I am giving the overall rating a 3 because of the check in process and lack of response from the property manager. The check in process was terrible! I had exchanged messages with the property manager prior to booking asking for an early check in (I would not have booked if they said no) and they said yes it’s likely as long as no one is checking out the day we check in and at that time no one was. I then receive a text 2 days before leaving with check in information saying I would receive a code the day of check in. The day of check in, the property manager text asking me to confirm I received the previous text and I told them what our time of arrival would be. I heard nothing back so assumed we were good to check in. I arrived to the resort and still had no text with a code to check in. I sent multiple messages on text and VRBO to the property manager with no response for almost 4 hours. I found a “check in code” in one of the emails I received so decided to try that. It worked and I got in the room, but it was dirty from previous renters. I still had not heard back from the property manager and the front desk could not assist as any VRBO rentals are out of their control. I finally hear back from the property manager after telling them what happened and they said they would have it cleaned, but the maids are busy. I will not be renting again as the communication was so poor on the day of check in and created unnecessary stress and confusion.

Taylor - I'm sorry you feel you had this give us 3 stars because your request for early check-in did not work out. As soon as you requested it, we replied saying that it may be possible as long as no one else is checking out that same day and at the time of booking, there wasn't. When we did get a booking with same day checkout, the early check-in was no longer possible as you were told on the day you booked. However, you still tried to check in at 12:30 PM (Regular check-in is 4 PM), after you knew you didn't have approval for early check in and complained that room was dirty/not cleaned...I'm not sure how to address this except to re-iterate that early check-in on that day was not possible. If it was, it would be no problem and we would have even waived the early check-in fee for you!

Great place!! Will definitely go back, host was amazing to work with. The resort was really nice and secure. Room was located right by the stairs and elevator making it easy to get to the beach and pools
