Välkommen till Aerie! Njut av detta storslagna samlingshus med stort flöde och tillräckligt med rum för alla strandälskare i ditt liv. Hemmet ligger mellan två av Cape Anns mest eftertraktade stränder, Long Beach och Good Harbor Beach. Som en extra bonus är hemmet en stund promenad till en glassställ och pizzabutik.

Beamed tak, panelerade väggar och trägolv i hela ger perioddetaljer och skapar en traditionell stuga vibe. På första våningen finns ett öppet konserthus och matplats, ett badrum med dusch, ett stort vardagsrum med massor av sittplatser och en mysig häll med öppen spis. Det finns också en färdig, sluten veranda på första våningen tvättad med naturligt ljus som öppnar mot en stor uteplats perfekt för matsal och solstol utomhus. Tvätt finns också på denna nivå.

Den andra nivån har 8 sovrum * och ytterligare ett badrum. Två av de främre sovrummen har avlägsen havsutsikt. Dessa rum är de enda rummen i huset som INTE har AC. Resten av huset kyls antingen med central luft eller fönsterenheter.

Huset kan sova 17 personer i sängar. En säng ligger på den sovande verandan på framsidan av huset mellan två av de andra sovrummen och har inte full integritet (en glasdörr skiljer denna dörr från korridoren men vi har tillhandahållit en gardin).

Namnet Aerie betyder en upphöjd, avskild bostad och detta hem är precis det. Denna nära 100 år gamla strandstuga ligger ovanför Thatcher-vägen, vilket gör det till en snabb promenad till lokala stränder. Den stora uppfarten och ytterligare en liten tomt tvärs över gatan gör det möjligt för gäster att parkera upp till tio bilar.

UPPDATERING: Sängkläder / handdukar ingår. Lakan lämnas ute för att gästerna ska få bäddsoffor vid behov. Gästerna kan välja bort linneservice och spara linneavgiften ($ 175). Strandhanddukar lämnas ute för gäster mellan Memorial Day och Columbus Day endast.

Family Time in Gloucester

Our family has been spending time in Gloucester every year since 1985. As our family has grown, so has our need for accommodations which can support the brood. Lisa & PJs house was perfect: well appointed, clean, easy check in/check out processes, and plenty of space to spend quality time together. The location is also convenient; you can walk to Good Harbor, Long Beach, and the Ice Cream shop right down the street. A wonderful home for a wonderful time! Thank you so much, we are very grateful.

Great Home for a Large Family Celebration

We went to Gloucester to celebrate my husband's 75th birthday in February. This home was perfect for our large family-8 grown-ups and 5 children ranging in age from one to seven. We really appreciated having the eight bedrooms with plenty of choices of beds-bunks, twins, queens and kings. The kitchen was roomy and very well stocked and there was plenty of room to accommodate all of us in the dining area. We were so pleased that it was an easy walk to Good Harbor Beach and a quick drive to both Rockport and Gloucester. We enjoyed hanging out in the living room and enclosed porch. Even in winter, this was an awesome place to rent! I imagine it would be even more wonderful in the warm weather. There was plenty of room to park all our cars. The host was great about communicating and answered any inquiries we had immediately. My husband was thrilled with the celebration and I feel so lucky I chose here to have it! Thank you Lisa and Patrick!!

Our favorite thing about this property was how stocked the kitchen implements were. And so many rooms! Very cozy, right up the street from a public beach, can't go wrong. Good communication with host.

Beautiful October get away!

Location was absolutely perfect to everywhere our group wanted to visit. This home was perfect plenty of room to sleep we even had extra beds! Lobster rolls across the street are amazing we had one every night. Great place to gather with the fam and plenty of space to spread out too 😉 hosts were responsive and took care of whatever needs we had❤️

Wedding weekend at Aerie

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our weekend visit to Gloucester. The house was comfortable, well equipped, and clean. We walked to Long Beach several times and strolled the beach at low tide and the walkway at high tide.

Lovely house near the beach

We had a wonderful family reunion at this lovely home near fantastic Good Harbor Beach. Lots of space for gathering. Well furnished kitchen. Hosts were responsive without being intrusive. Would rent again!

Great for family gatherings

Nice property!. AC is provided in most rooms but not all as stated in the listing - That gets a little rough on hot nights if you are the ones sleeping in the non-AC rooms :) Overall a very nice family friendly home close to the beech. Driveway is very steep and it is difficult to get in and out of onto the main road. There are a lot of stairs to get up to the house from the driveway way so a bit challenging for my 85 year old mother but again, overall a very nice home with very good hosts !

