Summerwind är ett underbart och lugnt hem inbäddat vid kabelsjön i Sister Lakes Michigan. Cable Lake är inramat vackert av denna inbjudande uppdaterade ranch. Denna lugna, rena sjö är perfekt för stå upp paddelpension, kajakpaddling, paddling, segling, vindsurfing, paddling och simning. Fiske är enastående. Det finns 6 andra sjöar inom några minuter som ger olika miljöer. De flesta är motorsjöar och båtuthyrning finns tillgängliga genom lokala leverantörer.

Labor Day at Sister Lakes

We had a blast. Lovely lake house. Kids really appreciated the communal toys in the Pirate’s chest in the basement. Would love to stay there again.

Great lake house family vacation

We really enjoyed our week at the Summerwind cottage. There was plenty of space for our large family of 7 adults and 3 children. The lower level was great for the older kids who also enjoyed swimming and fishing on the property. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and beachfront fire pit. Frank was very responsive when there was a problem with the internet and had a repair technician out first thing Monday morning. We'd definitely stay here again.

Quiet setting, great swim area for kids

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We didn’t realize when booking that Cable Lake is a no motor lake, but it was great, so peaceful. Made full use of kayaks on property. Big deck, open main floor, plenty of beds and baths for our group of 9. Biggest complaint would be not enough plates and silverware. Best to bring paper/plastic.

Quiet Lake

Excellent property on a quiet no-sports lake. Interior looks recently renovated and was very clean. Outside space is large with lots of seating for everyone. Lake access was easy and has a nice sandy bottom to wade out for a swim or to launch the kayaks. Surrounding area has good amount of restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc.....about 1 hour from Holland, Saugatauk, 30 min to St.Joseph and 10 min from Dowagiac. Would highly recommend if you don't need a power boat to make your vacation.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We love Cable lake but this was our first time at Summerwind. Such a great house with room for the extended family. The private beach and kayaks were amazing we enjoyed the 10 min kayak ride to main beach on occasion . DVD collection was great and we enjoyed some classics in the one rainy day we had. Loved our stay!

Great, spacious place!

Plenty of room, great deck and waterfront space. Kitchen is perfect for large meals. 3 bathrooms is great! Check-in and checkout were easy. Hope to make it back again!

Girls Weekend

This place was awesome for a get together. 7 of us girls got together for a weekend to hang out. The lake was beautiful and the deck was our favorite place to sit. Frank was so easy to work with and very responsive. Highly recommended for all ages.

Perfect location

This home was amazing!! It was the perfect size for my family. The beds were very comfortable and the lake was awesome. If you enjoy fishing this is the place to come. It was very relaxing. The only negative comment I have is the decks had not been cleaned and the grates on the grills were not cleaned. I believe we were the first ones to stay for 2023. Overall, we had a great time. Will be booking again!!

Quiet Lake

We loved Summer Wind on Cable Lake! The lake is no-motor so we had peace and quiet. Would have been better if there were more yard on the beach side for outdoor games. But we managed.

Perfect vibe for all ages

Our group spanned grampa's to 4 year olds. Kayak races, belly flops, awesome fishing from the rowboat, chasing minnows in the shallows, chasing fireflies, catching sunrises. Quiet time or hilarity~ the location and house was perfect~ large space, a huge collection of DVDs, board games, books, game room, 2 grills, extra fridge. Thanks Frank for a great stay!

I was born and raised in Michigan. I moved to Illinois for film school, met my wife and stayed put, got married and started a family. I own a video production business in Illinois. We stay at Summerwind as much as we can and rent it out when we're not there.

The house offers some great privacy while still being super close to tons of activities. Cable lake is gorgeous and peaceful while the neighboring lakes have sport activities and boating. It's really the best of both worlds.
