Welcome to The Hygge House!

'Hygge' is a Danish and Norwegian word that essentially means "taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures."

We have redesigned this home to encompass just that! We have curated a space for your friends and family to come together, take a deep breath, and soak up some quality time with each other.

Featuring 3 bedrooms on the main floor - all with King beds - a queen bed pullout in the living room, a basement rec room with a King-sized Bunk Bed and 5th bedroom with two twin beds - this spacious home can comfortably hold up to 13 people!

This beautiful home boasts a Scandinavian-inspired kitchen and dining room, a living room walkout to the new patio and sun room to the side, a downstairs game room with Air Hockey table, oversized Connect 4, and large back yard w/ Fire pit - there's plenty of room to play and lounge! Oh! And did we mention the private and enclosed Hot Tub? Plus, enjoy the two Smart TV's with access to multiple streaming services if you manage to get tired of everything else!

Quiet neighborhood

The Hygge House was a perfect accommodation for our family group of ten. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to main roads to all the activities we did during our stay. The grandkids greatly enjoyed the basement area for playing and sleeping. One of the reasons we chose to stay at The Hygge House was the outstanding photos emphasizing the outdoor beauty, but we were highly disappointed initially of the outward appearance and overgrown lawn. Neither hindered the fun we enjoyed there! We will definitely consider The Hygge House again in the future!

Truly lovely

Our second stay at Villa Lunt and it is a special place. The house is really comfortable, the pool and outdoor living areas are amazing, and the grounds are beautiful and spacious. We cant wait to go back already.

Beautiful Villa in Bonaire

We have stayed in this lovely villa twice and cannot wait to get back again next year. We love this home so much we decided to make it our honeymoon destination. Merrill and Steve do everything possible to make your stay fabulous and they are very generous hosts. Lots to see and do and wonderful restaurants at the end of the day. Love Bonaire and love this villa.

Villa Lunt, Paradise on Bonaire

We absolutely love staying at Villa Lunt! Villa Lunt is so lovely and comfortable with the breeze flowing through. We love the evenings out by the pool as the sky darkens towards nighttime and the stars come out. Always clean and well maintained, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Amazing trip

Our trip was amazing and the villa was nothing short of the best, it was easy to communicate with the property manager and the place was in order for our arrival. The best part was the pool and space outside for everyone. Well worth the money.

A real vacation

Had a great time, kids loved it

It's a beautiful property. Merrill and Lily were extremely helpful, friendly, and kind. We were met when we arrived and we're given help with any problems we had. All the care made for an unforgettable vacation. The pool was great!

Villa Lunt amazing!!!

This villa had everything. Modern but comfortable decor, fabulous pool and the guest house offers the opportunity for a couple to have privacy or allows there to be 2 families without feeling crowded. The gardens are beautiful and location is just minutes away from so many beaches and restaurants. I am definitely coming back!!

A beautiful villa to come back to!

We received excellent service when we arrived, during our stay and when we left. The villa is a very beautiful villa with the necessary amenities. It is a home to come back to after a day at the beach windsurfing, kiting or sightseeing. The gazebo is beautifully lit at night and we frequently had a BBQ here. We would love to come back in the future and we certainly recommend this property to others.

Loved Villa Lunt

The pool is big, chairs in the sun and the shade, the house has a lot of space, it's very clean, all the conveniences you could ask for. In the evening the porch and the pool area are lit up in such a pretty way. It's just nice to be there. We relaxed while we were at the Villa and we had adventures every day, because everything fun is close

Great house!!

Our second stay at this villa and again realy loved it! We were with a group of 11 this time and everyone absolutely enjoyed it. There was enough space for all of us and we can't think of anything to complain about. Everything was clean, spacious and the beds were comfortable. Looking forward to our next stay! :) Very recommendable!

Great spot for a great vacation!

House was great and 100% as advertised...highly recommended! We stayed with two families (4 adults and 4 children), plenty of room for everyone. Outdoor living areas are great, lots of shade or sun and the pool was fantastic ( couldn't get the kids out of the water). Merrill (owner) and Bernard (caretaker) were very attentive and responsive with any questions via phone or email. Already looking forward to planning another trip! Thanks!

Gorgeous property

Absolutely beautiful villa. Location is perfect. Private and secluded. Large, refreshing swimming pool. Guest house is a 2nd "home within a home" making Villa Lunt ideal for two couples or two families. Property owners Steve and Merrill Lunt are incredibly responsive and accommodating. Five star experience. We will be back !

Wonderful Stay

Merrill was simply awesome to deal with from the very 1st contact about this booking clear through to check out. It is obvious that she cares greatly about her guests. We found the home to be very clean. The pool area offers much privacy and even though it is surrounded by other homes we could never see anyone from the pool area. If I were to ever return to Bonaire I would not hesitate to rent this villa again.

Beautiful Bonaire Villa

Villa Lunt is wonderful and we loved our time there. The villa is very comfortable and equipped with all we needed to make for a great vacation. It is situated perfectly to take full advantage of the breeze. There are many great spots to relax outside. The pool area is beautifully laid out and the grounds are lovely with lots of tropical plantings. The owners and property manager make themselves available and really want you to have a great visit. Staying there really added to our holiday and we look forward to visiting again soon.

Beautiful Property...exceeded our expectaions!

We had a party of nine and we all had our space. There was plenty of areas to hang out together too!! There was a nice garden to walk around and the pool was wonderful! Dianne our hostess was great and always available. The Kitchen was well appointed and we all enjoyed cooking there and on the large outside grill. It would be a good idea to bring plug adapters if coming from the US. Overall we loved this place and we will be back!!!

Better than we remembered!

This was our second visit to this home on Bonaire, and I agree with other reviewers, it won't be our last. The property has been well maintained, with new furniture and fresh paint. The landscaping continues to be beautiful. Our children loved the pool, and our host, Merrill and property manager Marc were as helpful as the last visit. Looking forward to our third visit.
