'Hygge' is a Danish and Norwegian word that essentially means "taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures."

We have redesigned this home to encompass just that! We have curated a space for your friends and family to come together, take a deep breath, and soak up some quality time with each other.

Featuring 3 bedrooms on the main floor - all with King beds - a queen bed pullout in the living room, a basement rec room with a King-sized Bunk Bed and 5th bedroom with two twin beds - this spacious home can comfortably hold up to 13 people!

This beautiful home boasts a Scandinavian-inspired kitchen and dining room, a living room walkout to the new patio and sun room to the side, a downstairs game room with Air Hockey table, oversized Connect 4, and large back yard w/ Fire pit - there's plenty of room to play and lounge! Oh! And did we mention the private and enclosed Hot Tub? Plus, enjoy the two Smart TV's with access to multiple streaming services if you manage to get tired of everything else!

Beautiful Property...exceeded our expectaions!

We had a party of nine and we all had our space. There was plenty of areas to hang out together too!! There was a nice garden to walk around and the pool was wonderful! Dianne our hostess was great and always available. The Kitchen was well appointed and we all enjoyed cooking there and on the large outside grill. It would be a good idea to bring plug adapters if coming from the US. Overall we loved this place and we will be back!!!

Outstanding Villa - Perfect for Extended Family

Fantastic stay at Villa Lunt with our family of five, my brother, and our elderly parents! The Villa is large and immaculate, with tall-ceilings, and a light-filled, modern open layout with plenty of group gathering spots inside and out. Spacious, beautiful grounds are filled with birds, iguanas, flowering shrubs, and large trees. Diane gave us a thorough briefing of the house, and Merrill was our own private concierge setting us up with scuba diving and restaurant reservations, and important arrival information to speed our entry into Bonaire. The Villa is perfectly located to scuba and snorkel along the northwest coast, travel north to Washington Slagbaai National Park, or Southeast for the Mangrove Kayaking. We loved every minute of our stay and would love to return. The Villa grounds are inhabited by a large iguana that makes occasional appearances (and remains) which were highly memorable.

Wonderful Stay

Merrill was simply awesome to deal with from the very 1st contact about this booking clear through to check out. It is obvious that she cares greatly about her guests. We found the home to be very clean. The pool area offers much privacy and even though it is surrounded by other homes we could never see anyone from the pool area. If I were to ever return to Bonaire I would not hesitate to rent this villa again.

Perfect Accommodations!

Villa Lunt was wonderful. The property was very spacious, even for our group of nine. The house had everything we needed, and everything was in working order. The location was ideal- we enjoyed the quiet and private neighborhood, and it was just a short drive into town. The property owner was extremely helpful in making suggestions and answering all of our questions for weeks up to our stay and during our stay. I can't say enough positive things about this property! Thank you so much Merrill for a wonderful vacation.

Gorgeous property

Absolutely beautiful villa. Location is perfect. Private and secluded. Large, refreshing swimming pool. Guest house is a 2nd "home within a home" making Villa Lunt ideal for two couples or two families. Property owners Steve and Merrill Lunt are incredibly responsive and accommodating. Five star experience. We will be back !

Blown away, could not have been more perfect!!!

I'm not even sure where to begin. This trip was made with a group of 8 total, for my 50th birthday. To start with, Merrill was nothing short of AMAZING, helping us to secure a van, giving us ideas of things to do, places to go, and leading up to the trip she left nothing out. Quick to respond to emails, extremely helpful and attentive. Lily worked with my husband and cousin to make some special birthday touches for when we arrived. The home itself? Absolutely gorgeous. Spacious, lots of room for everyone, nicely laid out. The landscape is heavenly. It's comfortable, airy, and the pool is perfect after a long day of activities. The location? Not far from many snorkel/dive sites, in a gorgeous section of the island. Safety was never a concern. Also, it was close enough to downtown but not too close. I just cannot recommend Villa Lunt enough. If you have a small group or a large group, your vacation will truly be something special and unforgettable at this property. It was all we'd hoped for and much, much more. I would definitely stay here again in the future! Thanks so much to the Lunt family - we truly appreciate you and your hospitality!

