Cozy & quiet guest suite on Lake Samish! Large picture windows let in abundant natural light & peek-a-boo views of Lake Samish. Nestled next to 20 acres of neighboring forest you'll be surrounded by nature and tranquility. Retreat to a peaceful respite after your day of traveling, adventuring, or escape from the city life to our cute and comfortably appointed cottage that will feel like home. Close to Galbraith Mountain, Lake Padden and Chuckanut, Skagit Tulip Fields, and the Canadian boarder. Please note that lake access is not permitted.

Since this is located on the property of our primary residence, we will be available as needed to our guests. We love to welcome you in person if our schedules permit, but have the ability to accommodate easy access to the suite if we are not available upon your arrival and/or departure.
Should you need anything during your stay, we will provide a simple and easy way to communicate with us as needed.

Please note, that the suite is attached to our detached garage and has its own, separate entrance. It has a dedicated covered parking spot as well. If you have any questions about the property, please feel free to message us directly.

Nathan is born and raised in Whatcom county and Kate moved here 20 years ago from the greater Seattle area. We set down our roots in the Lake Samish area of Bellingham 20 years ago and absolutely love living the lake life all year long. We have 2 teenage boys that keep us busy and 2 very social cats, Buffy and Scout, who love to greet our guests.
We love hosting guests in our cozy cottage and have had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people. Some local to the area just looking for a date night or quiet get away and some that have traveled from around the world, from Ireland and London and many of our Canadian neighbors!

Lake Samish is a quiet community on the outskirts of Bellingham. We love the peacefulness it brings as well as being convenient to both Bellingham and Mt. Vernon. Many of our neighbors have lived on this street for decades and we love the sense of community we have with our fellow lake residents. We enjoy taking full advantage of living on the lake during the warm months, and it makes such a beautiful view 365 days a year no matter what the weather is doing!

The suite is located on our primary residence property, but detached from the main house. The entire space has been recently remodeled including new windows, flooring, paint, carpet, window coverings, water heater and heating system. It is very cozy and comfortable, private and safe.

The main level includes a sitting area with 2 club chairs and small table, a small desk and chair, kitchenette, full bathroom and queen size bed, nightstands and a large flat screen TV. Upstairs is a loft that has a twin bed. (Please note the steps going up to the loft are slightly steep and the loft is open to the rest of the space. There is a railing, but would not be suitable for small children.)

Stay cool in the summer & warm in the winter w/ ductless heating system. Kitchenette features a small fridge/freezer, microwave, & Keurig coffee maker (coffee & creamer, tea, hot chocolate provided), glasses and disposable utensils and paper plates. The cottage has a full private bathroom (including shampoo, conditioner, soap), flat screen smart TV, Netflix guest account, & free WiFi. Dedicated covered parking, w/ additional parking if needed. (EV) Electric car charging available for additional fee of $10/day.

MOUNTAIN BIKERS: We offer a hot/cold wash station for you to clean your bike after a day on the mountain, free of charge!!! We can also provide secure storage of your bike if you'd like. Just inquire when booking for details.
