Alla rum Àr söderlÀge med terrasser med utsikt över poolen och stora grönskande trÀdgÄrdar. Den badrum sovrummet ligger pÄ första vÄningen med klÀdkammare och stor helt privat balkong med solstolar. Den rymliga matsal och vardagsrum boende med vÀlvt tak öppnar sig en stor skuggig terrass med sittgrupp och matbord för 8 + personer. Terrassen vid poolen har ett extra matbord och 6 solstolar i en spektakulÀr miljö omgiven av palmer, olivtrÀd och cypresser. Ett sovrum stuga, mot en extra kostnad, har nyligen renoverats och Àr skild frÄn huvudbyggnaden med sin egen terrass.

En fransk perle af hygge og atmosfĂŠre

Liz og Sean er nogle fantastiske vÊrter, som gÞr det super nemt at holde ferie hos. Huset har alt en familie behÞver og en personlig velkomst. Huset er i et hyggeligt privat omrÄde, med en fantastisk have med super lÊkker pool. Vi har haft en helt anderledes afslappende ferie i et omrÄde som er typisk fransk med masser af gode steder at nÄ indenfor 10-30 min. Vi vil til enhver tid anbefale dette hus og ikke mindst vÊrter og vil glÊde os til at komme tilbage. 6 stjerner herfra selvom der kun var 5 at tage fra.

Fantastic family holiday in stunning villa

We have recently returned from a fantastic family holiday in the villa. The villa and huge grounds really are stunning and surpassed our expectations. Liz and Sean were fantastic hosts and could not have done more for us (from stocking the fridge to arranging for baby sitters). The villa is in an ideal location - a few minutes from the local Carrefour which is of a very high standard and 10 minutes drive from Valbonne. We have stayed in several villas in the area and this is our favourite by far as it ticks all the boxes in terms of location and faciliites. The villa is equipped with everything we would have asked for and more - from pool toys, sky tv, to a table tennis table and basket ball hoop which our two sons loved. We enjoyed our time so much we have booked to return next summer. Thanks again Liz and Sean.

Excellent house in large completely private ground

Liz and Sean are excellent hosts - interaction with them as very professional before the stay on the day of arrival, on the day of departure and after our stay. The house itself is very well equipped with two bedrooms downstairs and one upstairs with its own ensuite bathroom and terrace overlooking the beautiful garden and swimming pool. There is an additional bathroom and separate toilet downstairs along with a very spacious sitting and dining-room and large kitchen and utility room. The kitchen is equipped with everything one is likely to need on holiday and much more. The grounds around the house are large, secure and not overlooked with ample space for parking of several vehicles. The small cottage in the front of the house is also well furnished and equipped and is ideal for those travelling with others with whom they do not necessarily want to share the main house. The swimming pool is a very nice size with good access (steps and ladder) and a graduating bottom, making it suitable for both enthusiastic swimmers as well as those who simply want keep cool in the water. It is cleaned twice weekly and is in great condition. The house is located between the beautiful villages of Valbonne and Biot and very close to a medium-sized Carrefour where one finds everything one is likely to need on holiday, including good cheese and wine - a must while in France! We rent a house with a pool for two weeks every year on the French Riviera and this one is definitely our favourite. Highly recommended in every respect!

Great house with pool and very nice garden

Everything was great with our stay. The owners, Sen and Liz were very pleasant and helpful. The location of the villa is perfect, go to Antibes in 30 minutes or Monaco in 50 minutes. There is a very good Carrefour and a nice bakery 5 minutes walk from the villa. The villa itself is very nice, feels newly renovated and clean. The best thing was however the pool and the garden. Very lush and with several areas to sit and hang out. Highly recommended!

Great & Excellent Owners

The property is wonderful and as advertised. I highly recommend it for those Americans that are thinking about venturing outside their comfort zone. The weather is absolutely fantastic. The only US weather that comes close is southern California, but without the awful freeways and smoggy air. The food in France is of much better quality than what is available in US supermarkets. The property is located on what the French call a "Domaine" which is similar to a gated community sans the gates at the entrance. There are security cameras at the entrance to the domaine. Each property has an iron gate that is remotely controlled. There is parking for three cars. Upon arrival in Valbonne Sean Weatherly met us at the bus stop and took us to the property. The property is very well maintained. The gardener comes twice a week. Everything was taken care of by the owners. There were absolutely no hassles to deal with. The Weatherlys (owners) are English, they speak French and very easy to deal with, especially for anyone from an English speaking country. The rental agreement is in English and spells out terms and conditions in detail. The booking process was simple. After the initial contact and expression of interest we discussed some details by telephone. Payment via wire transfer was confirmed fairly quickly and the damage deposit was returned without delay. A binder containing all details about the property and the general area is available. The few things that needed fixing were taken care of without delay. Bottom line is that you can absolutely trust the Weatherlys after pushing the wire transfer button. There is a well equipped kitchen with everything needed for cooking. A Carrefour supermarket is very close and has excellent parking facilities. There is also a pharmacy and a bakery (boulangerie) with great baguettes and pastries. Medical services are easily available as is emergency services in English are available by calling 112 from a land line or mobile. Do not forget to purchase supplementary medical insurance. The property is located 10 minutes from Valbonne, a medieval village that is well worth a visit. Lou Cigalon in Valbonne is the best restaurant we have ever experienced (make reservations). The riviera is located 25 minutes by car. Make reservations before going to the beach. We recommend the property for a family with children as well as any couple that wants peace and quiet.

Perfect family vacation!