Our trip was amazing and the villa was nothing short of the best, it was easy to communicate with the property manager and the place was in order for our arrival. The best part was the pool and space outside for everyone. Well worth the money.

Loved, Loved it!!

We stayed a week in Villa Lunt and absolutely loved it! The house is located in an upscale, quiet neighborhood that's convenient to town with shopping, restaurants and activities just 10 minutes away. We really enjoyed walking and jogging in the mornings and felt safe comfortable. The house is clean, well appointed and spacious with a great kitchen, amazing wrap around deck and an awesome guest house that overlooks the pool. Landscaping is meticulously kept and the pool and giant pergola are perfect for lounging after adventurous days! The owners, Merrill and Steve, were fantastic to deal with. Merrill actually writes a blog and knows Bonaire like the back of her hand. Great suggestions for all the wonderful activities we did, (diving, dining, donkey sanctuary, wind buggys, island trails, private sailing excursion, etc). We highly recommend this luxury property and its owners. One of our favorites from our numerous travels!!

Beautifuly Property in Quiet Neighborhood! May 2019

Villa Lunt is absolutely wonderful! We were a family with three children (16,14,9) and two grandmothers. The property is spacious and well-appointed. It had PLENTY of outdoor spaces for everyone, and to allow you to move throughout the day to catch the shade and the trade winds. (My favorite spot was the Adirondack chairs at the corner on the main porch!) As is typical for Bonaire, there was A/C in the bedrooms for restful sleep, but no air in the common room. While it was a little warm, if you open the windows you can get a nice breeze through. The rinse tanks available were wonderful for the divers, and this non-diving Mama appreciated the full size laundry machine. Everyone enjoyed relaxing in and beside the pool. If you like local wildlife, we saw many birds, lizards, and iguanas. There were even three parrots that we saw many times. The kitchen was large and had pretty much anything you could ask for. (I brought my own silicone muffin cups because I never expect a muffin tin.) Lots of plates, cups, etc. We ate at the villa every day but one and never had a problem. WiFi was excellent throughout the grounds. There were plenty of beds and towels for everyone. One grandmother and two kids stayed down in the guesthouse and loved having the separate space. The communication from Merrill was above and beyond. I LOVED how much information was provided and how clear everything was. The property manager, Lily, was so easy to work with. The location of the villa is a bit north of town, and you can just barely see the ocean from a couple of spots, but we didn't really miss the view that much. The neighborhood was quiet and away from the bustle of town, which we all loved. Still, the dive shop and town was less than 10 minutes away in a car. (A vehicle is a must, though!) I would gladly stay here again. I hope we get the opportunity in the future. This property comes with my highest recommendation.

Overall - great week at Villa Lunt

Before we even got there, the communication between Merrill and myself was perfect. She helped reserving us a car, hooking us up with a dive company, and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. When we arrived, the property manager was waiting for us after we picked up our luggage. She helped with the rental car pickup and we then followed her to the property, where she showed us around and gave us all of the info that we'd need for the week. We used all 6 bedrooms for our group of 11, and the property was plenty big enough for us all to feel comfortable. While the inside of the house was fine, the outside was the star of the show! The pool area was great with plenty of covered areas for those that wanted shade, and there was plenty of seating all around the pool. The house itself had a huge porch, with a large dining table and couches. I would highly recommend Villa Lunt for it's great location, great communication, and especially a great property!

amazing house and wonderful getaway

I had an amazing time during my stay at Villa Lunt. Not only was it a beautiful house, exactly as described in the listing, but it was also in a great area. It is close to most beaches, and on days that we didn't feel like going to the beach, our group was able to relax by the beautiful pool. The bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and living room were all luxurious and modern. The family that owns the house was easy to communicate with and very friendly. Overall, Villa Lunt was an amazing experience and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Another Happy Holiday

