Detta charmiga 1910 hus ligger på huvudgatan i Gamla Stan Lafayette. Det är tvärs över gatan från restauranger, en kafé och några kvarter från ett rec center och Festival Plaza. Den vackert anlagda bakgården är perfekt för små evenemang. Vi har rullstolsanpassat, fullt ADA-kompatibelt badrum, dusch och huvudrum sovplats.

En gång i veckan finns det en bondmarknad några kvarter nerför gatan på parkeringsplatsen Lafayette Florist. Njut av parken och promenerar runt Waneka Lake, där paddla båtar finns att hyra mellan Memorial och Labor Day. Barnen kan njuta av att springa genom vatten fontänen ett par kvarter ner på Festival Plaza och ha lite glass på Ät och godis. WOW! Barnmuseet ligger bara några kvarter från vår egendom. Senare på dagen kan du dra nytta av flera lokala bryggerier bara en kort promenad bort.

Pearl Street Mall i Boulder ligger bara 10 miles bort tillsammans med vandringsleder i den vackra parken Chautauqua. Många skidområden som Eldora, Winter Park, Breckenridge och Vail är bara en till två timmars bilfärd bort.

Min man Pete och jag har bott i Lafayette i många år. Vi älskar Boulder County och människor i denna gemenskap. Min dröm var att ge en mysig ställe för gäster och särskilt familjerna av lokalbefolkningen att stanna medan de besöker. Vi ville ge ett vackert utomhus överkomligt utrymme för att människor ska ha en liten samling eller fest. Vi har samarbetat med några fantastiska cateringfirma som vi skulle gärna rekommendera om du har en speciell händelse i åtanke. (Kontakta oss för catering och evenemangspriser)

Vi lever bara några minuter bort och är alltid tillgängliga för att svara på eventuella frågor du kan ha om området eller för att hjälpa till med allt du behöver.

Susan was responsive and a great host. She made the check-in/out process easy and even accommodated an early check-in. I would definitely stay again. The property is on the main old town area of Lafayette and there were plenty of activities to do within walking distance. The property’s location made a nice break after a long days drive.

The House was the perfect haven for us as we attended a family gathering and wedding in Denver. It was clean, cozy and inviting and had one of the best kitchens I have seen in a vacation rental. All kinds of cooking utensils, spices and condiments. Our host was very helpful and prompt with answers to my questions. The location is right in the middle of "Old Town" Lafayette, with ready access to coffee, restaurants, and shopping. There's a wonderful farmer's market on Sunday morning. Although there's a lot of activity and traffic during the day, it quiets down completely at night. We enjoyed our coffee sitting on the front porch and in the beautiful back yard. Thank you for this restful home during our busy wedding week!

Highly recommend.

This is a gorgeous historical property that's been lovingly stored. Easy walking distance to multiple restaurants and shops. The host was very easy to work with and the property was clean. Highly recommend as a stay in Colorado.

Charming! Great Location!

We loved staying at this charming home. It was a perfect home base, as we spent time in Denver and the Boulder areas. The home had everything we needed and was clean! We especially enjoyed walking across the street for breakfast and down the road for dinners. Highly recommend!

Great house

Was a really nice house - looks just like the photos. There's also a great little gravel sitting area outside as well. Right in the middle of downtown - was walking distance to the shops/restaurants. Owner was welcoming and very helpful. Really enjoyed our time there.

Hidden Treasure

I don't even know if I want to share my review. I may have competition trying to reserve next year. This house is a complete hidden treasure. This house is absolutely gorgeous, very quaint and comfortable. My family of 8 stayed for a week. We had plenty of room. The common areas are very roomy, the bedrooms are on the smaller end with double beds. We found it perfect to lay our heads at night since there was so much to do in walking distance. Very comfortable beds and full stocked home. Not the check the block stocked....but great non-stick pans and sharp knives which is always one of my complaints. As a family that travels at least once a month, this may be the best stay in 10 years. We will definitely book again.