We enjoyed Liz and Sean's property very much and appreciated meeting them upon our arrival. Everything was immaculate and ready for our enjoyment. We were travelling with our 3 year old granddaughter who had a wonderful time in the large pool and the outdoor areas. She also enjoyed getting her chocolate croissant from the nearby bakery every morning (5 min walk). Ali, the gardener does a beautiful job as the landscaping is superb and ensures you total privacy. Moreover, the house is set in a very calm, secluded domain, yet very close to all your needs (grocery, pharmacy, bakery, take out restaurant....). Finally, the village of Valbonne is as charming as you can dream and we felt "at home" after only a few days. We've travelled quite a bit and rented many nice houses but this one is among our very favorites and we would not hesitate to recommend it to our closest friends. A Simply Superb Holiday Retreat!

A fantastic property, very well presented with every aspect a family would need catered for. We found this the best villa property we've stayed at in terms of being able to relax and the kids had a great time with the large pool. A great location for trail running, mountain biking and close to the coastal towns. We hope to return again.

a little paradise

Liz and Sean's home far exceeded our expectations. The house was very tastefully decorated, well appointed and comfortable. We were 2 families (4 adults, 4 kids) and there was more than enough room to comfortably accommodate us. The outdoor area was amazing with lots of room for the kids to safely run around, basketball, lawn games and a beautiful swimming pool with pool toys included. There was a lovely outdoor seating area for warm summer night dinners and a great entertainment center for watching the summer olympics! Liz and Sean were wonderful hosts and were available for all of our needs. We would highly recommend this property to anyone. All in all, a little paradise that we will certainly return to in the future!

Perfect holiday rental!

This was our second time renting Villa Farigoule. Again it exceeded our already high expectations. The owners, Sean and Liz, ware there to greet us and give a tour when we arrived from the airport. They are very nice and helpful. They provided some food, drinks etc making the arrival so much more easy. So you donÂŽt have to rush to the grocery store. Also new packages of schampo, shower gel, tooth paste etc. It feels like coming to a very nice hotel. Everything about the house and information about the location can be read in a helpful book. The location is perfect, 5 minutes to a good sized Carrefour, bakery and pharmacy. Valbonne is a very pretty and child friendly village we went to and had dinner a few evenings of our stay. We loved the homemade ice cream place, probably the best ice cream we've ever tasted. Mougins is also close by and the old village is a must to go, with very nice restaurants. Also Cannes is close by. There are several attractions for children to visit close by. The villa has a very nice layout and is homely decorated. Kitchen and bathrooms are very nice. It is very child friendly with indoor toys and outdoor toys and a lot of swimming floaters. Plenty of towels and linen are provided. The garden itself is very pretty and there are a lot of sun chairs and sitting areas. The guesthouse is also very nice with two rooms, kitchen and a bathroom. Both main building and guesthouse is fully air conditioned. The facilities are very good. We are very happy with our stay and would love to rent next year again.

Hi! We are Liz and Sean, a teacher and an airline pilot, and have owned Villa Farigoule for 15 years. Originally from England, we never thought we’d stay in France as long as we have but once you’ve visited you will understand why we have never left! Our kids grew up here but have now flown the nest and are making their own way in the world. We are passionate about France: the food, wine, lifestyle, culture, history and, of course, the weather. Let’s face it, what’s not to love?

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

For us this house has always been about its location - set in large beautiful gardens of nearly an acre without being overlooked, on a quiet and serene private estate, a bakery and supermarket within walking distance, and the amazing centre of Valbonne village just a short drive away. We are 20 minutes from the beaches and restaurants along the ccoast in one direction and the foothills and jaw dropping scenery of the Alps in the other. Perfection.
The weather in this part of France is simply gorgeous. The summer is long with balmy evenings and the winters short and mild. Days of cloudless skies can stretch on for weeks but the area is still lush and green thanks to rare but heavy downpours.
Activity wise there is something for everyone in the local area. Famous for its magical light, the area has hosted many artists over the years such as Cezanne and Picasso and galleries and museums abound. For wine lovers, there are over 400 vineyards in the surrounding area, many that offer tours. Specialising in rosé, the area has a millennium old wine growing history and visiting vineyards will take you from the coast to the mountains to scenic perched villages.
Looking for something more active? The Cîte d’Azur offers just about every water sport available, on the sea and on the lakes and rivers: sailing, kayaking, waterskiing, canyoning, rafting... Cycling is of course the national sport of France and will appeal, here, to cyclists of all levels both on and off road. Hiking and walking trails abound, and we have direct access to forest just across the road from the house gates.
Or how about the very French pastime of boule, or pĂ©tanque as it is known locally? We play the 3 ball version here. Though you can play anywhere, we recommend you visit Valbonne’s beautiful bouladrome, shaded by ancient Limes.
Of course, to sample any of these things you will need to tear yourself away from the pool.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Villa Farigoule is our much loved home. Whilst we have cleared out our personal clutter, we pride ourselves on its individual personality. It doesn’t have the sterility that holiday homes often have and is very well equipped both inside and out. We love to cook - whether you order takeaways or rustle up a 5 course meal, we are confident that it will have everything you need. There’s paper and crayons, board games and ball games for the kids and generous sized wine glasses and cocktail glasses for you. Outside there are two separate dining areas and we have games, pool toys, a basketball hoop, table tennis table, boule sets, parasols to take the beach...
But perhaps the main reason for choosing to spend your holiday in Villa Farigoule is the peace and serenity. The grounds are quiet, there is space to be together as a family or to be in your own separate areas doing your own thing. And no one will be overlooking you.
In addition to the main villa, if you wish to invite further guests, we have a small 1 bedroomed guest house available for rent at extra cost. Perfect for grandparents who want to have their own space but be close too. Ask for further details and photos.
