Right on the water, high tides brings water right under the deck making it one the closest to the water and unique houses on the canal. 99.9 % 5-star reviews on other sires (we did get one 4.5 because the gas fireplace broke while they were there). With 3 bedrooms (all with king beds, one with additional 2 twin beds), there is plenty of room for 3 couples and a few kids. Excellent WiFi and a separate office to work out of if needed. The 2 bathrooms feature a shower, bathtub, and a hair dryer. Gas fireplace, guitar and vintage Sansui stereo system with a record player (blow your kids away!) in the open concept living room. Large rear bedroom has a king , twin beds , puzzles, games and new big screen for a family/kids room. A different experience for each season. Harlequin and other rare ducks in the winter. Seals year round and occasional Orcas in spring and summer. A very short walk into town gets you to a nice grocery/ hardware/ gas station/ outfitters store, bar, liquor store/ gift shop, restaurants, craft beer brewery, liquor distillery, winery, public dock and curio shops. Pull in, park your car and leave your worries behind! If you decide to venture out, itâs a short drive to two casinoâs, Lake Cushman and the famous Hamma Hamma Oyster Company for fresh and prepared seafood. A few other nearby attractions are, the Olympic National Park and Port Townsand. Kayaks, paddle boards and all types of âfloatiesâ are welcome. During the hot summer days, a/c cools the house while the sun heats the large tide land in front of the house. When the tide comes back in water temperatures have reached up to 80 degrees, which makes it very nice for swimming (suggest bringing beach shoes to protect your feet from getting cut by oysters). Sorry no oyster, clam or other shellfish gathering due to tribal regulations and possible red tides that occasionally make it into the canal. Please roam the beach in front of the house and gather a few precious mementos, but leave them outside the house. If brought into the house and forgotten, we will find them by their smell and will gladly send them to you with a bill for fumigating! So, please leave them outside.
