Summary:
You cannot beat the sweeping views from the patio on this rental on Amy Dodge Lane off of Spring Street. Now rented by Herdman Hospitality, this 2-bedroom (2 queens), 1 full bathroom, and living space is well equipped with modern amenities like a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, Roku TV, Wi-Fi, and an outdoor shower. All linens, towels, and beach basics are supplied. About a 5 min drive from the ferry, and less than a mile walk to downtown. Accommodates up to 4.
The Space:
The rental unit is a walk out lower level with a private space, private exterior entrance, and private patio. This is an owner occupied house. The owner lives in the upstairs area with a dog, who may be encountered outside. There are no shared spaces with the owner within the rental unit. The outdoor shower and driveway is shared.
There are quiet hours in effect starting at 10pm until 7am in the neighborhood.
Guest Access:
There is a designated parking spot and a private entrance off of the driveway that will have an access code.
The Neighborhood:
This unit is in a house in a residential area on Amy Dodge Lane off of Spring Street. It is less than a mile to the Old Harbor area and about a mile to the Southeast Lighthouse.
Getting Around:
A car is advised for long stays. The rental is about a 5 min drive from the downtown area, or a mile walk. Taxis and bicycles are also easy modes of transportation in the summer season. Mopeds are not allowed on the road leading to the rental.
Other Things to Note:
All linens, bath towels, and toiletry basics are provided. There are beach chairs and towels available for the number of people that the unit accommodates.
Interaction with Guests:
Check in is a remote process, but the host is always close by and available if needed. The homeowner lives above the rental, but is mindful of guests privacy. Access would only be necessary in the case of an emergency with the boiler, which is highly unlikely. The homeowner also has a very sweet black lab, Hail, that may be encountered outside as he has an electric fence. This is the reason the rental is not pet friendly.
