Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Frosty's Lakeview Chalet. Newly built home with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Bedroom 1 has queen bed with a sliding barn door, bedroom 2 also has a queen bed with sliding barn door. This home has a beautiful view overlooking Furnace Lake but does not have lake access. This home was recently built in 2023/2024 from a couple tiny homes that we combined and added on to. Since we are located in Christmas, it is decorated all year with snowmen :) We recently added an outdoor hot tub to our home. It is set on the back patio so you can relax and take in the beautiful views after a day of exploring!
You'll love the serenity and the privacy of this home, yet how close you are to area attractions such as Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Grand Island, waterfalls, hiking trails, beaches, etc. It has a beautiful view overlooking Furnace Lake. You are less than a mile from state snowmobile and ATV trails. We are dog friendly and allow up to 2 dogs with preapproval and $75 non-refundable pet fee.
You have full exclusive access to home and yard. Unfortunately, there is no lake access with the home, but it does have a great view of the lake.
We are available by text, through booking message center or phone if you should have any questions before or during your stay.
Home is a short distance to casino in Christmas, Foggy's Steakhouse, and a gas station. You are only about 5 miles from downtown Munising where there are Pictured Rocks Cruises, Glass Bottom Boat Tours, Sand Point Beach, waterfalls, etc. In Munising, there is a grocery store (Pat's Foods), Family Dollar, a couple hardware stores, and numerous restaurants.
There is room to bring a boat if you have one and there is a public access to Lake Superior within 5 miles from home. There is also room to bring snowmobile/ATV trailers and then you can ride from the home to hit the trails. The driveway does have a little hill with a turn and could be a challenge to turn around and get back down if your trailer is over 20' long. There is plenty of room to park trailers at the bottom of the hill if needed.
**Signed rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations. Primary guest will need to upload a picture of government issued ID and list names and ages of all other guests in their group.
**There are 2 exterior audio/video recording devices on the property. One faces the front door of the home with the driveway and the other faces the back door. They are motion activated and on 24/7/365.

I met my husband Kevin on a "girls" snowmobile trip in February of 2011. I was visiting from Byron in the lower peninsula, and he has lived in the Munising area for most of his life. We got to know each other and fell in love via technology (Facebook and phone calls/texting). We were married on Grand Island in July 2012. After living apart for the first 11 years of our relationship, I was finally able to move up here in March 2022. We love living near all of our properties and being able to work together to give our guests the personal attention and service they deserve. We love sharing this beautiful area with all who come to visit!
Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
We've owned the land this property is on since 2015 and we also had bought a couple tiny cabins that we were hoping to rent out, but discovered our township has a minimum square footage requirement that they would not meet, not even when combined. So we had to do some modifications to both cabins and added on to them to build Frosty's Lakeview Chalet. We love the view and the privacy this home has, and hope our guests will enjoy it as well.
