Nestled between a lush green lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, located between Cabarete and Sosua in the North coast of the Dominican Republic. Kibayo is a place where you can sink into presence and heal while having fun. We invite you to connect, explore and enjoy with us, all at your own pace.
SOUL SEARCHER ROOM
Private top floor double room with terrace, garden and lagoon view
Take in the view of the lush green lagoon from your big private terrace. Nourish your soul and find yourself reevaluate life while stargazing at night.
Characteristics of the room:
Queen large bed, airconditioning, private bathroom with rain shower, towels, fan, smoke detector, Free WIFI, everyday cleaning, private terrace with garden view, private terrace with pool views
A delicious breakfast is included during your stay.
The use of paddle boards and a kayak is included during your stay.
You will have access to: the big beautiful garden next to the lagoon, veggie & fruit garden and swimming pool area.
At Kibayo we are happy to inform you about the beautiful spots, nice restaurants and fun activities that the Cabarete area has to offer.
Cabarete can be reached by (rental)car, taxi and/or bus. Buses run from Santo Domingo, Las Terrenas, Santiago and Puerto Plata. We have parking lots on our property. It is important to book in advance due to limited space.
Kibayo is situated next to a lake called Laguna Cabarete. Kite beach is within walking distance (500m), Encuentro Surf beach is within a 12 min drive, Playa Cabarete and Cabarete town are within a 7 min drive. A couple of restaurants, colmado's and bars are within walking distance.
Kibayo is a green oasis situated next to a lake called Laguna Cabarete. Kite beach is within walking distance (500m), Encuentro Surf beach is within a 12 min drive, Playa Cabarete and Cabarete town are within a 7 min drive and a supermarket is within a 3 min drive with scooter of car. Restaurants, Colmado's and bar are within walking distance.
Cabarete can be reached by (rental) car, Taxi and bus via Santo Domingo, Las Terrenas, Santiago and Puerto Plata. We offer free parking spaces on our property. We have limited space so it is important to book in advance.
It is not possible for guests to prepare a meal. We have an outside shared fridge for our guests to use. Our kitchen is for staff and events only. Breakfast is included. We offer lunch until 3pm. We offer dinner 3 times a week. It is possible to order food and let it deliver to Kibayo.

Weâre a happily married couple from the Netherlands who moved to Cabarete in 2021 to build our dream life â and truly live it. Our love for travel continues through hosting, as it allows us to stay in one place while meeting inspiring people from all over the world.

What I love most is how weâre perfectly tucked between lush greenery, the lagoon, and the ocean â surrounded by local life. Itâs vibrant in every way, yet deeply calming at the same time.

Weâre located on the edge of a local neighborhood called La CiĂ©naga, giving you the chance to experience the authentic side of the Dominican Republic. Just minutes from Kite Beach, itâs an ideal spot for water sports lovers. Weâre also right next to El Choco National Park, with direct access from our garden â surrounded by lush nature and peaceful greenery.
Close to town, yet tucked away, Kibayo offers the perfect mix of local culture, adventure, and tranquility.
