Several times a day wild mountain goats came by; sometimes they drank from the pool to our great enthusiasm. The house was well appointed and cozy. Colin (the host) was very helpful and responded quickly to our queries. We can highly recommend this lovely place

The best place to stay with friends

Our stay here could not have been better. We were a group of seven friends staying in the area to rock climb. Guess what, there is climbing right on the property! Then after you can just relax in a pool. Amazing value and clean. Wifi worked well and was stocked with good amenities. Host was helpful and was easy to find. The house is older but gives it character. Just remember to bring food and toiletries with you as it is not super close to anything with lots of selection. Would totally stay here again without hesitation.

A true stand out property

The beauty of the setting and the property itself is stunning. The owners have worked to provide a gorgeous setting with a lot of room and a stand-out decor. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well-appointed and the views are simply gorgeous. The owner greeted us personally and made sure that we knew just where we were going and where we could obtain provisions and go out to eat. That was a very nice feature. To be sure, those who are lucky enough to stay at this property should be prepared to enjoy "the joy of self-catering" (quote from Colin) and that is certainly reasonable. As such, travelers should expect to provide some of what otherwise might be included in other places they've stayed (example: laundry detergent, paper towels, garbage bags, extra toilet paper). That was easy for us to manage and did not detract one bit from the pleasure of our stay. I've stayed in many countries at many properties and I would rank this as one of the lovliest. .

Exceptional place in Andalusia near Caminito Del Rey

This was our second time staying at this beautiful place in the Andalusian countryside. Last time was winter which we loved at this time it was early summer which was also excellent as we were able to use the pool. The house is big enough for a number of people with three bedrooms and two large bathrooms. But it’s the location that is really spectacular. The view of the mountain right outside your door will stay with you long after you leave. The host is always helpful and on hand if you need anything. I am sure we will be going there again soon
