Relax and Recharge in a 1940's Creekside Cabin
Welcome to our vintage creek side mountain cottage! The most well loved cottage in Waynesville. The cabin sits on 2 acres with over 600' of creek and a vintage barn. We are located two miles from downtown Waynesville, NC, in a charming hollow in the Smoky Mountains.
Cross the creek, park the car and head for the porch to relax or to plan your day trips. The area offers multiple golf courses for the novice or pro, countless hiking trails at your feet, skiing in Cataloochee, shopping and dining. We are centrally located to give you access to North Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Asheville! The Blue Ridge Parkway awaits you or you can opt to visit one of three close national parks (Great Smokey Mountain, Pisgah, or Cherokee), Biltmore, Americaâs Castle, is a must see or visit The Grove Arcade. Haywood County is full of locally owned farmer's markets with locally grown seasonal foods and crafts.
The two bedrooms â one king and one queen - are fully fitted with fresh linens and an assortment of comfy pillows and blankets.
The bathroom has a full-size bathtub and shower. Towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash available for your stay.
We offer WiFi for those who choose to chill or those who squeeze in a little work while away.
Our cabin is pet friendly allowing one pet up to 50lbs. We ask that your pet be left in a crate when you are not in the cabin. A crate is available for use during your stay. Please be courteous and clean up pet waste on the property.

For over 40 years, we have visited the western Smoky Mountains, captivated by its beauty and charm. In November 2024, our dream finally came true. We became the third owners of this beloved cabin, which has been a treasured retreat since 1961. The cabin, built in 1945, holds a special place in our hearts, and weâre proud to continue its legacy.
What makes this journey even more incredible is the bond we now share with the previous owners, Tom and Cathy. Through this experience, we not only acquired an amazing property, but we also gained two wonderful friends and neighbors. Itâs a rare and beautiful thing to purchase a property on a handshake and form lasting connections in the process.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Tom and Cathy for entrusting us with this little slice of heaven in the mountains. We promise to care for and maintain the cabin with the same love, dedication, and passion they, as well as William and Nancy before them, have shown for over 65 years.
Weâre excited to welcome you into this special place, and we hope you experience the same warmth and magic that we feel every time we visit.

This cottage is situated on over 2 beautiful acres yet close to downtown Waynesville and has a very rural feel. The just enough wood decor, the relaxing porch and well defined creek are just a few of the highlights. Every time we visit we realize how fortunate and blessed we are.

The cottage is uniquely situated in a tranquil rural setting but within immediate reach of all Waynesville city amenities. Asheville is approximately 30 minutes away, Blue Ridge Parkway 30 minutes away and several other attractions and destinations equally close.
