We had a great view, great access to the crabbing dock, and the access to the beach was a little farther but still walkable. We really enjoyed time with family there. It was just a short drive to the Newport bayfront and walked to get food and drinks at the Rogue. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice house, great location.

The location is excellent for exploring Newport. Easy walk to South Beach. Great for a dog with many trails. It’s also walkable to the aquarium and just a short drive to Newport, Nye Beach and lighthouses.

This is a very roomy home with lots of windows for enjoying the view of the harbor and the ocean. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood that’s well patrolled by local law enforcement. Our family enjoyed staying in this home!

Interesting layout.

The family room and kitchen are on the second floor so the view is terrific. It's difficult getting a cooler up to the kitchen though. It's located in a quiet area within walking distance of the South Jetty. Good separation of space with two bedrooms and a bath down and the same on the second story. There is plenty of room inside so no one felt crowded.

Beach Retreat

The place was perfect for our small family. The kids could down stairs or into the garage to play, the older kids and adults could go crabbing and for walks. It was close to everywhere they wanted to go and the view was incredible for those who wanted to just relax. Thanks for sharing your home.

Positives: Good price for a good location. Right near aquarium, science center, brewery, crabbing pier, jetty. Tons of beds. Very efficient heating system, combined with gas fireplace, we were warm enough during a late October storm. Cornhole and crab pots in the garage. Fantastic modern appliances. Negatives: Awfully dirty. Baseboards, tops of trim absolutely covered in dust and cobwebs. Inside of trash can disgusting. Floors were caked with years of built up grime. No way to operate kitchen exhaust fan and bathroom fan was non-operational. None of the lids coordinated to any of the pots or pans. TV nonfunctioning which was particularly frustrating as we wanted to watch the World Series (luckily enough experience with vacation rentals, we brought our own tv). Also their “ocean view” refers to northern-facing.

Excellent home.

We loved that the house was so close to the Marina, Rogue Brewery, Hatfield Marine Science Center, and other Newport attractions. We order out one night to Lees Wok, they delivered and it was delicious.

View, Location but nothing more

Pros: -Beautiful view of the bridge -Extremely convenient location -No ensuite bathrooms makes sharing with a group quite easy. Cons: -Musty downstairs impacts 2/4 bedrooms. -Old & uncomfortable beds. -Zero information provided for WiFi. -Kitchen is not well equipped for cooking at home. Pots don’t have lids, some essential utensils are absent and the cupboards should really be labeled because there are a lot. -Many window seals are broken causing fogging. -Downstairs rugs are tripping hazards. -They didn’t leave an extra toilet paper. -Nothing helpful onsite for families with small children.

Beds are soo bad, I wouldn’t stay here again unless I knew they were replaced. House needs some general cleaning and maintenance but a beautiful view

Newport Bay Retreat

We love the view of the bay from every window and the closeness to everything. The house is fully furnished and comfortably suits are needs. It’s the first time we’ve stayed here and we hope to come back again in the future.

Labor Day Weekend stay

Great Views

Pet friendly home in great location. Has a few issues but I am sure they will be resolved. Would consider staying again if I needed to have the space for several people.

Family time

This was a wonderful location for our family with lots of activities available close at hand, some within walking distance. The inside space was just right and the view was beautiful! The kitchen was well equipped with a few exceptions. We didn’t find a long handled spatula or tongs for the grill. There was nothing to scrub out pots and pans with. There were no working smoke detectors. The conifer trees on the ocean side need attention. Hope this is helpful. We would come again.

Love the bay.

Enjoyed the location and view of the bay, bridge, boats and people clam digging. Sleeping arrangements were good for the whole family. Some maintenance issues needed attention but they did not cloud our enjoyment of the weekend.

Perfect for families and great view

House was clean and had all the necessities needed. Amazing view of bay and bridge. Short walk to walking trails and Marine science center. We absolutely loved it here and will definitely come back. Perfect for our family of 7 and pup. Only thing that needs improvement is some of the beds were a little uncomfortable. But other than that it was great.
