We had a nice stay here. Good location in a quiet neighborhood. There was a driveway for parking, a well-equipped kitchen, and the air conditioning kept the house comfortable.

Great location, easy walk to downtown Valpo. Can even walk to campus (which we did) if you’re a little more ambitious. Nice living area downstairs with a huge TV with all the streaming services. Nice little eating area in the kitchen with window seats. Upstairs there is a large bedroom and a smaller bedroom with a single bath with a large shower. Updated and nicely decorated. Especially liked the record albums and record player in the living area.

This cottage is very aesthetically pleasing. It was very clean, and well maintained. The owner was prompt in responding to text messages as well as phone calls. No complaints other than it took the home a while to get warm. I would definitely stay here again!Heidi

Charming property near downtown Valpo!

My partner and I stayed here the weekend of our wedding and couldn’t have chosen a more perfect property. The home is decorated aesthetically, and is a perfect size for a couple or small family. Everything was very clean, modern, and comfortable. Highly recommend this property!!

Hi Patty! Thank you so much for your review :) We did have an unexpected heat wave recently, and since the cottage is older, the upstairs can get a bit warm. Guests have full control over the main floor AC, so I hope you were able to adjust the temp to your liking! After your stay, I closed a few vents on the main level to help push more cool air upstairs and added some box fans to the upstairs closets. I promise—Valpo isn’t usually this hot! 🥵

This was the perfect place for our family of three to stay for the weekend. There's a park within walking distance, it's really close to downtown, and only a short drive from everything else in Valpo. It was very clean, the beds were *so* comfy (can't be said for all rental places) and the smaller bedroom has black-out curtains (the king-size bedroom does not) so the kiddo slept to a reasonable time both nights we stayed! There are a few board games in the living room, and we were thankful for the PBS Retro channel on the Roku to keep the kid busy while we loaded up! Just a couple of heads up, the shower door had a habit of slowly opening on its own, but we wedged a washcloth between the doors and that took care of it. Also, there weren't a whole lot of plates and cutlery, just a set of four (big plates, small plates, bowls), so plan to wash dishes or run the dishwasher after each meal you eat there! Each house has its quirks, and I've stayed in plenty of rentals - this one is seriously a great one! Hayley is responsive and helpful (it got cold one night we were there and needed a code to switch from AC to heat and she was super fast to respond). Overall, highly recommend!
