Den Whip O Will ligger i en sandig vik på Sabbathday Lake i New Gloucester, Maine, hem av de närliggande Sabbathday Lake Shakers.

Detta sandstränder erbjuder det bästa av båda världarna: en oas av lugn och ro som fortfarande ligger inom slående avstånd från Portland, Freeport, Vita bergen och Maine kusten. Lyssna på lommarna varje morgon och natt medan du njuter av direkt tillgång till den privata föreningen-delad badstrand.

Du kan använda huset som en hemmabas för att njuta av Maine blå himmel i sommar, pip i spektakulära bladverk på hösten, Ice fisk eller skidor och skoter på vintern.

Köket har en full gas spis, kylskåp och mikrovågsugn och är laddade med alla nödvändiga köksredskap och porslin.

Det är en ljus och luftig matsal och vardagsrum med en 180-graders utsikt över sjön och den stora utomhus. Vi erbjuder en kanot, en gasgrill för matlagning utomhus, och allt du behöver för din semester, inklusive sängkläder och handdukar.

Huvudbyggnaden har ett badrum, ett sovrum med en queen size-säng och ett sovloft med en queen size och en tvillingsäng futon soffa.

Det finns en tvättmaskin och torktumlare, WiFi och platt-smarta tv.

En separat studio lägenhet med egen ingång har en öppen koncept layout med 3/4 bad, en full size-säng och en utdragbar soffa.

Vi har gott om parkering. Det finns också gott om utomhus strand sittplatser med en utomhus eldstad. En 30 fot docka för att docka din båt. Tillgång till Tesla laddare.

Tillsammans båda enheterna sova åtta bekvämt.

Great memories, fantastic weather!

We had a wonderful time, the place was perfect for us. The weather was fantastic and Peter was a very gracious host. We hope to rent it next year! The lake is beautiful and quiet. Some of our favorite times were paddle boarding and kayaking.

Relaxing vacation

Had a great week on Sabbathday Lake. The house was very clean and Peter was responsive when we had any questions. The lake was perfect to kayak, fish and paddleboard. The beach was clean. It was a good location to stay and travel around the area.

Excellent!!!!

House was perfect for our party, easy to make home cooked meals and grilling! Beautiful beach and view of Sabbathday Lake! Will definitely return if ever in the area again!!!

Excellent lake front house

My wife and two daughters just finished our weekend stay and we had an absolute blast. The beach and dock were excellent. There were plenty of water toys and the water is crystal clear. The grocery store is close, the Maine Wildlife park is just down the road, and it's not far off I95 so it made for a pretty great weekend getaway. We will hopefully be back next summer. Thank you Peter!

Clean, hip, serene.

It was a wonderful stay at Peters property. His communication was top notch. We really couldn’t be happier with the place, as it greatly exceeded our expectations. Being right on the lake at this time of year was simply wonderful. Every detail was thought about and if we are every back in the area, we will definitely look this property up.

A little piece of paradise

This cozy and stylish lakeside house has everything you need. It's beautifully and comfortably furnished and well stocked with all the necessities. The lake, just steps from the house, has a paddle boat, canoe, and paddle boards. The Shaker Village a few minutes' drive away is fascinating. Can't wait to visit again.

Well provisioned, comfortable, wonderful location

We had a wonderful time. The cottage is very comfortable and the lake is very close. I had to drag the kids out of the lake most days. Great location close to Portland, Freeport, the western mountains, etc. Clearly the owner understands what people want in a vacation place and he has provided it. Thanks for a great two weeks.

Everything you could possibly need for the perfect Maine vacation!

This property exceeded our expectations; the cottage has all the amenities, and the lake view was amazing! The owner, Peter, was so kind to check in with us after we first arrived to ensure that we had everything we needed...really appreciated that personal touch! Our only regret is that we did not have an opportunity to use the wonderful outdoor space the owner has created for guests as we were constantly "on the go" with local family. We would definitely rent this cottage again!

Beautiful House!

This house is absolutely beautiful, well maintained, clean, and stocked better than any other rental house we have ever stayed in! The owner, Peter, lives close by and is very welcoming and at the ready to help should you need anything; he really made us feel like family during our stay. One night we were going to grill and the propane tank ran out; Peter came by with a new tank in no time and we were on our way to enjoying burgers. We are looking forward to the chance to stay here again!

