The host would not tell me how to enter the property, on the phone with VRBO 30 min to get code, property had not been cleaned, there was nastiness in the toilet, no clean towels, dirty towels on the counter, trash in the floor, and I CANNOT GET A REFUND!! Had to pay for an hotel. And it’s still available for someone else to get cheated!

The host was horrible to communicate with, we had no wifi the whole stay and was promised a “small discount l” that was never given. The bed in the first room was broken and looked like it had been taped up a few times…and the grass was so overgrown there was a city notice on the front door..owner also selling so it seems like she just gave up on this property ….. Overall would not go back.

Great for a short stay

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay near the airport, and don’t need to stay long, this would probably be perfect. Although the host had little to zero communication, and I had to try and call just to get the code. I asked them about a WiFi issue we had, and they never replied. The kitchen table was also so wobbly I didn’t want my child to eat at it. I feel like this stay is geared more toward people who have a cancelled flight or something and need somewhere to stay. The place was clean, and the beds were comfy at least to get a good night sleep. There is a for sale sign in the yard so just be aware. We weren’t told about that

Good location, poor communication

Overall, the stay was pleasant. Good location if you want to stay close to Savannah at a good price. Communication with host was strange. There were no check in or check out instructions given. After reaching out to host a couple of times, I was given a code to get into the house. The code was not working. Host eventually got me a new code that worked. I reached out to the host with some questions after getting into the house, never heard back. Also, there was a for sale sign outside the house? I asked the host if we needed to be prepared for people touring the house while we were there, never heard back.

Would stay again with improvements

Starting off we were having trouble with getting checkin info. We did not recieve a code to the checkin til about an hour til checkin.. there was a sign on the door from city inspectors about overgrown grass that was merely taken care of til checkin time where lawn care workers were there when we arrived. We got inside and noticed how clean it was.. no trashcan so we had to use a recycling bin that was found.. we couldn’t clean up a confetti balloon that accidentally popped due to cleaning closet had a pad lock on the door. Our WiFi did not work therefore the smart tv didn’t work. Along with having to search for remote shoved into the side of the couch.. also table and chairs were broken so we couldn’t utilize the dining area. Bed frame in master bedroom was broken on ends. Would stay again.. just needs few adjustments before booking again..

I tend to be very lenient and understanding. It is a rarity for me to leave negative feedback, and I am disappointed to have to do so this time.The biggest issues were a complete lack of communication and no wifi. I was never sent instructions to check in and only received the door code after reaching out to the owner while on the way to the property. Thankfully, they replied within a couple of hours with the door code.However, after getting to the property, we discovered the wifi was not working and immediately notified the owner. Without the wifi, there was no television and no ability for us to easily work remotely. We were limited to the hotspots on our phones.We sent multiple messages and tried to call throughout our first two days. The owner never responded. No acknowledgement. No apology. No attempt to correct the situation. Nothing. There were other issues, but they did not impact our stay as much. The house has a definite mustiness that could be a problem for someone with allergies, gnats in the sink (common for the area and time of year), and the furniture needs some attention - particularly the kitchen table that is near collapse and the bed frame that came apart on our first night.With just a small amount of attention and intentional communication, this could have been a much, much better experience.

Reasonable

Never received check in or out instructions. Tried contacting host multiple times with easy questions and finally received a response day before check in. Received code to check in day of check in and ask for address, received response 5 hrs later when I was already driving around looking for the home in the area. Coffee pot was small, 5 cups, yard was not mowed, Home had a closed up smell so we sprayed, hung air freshener, turned on fans etc.. Remodeling was good, if it was kept up outside and communication was better I would recommend.

Bare necessities only

The bungalow was clean but communication with the host was almost non-existent. The listing doesn't tell you but she doesn't provide the security code for the front door until a few hours before your arrival. There was only the bare necessities...clean sheets and clean towels and travel toiletries. We had to go to a store to buy some household supplies that should have been provided. No welcome information, no check-out information, no response to inquiries. The house is on the market so minimal attention is given to upkeep of the property. There were some broken things in the house that she did not declare up front so I messaged her and she did say she was aware and was trying to get them fixed. We should have been made aware of that beforehand. Like I said, communication was seriously lacking.

Nice but …::::

Hi! The house itself is very nice but the uneven floors left for a lot of trips. Also the communication was horrible. I started reaching out on Monday to get check in details for Thursday. Checkin was at 4pm and it was after 7pm before I finally heard from someone on how to get into the house. Which set me in a panic when my guest and myself were all coming from different states. There were no instructions on anything in the home. We never got the WiFi to work because there were no passwords and so we could not get the tv to work. There was no trash can or trash bags. The yard was well overgrown. It was a nice house with a for sale sign out front. It felt more like a staged house that someone was using for extra income than it did a vacation rental home.