Charming and peaceful

What a wonderful and charming home. Upon arrival we were greeted with a charming home in a very charming walking neighborhood. We we’re grateful for the bowl of fresh fruit and chocolate that greeted us after our travel. The town of Lafayette was the real draw. Walks to morning coffee at the cafe, incredible restaurants, cute boutiques and shops. The town is quiet and charming. The house was clean and comfortable. The only thing was the beds are all small. My husband and I had to split up because it was hard to sleep in a double bed after years of sleeping in a king size bed. But I’d stay there again because of the town and the owners were extremely kind and accommodating. They let us check in early and that was the best! I’d 100% recommend staying here!!

Wonderful stay in Lafayette

Home was well furnished and sited in downtown area with art fest nearby on the first night that owner notified us of that we had a good time at. Plenty of restaurants available nearby.

Walkable and Adorable location in gorgeous home

I am so grateful for our five days in Lafayette. My husband and our teenager were on cloud nine for our entire stay. These accommodations are generous, beautiful, super clean, well-organized and above all else, incredibly thoughtful. From the gorgeous outdoor seating, gobsmackingly adorable old town location, and the beautiful and very comfortable bedrooms to all the little touches like face wipes, a GUITAR, lots of snuggle blankets, ice packs. This host took my expectations and sent them to the moon.

Great Experience

We had a great time in the house. It was comfortable with attention to all the little details that made for a great experience. We could easily walk to local shops and short drives to hiking (Chautauqua Park), breweries, and downtown Boulder. Would definitely use this house again.

Beautiful home in a fantastic neighborhood

My friend and I stayed for a week, and truly enjoyed how beautiful the home was. It felt like a sanctuary. We appreciated how the hosts attended to small details, kept the sidewalks cleared of snow, and offered suggestions for what to see and do. The neighborhood was wonderful, with a wide variety of restaurants and spectacular open space areas within a very short walking distance. Thank you!

A great place for staying north of Denver!!!

What a great find! A lovely house located right on the main street of Lafayette with a sweet neighborhood for walks and exploring all around. Great restaurants up and down the street. The hosts were communicative and very sweet. We enjoyed a three night stay over Thanksgiving and enjoyed every moment. If you are thinking about visiting the area, don't hesitate on this rental. Book it!

We loved our stay at the house inn. It was gorgeous inside and very comfortable for our family of five. Everything we needed was provided and the location was perfect, with easy access to local restaurants and shops. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend.

My husband Pete and I have lived in Lafayette for many years. My husband grew up on the East Coast and I am originally from North Dakota. We met and married in Colorado in 1993. We love the Boulder county area and the people in this community. Our family enjoys hiking, biking, snow skiing, riding horses and most any outdoor activity. My dream was to provide a cozy lodging place for guests and especially the families of locals to stay while visiting. We wanted to provide a beautiful outdoor affordable space for people to have a small gathering or party. We live just minutes away, and are always available to answer any questions you might have about the area or to help with anything you might need.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We purchased this property in 1996, about the time our first child was born, and opened a gift shop. Old Town Lafayette was starting a wonderful transition as the state highway was routed away from downtown. We wanted to be a part of this change as Public Road became walkable, new restaurants and brewpubs opened, and the properties nearby evolved.

Shortly after our second child was born, we decided to close the gift shop and began renting the property. It has been used as a vintage clothing store, a salon and most recently, an acupuncture office. It's taken some time for the town to come into its own, but it's almost to what we envisioned 20 years ago.

Now, traffic moves more slowly; the sidewalks are used later into the evenings; there are great places to dine, snack or just sit and watch kids play. We took over use of the property again in 2017 to create a nice place for visitors to stay and enjoy the town we've come to love.

We have a wheelchair accessible, fully ADA compliant bathroom, shower and sleeping area.

Our property is in the heart of Old Town Lafayette. It is located right on Main Street where you can sit on the front porch to people watch and listen to local musicians perform at the restaurant or coffee shop across the street. There is also a private sitting area on the back side of the house. The large,beautifully landscaped back yard is perfect for small events.

The House Inn Old Town serves as both a residential rental, and as a small event venue.

Residential Rental:
When booking through Home Away, the published rates apply to lodging and personal use of the property. Up to 8 guests may stay and use the house, outdoor sitting areas and landscaped yard.

Event Venue:
Use of the property for events requires a separate contract and additional rates apply. Event reservations include use of the “serving shed”; and use of the landscaped yard to entertain guests not staying at The House Inn.
