Detta bekväma hus ligger på stranden gemenskap Van Buren Bay, en gemenskap av ca 75 hus och stugor inbäddat längs stranden av viken. Tillgång till stranden är under offentlig väg mellan de två husen tvärs över gatan. Förutom stranden, har samhället en tennisbana och två lekplatser. De platta vägar är bra för cykling.
Den första våningen består av ett stort vardagsrum, ett fullt utrustat kök, ett sovrum och ett badrum, tillsammans med ett garage som används som förråd. Det finns en andra bad och tre sovrum på andra våningen. Det finns sängar för 13 (se detaljer) och två barnsängar som kan placeras i övre hallen eller i garaget.
Städerna Dunkerque och Fredonia är ungefär fem miles away med restauranger, shopping och aktiviteter. Erie PA är en timme väster och Buffalo är en timme öster. Chautauqua institutet och Jamestown NY ligger inom en timme. Niagara Fall är ca 1 1/2 timmar.
Sommarsäsong (juli och augusti) hyror är minst en vecka och är från lördag till lördag. Resten av året är den kortaste vistelsen är tre dagar. Förutom att vara en bra plats för en familjesemester, är detta en bra plats för winery touring, antika shopping, skidåkning och sightseeing, särskilt Buffalo och Niagara.

NY trip

Very nice place for the family to enjoy a week along Lake Erie. Van Buren Point had daily activities for the little ones to keep them busy and make some new friends. We really enjoyed the lake time. Thanks

Cottage on the lake

This property is fine if you are looking to merely sleep while visiting the area. The lack of ac makes it pretty stuffy if its raining and you cant open the windows. The house is very well stocked! One of the best in the vrbo properties we have used. The decor is very odd and outdated so it isnt super uplifting. 2 of the chairs at the dinner table are horrible so we had to use folding chairs, not super comfortable. The beds should be updated and people should note that all the upstairs rooms are very low ceilings and one of the bunk beds is very risky as the head is by a slanted corner of the ceiling. The outside sitting area is not really a picnic area for 12 unless ypu hold your plate in your lap on plastic chairs and the cement is all broken and a bad tripping hazard. Also, there are only 2 bathrooms. Not 2 1/2 as listed. The biggest concern us was the door lock issue. The only way to lock the house is with a key. So once you lock the doors at night. If the house catches fire, noone can get out unless you find the key. But with all that said , it was in a cute location, very convenient, nice neighbors and very affordable. Great communication with the host. We would rent again so we know what to expect. But i would install a mini-split ac unit and buy a keyless lock for the doors like most vrbo have. Cheap improvements.

Great getaway near Lake Erie

This was the perfect place to stay near the lake. Located between many beaches to choose from, even though the weather was still cool, we still got to enjoy them for a couple days. The house was clean, comfortable and had plenty of room for everyone to gather together or retreat to our own personal space. Would definitely stay here again! :-)

Gray Family 2023 Vacation

The owner was most responsive to a plumbing issue we had. One call and the plumber was on site the same day. Property was very clean. All needed supplies were available and plentiful. All appliances were in great working order. The grill was clean and ready for cooking. We had family of diverse ages and all enjoyed the home. Walking across the street to the lake was a treat! Location provided easy access to many attractions. Great hosts, lovely home, wonderful location!

Lake Erie lake home-much needed R & R

Cozy home in a beautiful area. Quiet neighborhood with great neighbors. Everything was there except the food which made traveling easy for everyone. We will be back!

Great for a family vacation

We rented this house as a supplemental house to another property we rented. House is dated but clean and well equipped. Updated kitchen ware for cooking. Kids / teens were happy to have the bicycles and boogie boards.

Van Buren Bay Cottage

The cottage was clean, comfy, and as described. For our extended family reunion (at four nearby cottages) It worked perfectly. Well equipped kitchen and home, with games, bikes, wifi.

Nice but..

Very nice lake house...but only for the view. The owners have done a very nice job keeping the house in great shape! We were under impression after reading the description on VRBO that we would have a beach to sit iyn and hang out at during our stay. Upon arriving and being able to check in early which is a plus we ventured out to find the beach. We walked up and down the road looking for any sign of beach access. We finally found a lady (neighbor) outside across the street watering flowers. We asked her about the beach and how to gain access. She informed us that the beach has been gone for almost 3 years due to rising water levels and that the actual access was washed out last December during a winter storm. She told us the closest beach access that wasn't under construction was within driving distance not walking. Upon talking to the owner she claimed she was not aware of the current beach and access situation. I asked the owner to update the information on VRBO so people can make an informed choice in staying at an un air conditioned lake house with no beach or beach access. The owner offered us a small refund for the inconvenience which we accepted, however, I would not pay anywhere near what we were charged to stay there again.

Hidden Gem

The home was extremely welcoming for our 2 year old, dogs, and family. The host has plenty of entertainment for children of all ages. Perfect getaway location for a large family, with all the local shops right down the road. Definitely a hidden gem!