Beautiful & Peaceful Lake House

This is an incredible property if you are lucky enough to be in the area. The house is cozy and well stocked with all the comforts of home. The view from both units is gorgeous. The beach access is large with plenty of room to hang out or partake in many water activities, which the owner has provided. The location is nice and quiet. We had a hard time leaving! Peter the owner is very friendly and accommodating.

Peacefull vacation

Very clean and well supplied with everything needed for a relaxing week. The owner was available for questions when needed, but was not at all intrusive. The dock was not available due to the excessive rain, but Peter made arrangements with a neighbor to use their dock for our boat. Very nice.

This a beautiful property on a clean, quiet lake.

Peter’s property is nicely updated with tasteful decor and is well stocked with everything you could need; from kitchen supplies, to beach towels, even beach toys for the kids. The lake is clean and quiet and the beach in front of the property is large and great for kids to play on. We enjoyed multiple meals with our large extended family on the outdoor eating spaces. Having a grill to use was awesome. Peter was attentive to all our needs. Thank you Peter for an amazing vacation spot!

My family and myself had a wonderful time. A very relaxing vacation no hustle and bustle just kicking back... Lake water clean and refreshing Sandy beach and house very clean. The owner Peter lives a few houses down and is assessable. Always there if you needed something or had any questions and a great person. We rebooked for next year and can’t wait !!

PEACE!!

Total relaxation! This was our first trip to Maine to visit my brother and his family—I can now see why they are so in love with this state! The view from this house overlooking the lake will put anyone at complete peace. Sit outside, enjoy watching the kids use the provided life jackets, paddle boards, 2 person paddle boat, kayak and canoe while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Thank you Peter for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful summer stay!

Peter was very responsive and easy to work with. The house was clean and well kept. The downstairs studio was a plus. Peter also gave a lot of thought into the supplies within the house and outside. He had firewood, candles, insect candle, water bucket to wash your feet off before entering the house, water tubes, everything for the kitchen and bath. It was a wonderful stay and it would be my pick again for years to come.

Family Vacation

We booked this site because of the lake, the location to Portland and golf courses, and the ability to bring our dogs. We were blessed that all 3 of our adult children got the time off, we were all together with my 90 year old Mom. The house was perfect, we loved spending the whole day in the lake, Peter supplies the paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, and a paddle boat. The setting was amazing, and our son proposed to his girlfriend on the dock in front of our family!!! It was a perfect week in the perfect spot, we will be coming back for sure!!!!! Thank You Peter for such an amazing location for our momentous event!!!

Wonderful week on the lake in August

Peter is a great host. The lake is lovely and clean. Getting into the water is gradual and sandy, which made it easy for our grandkids to walk in and play where it's shallow or jump in off the dock. They loved swimming to the floating dock. Lots of chairs for sitting by the lake plus kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. The house is as described and very comfortable. The separate "apartment" below the main house worked well for our two families. We had a great time. Thank you, Peter.

Amazing

The house, AMAZING, the view, AMAZING, the owner, AMAZING! You get the point......The house was very clean and modern and had everything that you would need. The beach was perfect and use of the kayaks, paddle boards, and paddle boat were a great addition. We’ve rented many homes and never found an owner that was as attentive and responsive as Peter was. We’ll be booking with Peter again for sure.

Laid-back yet stylish home away from home

If it weren't for the lure of the lake steps away from the front door, I'd never want to leave this beautiful and comfortable house. The open-plan kitchen/living/dining area offers an uninterrupted view of the beautiful scenery outside. The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking a pleasure. Indoors there are Wi-fi and a large TV; outdoor pleasures include a deck with a grill, and down on the beach are a fire pit, floating dock, paddle boat, and canoe. The house was immaculate and the bed was super comfortable. A trip to the Shaker Village 10 minutes away was fascinating. Portland and the Freeport outlets are an easy drive. Can't wait to return!

Loved our first trip to Maine!

I stayed at this house with my mom, dad and adult daughter. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and enjoy the week. The house itself had everything we needed and then some! While we didn’t have the best of weather, we thoroughly enjoyed time on the dock, in the paddle boat and kayak, and the beach. We could have easily stayed another week and loved every day. We drove to Freeport for shopping, Portland and Cape Elizabeth for sightseeing and Boothbay Harbor area for the botanical gardens and a whale watching excursion. Everything was a bit of a drive from the house but I knew that before booking. We wanted to see Maine and all the different countrysides so this location ended up being perfect for us! Thank you for opening your house up to us so we could experience Maine together. Memories were made that will last a lifetime ❤️