Perfect location.

The house is ideally located between the two beaches, a short walk along lovely seaside streets to the prettiest end of Good Harbor Beach and an even shorter walk to Long Beach, great for morning walks and runs along its sea wall. The house is large with ample and comfortable outdoor space. A great week for the whole family.

Fun friend getaway!

Wonderful house! Bedrooms were great and plenty of them! Tons of room for adults and kids! Cozy living room, toddler friendly, loved the side siting room for night cap chats! Very close to the beach and town! Lisa was a great host, great to communicate with!

This was the perfect house to rent with toddlers.

This was a perfect place to rent with grandchildren. The inclosed porch was a plus and the all around deck was perfect for them to play. Also the side deck was a great place to play cornhole. I also loved the two entrances to the bedrooms upstairs.

Cleanliness and check out process.

I hope you do take the time to read this. I will start this review by saying the property was a very good option, and it was a perfect fit for us. But unfortunately, not everything turned out to be as perfect as we'd expect it to be. Before our stay, it was outlined that we put dirty linens and towels in a specific bag, which was understandable. At the time of check out, we did exactly that and we also put in the bags with the dirty linen the blankets we had used. Given our current Covid-19 pandemic situation, this made sense to do. Who wants to sleep in our previsouly used blankets? While this made sense to us, it did not to the hosts. We were charged $200 extra for our extra careful thoughtfulness for the next guests. This tells me that we slept with blankets of another group of people because these are not regularly washed. Overall, the place was a great stay, the space was perfect, the cleanliness was good, not great and I would have chosen the place for a future stay but given the message of how rarely these blankets are washed, how clean is the space during these times where cleanliness and extra carefulness has become essential, it is no longer an option.

Great stay at a wonderful large home

Family and friends week long getaway. All loved the house. Plenty of room, 12 minute walk to the beach, take the backroads not the main road when walking to the beach as the homes in the neighborhood on the waterfront make it a pleasurable walk on Salt Island Road. Will rent again!

The Aerie

We had a wonderful stay at the Aerie! Thank you! Our family loved all the space and the outdoor deck/patio. The reading nook was adorable and we enjoyed the large kitchen. We hope to return again. We fell in love with Good Harbor Beach!

This house can accommodate a large group (17) in some respects, particularly the number of beds, size of kitchen, and living room. Two bathrooms can be a stretch, but doable. The amount we paid for the linen service was an overpayment. The linens are old, thin, and limited; I have never rented thru VRBO & seen such unacceptable linens. I would have rented my own if I had known they would have been so bad. The dining room cannot accommodate 17 people, so beware, if you have a big group you will not all be sitting together. The house was not clean. We have two people in our family with asthma, so this was particularly disturbing & we took it upon ourselves to vac the bedrooms because of the accumulated dust under the beds. Having a toddler crawl on the floors, the dirt showed up on his pant knees & hands. In fairness to the owners, they have discussed the possibility of refunding the cleaning fee because of the houses’ condition. As of this time, we have not received that refund.

Boys Weekend Away

Overall the house was as advertised. A couple of suggestions. Please put the wireless network and password in the welcoming information. I would also suggest upgrading the TV and the TV package. For a bunch of guys on the weekend, to have no ESPN was very disappointing. The TV package is very limited, very few channels. Lastly, older house, so in cold weather it does take quite a while for the heat to come up. It ended up working out fine, but it was cold for a few hours. Overall the experience was very positive, very nice location, and clean inside.

Great house for a reunion

We had a wonderful reunion of college housemates at Aerie House - some of whom hadn’t seen each other in > 40 years! The space really worked for us - great, large well-equipped kitchen, plenty of space for our group of 9 to hang out in the living room and on the sunny deck.

PJ grew up in Gloucester and has an intimate knowledge of the area having worked on local whale watches and Inns before going to college and accepting a commission in the U.S. Army. We now live north of Boston where he serves as a Firefighter and I as a Manager.

My family vacationed in the area for many years renting homes over the summer. We purchased a nearby property and love sharing the local beaches with visitors. When this property became available we loved its private setting and generous amount of space.

This grand home is massive! Great for families or groups you will have tons of room. The inclusion of a private lot across the street from the property adds parking for all your beach visitors. The indoor/outdoor living space is a key addition to this home.