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely villa with us for the past 2 weeks Merrill. We had a great time here and really appreciated all your help with our last minute booking. Your villa is fab and has everything you need. The gardens are very pretty and they do give a lot of privacy. We enjoyed being able to sit outside and have dinner or drinks without feeling you're being overlooked with the exception of the very friendly Mockingbirds that is LOL. Lily was very helpful when we needed her and easy to deal with too, so please pass on our thanks to her for all she did. Being collected from the airport is a big bonus as it avoids you having to try and find the villa on your own for the first time. It's not difficult to get to and from the villa once you know where it is but when you've been travelling for 15+ hours and you're tired and hot wrestling with directions is probably not what you need. It's a 10 min drive to the centre of town and the main supermarkets and there are lots of beautiful northern dive sites almost on your doorstep. The villa sleeps a lot more than just the 2 of us who were there so we did have a lot of room that we didn't need but it still felt homely and is ideal for larger groups who don't want to be living on top of each other. Thank you once again Merrill for all your help, you are a lovely person to deal with and make everything so easy. It was nice to get the 'checking in' e-mail too making sure things were going well etc. very much appreciated. Kym & Bob.

Relax and recharge at Villa Lunt

This was my first trip to Bonaire and I was so glad I got to stay at Villa Lunt because it gave me a great place to relax and recharge before each day’s adventure. I went with a group and stayed in the guest house during my visit. The property and houses are beautiful, clean, comfortable, private and well-maintained. The property manager did a great job making sure we had everything we needed for our visit and even made some spot on suggestions for dining and activities. At the end of the day it was great to gather with friends and family under the stars and relax by the pool. It really felt like a home away from home. Villa Lunt exceeded my expectations in every way!

We absolutely love staying at Villa Lunt! Villa Lunt is so lovely and comfortable with the breeze flowing through. We love the evenings out by the pool as the sky darkens towards nighttime and the stars come out. Always clean and well maintained, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful Bonaire

As always, we celebrated February in our favorite vacation spot, Villa Lunt, Bonaire. The villa is beyond beautiful. Everything you could ever need or want in a vacation home. We love staying here because when we feel lazy, we stay at the house, which is as lovely as any resort you can book into. In Bonaire the snorkeling, swimming and diving is fantastic. Then, when you have finished a day of activity how nice to go into town for a fantastic dinner at one of many gourmet restaurants. Just trying to decide which one to go to. Or stay on the wonderful veranda at the house and have dinner prepared for you! All fantastic options. Been staying in this home for 6 years and hopefully will be staying over and over again. Already booked in for next year. Merrill and Steve are truly gracious hosts and this place never disappoints.

Had a great time, kids loved it

It's a beautiful property. Merrill and Lily were extremely helpful, friendly, and kind. We were met when we arrived and we're given help with any problems we had. All the care made for an unforgettable vacation. The pool was great!

Great Property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was spacious and clean as advertised. The location was convenient and with an terrific area to rinse and dry gear as well as spacious place to relax by the pool for the afternoon. Just what we were looking for. Also, the communication before, during and after our stay was fantastic. It was the first time we have come to Bonaire and not stayed on the water. We were not disappointed. Thanks for the great memories.

Paradise in Bonaire

As usual, our stay in this fabulous villa was perfect. Merrill and Steve and Lily go out of their way to make you feel like the most valued and special visitors. My husband and I have been staying here for years, including our honeymoon, and will continue to stay again and again. The property is maintained with care and consideration of all your comforts. And the owners are so responsive to any questions or concerns. We love Bonaire for the beaches and the snorkeling and great restaurants. Staying in this wonderful environment just makes our trips all the more special. I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to have a great experience in this special, amazing place.
