Njut av din vistelse i närheten av Munising i denna gammala skolstuga. Inget snyggt här. Blöt bara i sjön och några bekväma varelser (WiFi, tvättmaskin / torktumlare, 2 badrum) nära Pictured Rocks. Town Lake ligger bara 12. 8 miles söder om Munising.

Den enkla stugan med ranch stil har 2 sovrum. Ett sovrum har en king size-säng och ett rum med 2 dubbelsängar. Turtle Cove har ett stort vardagsrum / matsal för att njuta av den avkopplande utsikten över sjön eller titta på TV. Stugan är utrustad med grundläggande WiFi och DirectTV. Det finns också en mobiltelefonbooster för dig som har Verizon. I vardagsrummet finns också en futon och en bäddsoffa. Köket har ugn, mikrovågsugn, kylskåp, kaffebryggare, mixer, brödrost, bestick och disk för dig. Två badrum har vardera sin egen dusch, varav ett är mellan sovrummen. En tvättmaskin och torktumlare finns i ett av badrummen. En propangrill och eldstaden ligger vid sjön. Town Lake är känt för att vara en bra bad / fiske / och tyst båtljö. Pete's Lake i närheten är känd som all-sportsjön. Stugan ligger bara några hundra meter från närbutiken Forest Glen där gas, båtar, vattenskidor, pontoner, bete och glass kan avnjutas.

Bild Rocks National Lakeshore: Bara 25 minuter bort på Lake Superior i Munising. Nedan är bara några av de saker du hittar i Munising och Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore-området.
Miners Falls: det är ett vattenfall som ligger vid Miners River i den västra delen av Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore i Alger County, Michigan. Fallen faller ungefär 40 fot över en sandsten med ett 10 fot vapen.

Båtlansering: Town Lake är en privat sjö som är inofficiellt en vattensjö. Det är en lugn sjö. Du kan hyra en båt i Forest Glen General Store över sjön och starta därifrån. Best little get away in Michigan

We enjoyed the cabin, the boat, the kayaks, hiking, pictures rocks cruise, waterfalls and great food. We will be back again great area for an outdoor adventure vacation. We went Rock hounding on show of Lake Superior and enjoyed our time very much

Turtle cove

We had a fantastic stay. House was very clean. Had everything you need I think only one car went by in 4 days when we were there. No one next door so it was so peaceful. We used the Kayaks. The lake is little but so quiet. No speed boats. We will be back some day!!!! Thank You!!!!

Another great trip to Hiawatha

This is my second fall trip to the Turtle Cove property in Hiawatha National Forest. The house and property were excellent, clean, and ready when we get in the first evening. The location made for great adventures and the morning views of the fall colors were excellent as I sipped my coffee. I will look to stay at this property again on my next visit to the area.

Cute, cozy place to get away

My family of 5 stayed in this home for the week of the Fourth. We felt like we were in our own up north cabin. It was easy to find with the directions they provide, and the cabin was stocked with everything you could need.

Great stay

Beautiful view of the lake and surrounding. Quiet peaceful nights out back were great. Property very clean and a great neighbor that worked with us while letting our dogs out to play in the lake.

Enjoyable stay.

Enjoyed staying at this property. My family and I stayed and enjoyed spending time together. The sun set was spectacular, so beautiful and gold in color. Clean, Pet Friendly

Good location near Munising and several attractions. The property was clean and had plenty of bedding and towels. We used both the grill and fireplace, which was great! The only downsides were that the beds were very squeaky, so not good for light sleepers, and the beach isn’t really one you would swim in due to the algae and muck - still enjoyed sitting lakeside tho! We also had our dog, and it was great to find a place that was pet friendly.

Good location, house needs some investment

Property was clean, had a nice layout and good location. The furniture needs an upgrade, the couch and recliner, mattresses and outdoor chairs all need replacement. If you’re using this as a place to sleep and eat, probably fine but if you plan to spend any time here be prepared for no comfortable place to sit and hang out. We booked because we thought the price was lower but with the fees it wasn’t close to the $280 per night. It has great potential but some money needs to be invested in the place

Cute

Super cute and comfy cabin, my family really enjoyed staying here. They have a boat or kayaks for you to use, along with fishing poles and life vests. I have stayed in variety of cabins in northern Minnesota on Lake superior and None of them had half the amenities nor all the room this one had to offer at a much smaller price. We were all sad that it was only a small stop on a much longer journey. We definatly plan to stay again!

great hunting lodge, not so great family space

great location on a small nice lake with great house layout, however we were turned off and inconvenienced by unsuitable maintenance due to mold, mice, dirty carpeting and superficial efforts to hide problems. It should be noted that some of the problems were related to water rising during the season and that our property manager (Cara of Freshwater Rentals) was immediately responsive and understanding. She provided extra cleaning service and a discount leading me to recommend any of her properties in the future.

Humidity was nothing that could be controlled but a better way to provide relief would make the property much better. The snarky notes about dishes and towels makes for a tenuous experience. There were no positive writings on the walls like “life’s better at the lake” or relax, everything is DONT DO THIS or we will expect a big tip. The experience was so bad we left on Friday and went and found a place with AC. It was futile to inquire because it’s obvious the property is all about ease for the housekeepers/owners and not the quests. The property is beautiful and picturesque, secluded, quiet, homey, adequately equipped just no way to cool the house off when it’s 80 inside the cabin.

Nice place at great location for people who loves the outdoors.

We all loved our stay here! The weather was nice and we spent most of the time outside on the lake fishing and swimming or around the fire and BBQ. It's great location and having the kayaks and the row boat provided gives you an opportunity for extra activities. We saw 3 bald Eagles over the lake while paddling. Water in the lake is very warm and clear, I enjoyed going around the lake watching the fishes. Also the night sky around the fire was amazing, never saw so many stars! Although about the house, it needs some updates but it's not as bad as some people described it. The beds were very comfortable and shets and towels were fresh and clean. Kitchen is big and has everything you need for your stay. The bathrooms worked fine although it won't hurt if they replace the shower heads and the sliding door in small one needs repair. The furniture is a little outdated but comfortable. Carpet needs some deep cleaning or to be replaced. In some reviews people mentioned the spider webs but considering that you're in the forest and there are so many spiders and bugs around I think it's perfectly normal. Overall we had great time, and would recommend this place. It would be nice to have some fall and winter pictures (I bet it's gorgeous there).

Major Disappointment

We had a wonderful vacation. Unfortunately it was not the rental that made it. The exterior of the house is in need of a lot of attention - The facia and soffits were rotten, the windows needed to be scraped and painted - Some need replacing. We had to wipe the cobwebs and bugs off the front door before we could enter. Upon entry we were assaulted with a cloying air freshener that was masking something. We could not use the rowboat or kayaks - The oars for the rowboat were broken and there were no adult life preservers. We were relegated to fishing from the dock which required climbing over chunks of wood that rocked side to side to get on the dock.The carpet was torn and stained. There were only 5 forks in the kitchen. For a place that can sleep up to 8 that is ridiculous. This was our first and most likely our last rental from Freshwater Vacations. Freshwater Vacation Rentals Response Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our rustic, imperfect Turtle Cove property. I wish you would have called us during your stay and we would have shown you where the life preservers are located, replaced the oars for the rowboat plus brought additional silverware out to you. Please do not assume all Freshwater Vacation Rentals properties are created equal. We have a diverse set of property offerings.
