Toddy Haven, en lugn tillflyktsort på Toddy Pond, nära Bar Harbor / Acadia.

En charmig stuga som ligger bland vintergröna träd bara 100 meter från stranden. Njut av att laga färsk Maine hummer och blåbärspai i ett komplett kök, eller grilla utomhus på en gasgrill medan du upplever solnedgången över dammen. Stugan matplats med katedral tak och upplyst fläkt är en bekväm plats att äta medan andra samlas för att spela spel på matsalen bredvid alkov. Vardagsrummet är det perfekta stället att sitta och koppla av efter en dag med äventyr i Acadia eller kajakpaddling strax på dammen, medan du tittar på ditt favoritprogram på en 55 "4K Chromecast flatscreen med Sling TV. Lyssna på loon samtal från kajen eller från den skärmade veranda ger en känsla av lugn när som helst på dygnet. För kalla kvällar kommer en propanuppvärmningsenhet mysig hela stugan uppe. Vila bekvämt på en ny king size-säng i sjön sovrummet. Det finns en dubbel / tvåbädds våningssäng i det andra sovrummet och en tvilling våningssäng i det friliggande bunkhouse. Det finns också ett badrum med dusch.

Stugan har renoverats och är extremt ren. En ny färskvattenbrunn installerades 2016 för din bekvämlighet, så beroende av sjövatten är onödigt. Ett nytt septiskt system installerades också 2017 och de flesta inredningen är helt nya.

Gästerna för våra två stugor har egen tillgång till sjön samt kajaker.

Toddy Haven är det perfekta hemmet medan du upptäcker kustens Maine underverk.

Lovely setting

We stayed at Cozy Haven for a week while visiting family. We had a few side trips to Acadia and Ellsburg. Enjoyed the screen porch every morning with coffee and dinner at night. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen.

Really nice cabin on a quiet, beautiful Maine lake.

Lovely and accommodating owners - fully equipped kitchen, games, books, kayaks, fire pit, comfy beds, dock - everything one could need to take full advantage of all Maine has to offer. We hope to visit again!

Very clean! All of our needs were met at this cozy cabin.

Kayaks were so much fun. We passed the time kayaking, laying in the hammock and swimming. The sunsets are amazing! We hope to return again.

Peaceful

The property was rustic, cozy, charming and very clean. The owners provided every modern comfort and convenience and even some extra touches that impressed us all. The pond was warm/clean and the close location to Acadia National Park was perfect.

I wish we had a longer vacation to enjoy this lovely getaway spot on Toddy Pond. The swimming was great, the loons were friendly and so were the fish. The cabin in a quintessential lake home but with many upgrades and very well equipped. The kids are ready to go back ASAP.

Wonderful cottage on a beautiful Maine lake

Our second year at this location. It's a great spot on a beautiful crystal clear lake in Maine. Cottage is exactly as described by listing, very quiet and peaceful. Easy day trip to Acadia for day hikes and great walks along the rocky shores of Bar Harbor. Owner's are friendly and responsive to any questions or requests.

Perfect week at Toddy

It was a great week at Toddy Pond! Toddy Haven has everything we needed and more. Super clean and plenty of room. Such a great location, close to everything, but quiet and relaxing too. The cottage was nice. Very thankful we didn’t meet another vehicle on the road to get there. It was very narrow. Once there, everything in the cottage was great. I didn’t realize how close the neighbors would be, but it worked out fine. Loved that it was easy to get to Acadia for a day trip.

Great vacation!!

What an incredible trip! The house was perfect. Attention to detail was second to none. We had a great time fishing, kayaking and swimming in the lake. Having the kayaks available to use along with fishing gear was awesome. Mark and Laurie were the perfect hosts. Linens and towels were provided and the kitchen was well stocked with the essentials needed to cook. Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Highly recommend this great getaway.

Everything a "5 Star" per our 5 yr old

We loved our stay at Toddy Haven! Everything from the power outage (caused by a big storm) to the little personal touches made this experience an extremely memorable one for us. Mark came out to check on us and while we were chatting, the lights came on! (My 5yr old thought he performed magic). Both our girls loved the bunkhouse and my husband got to build a fire two nights in a row, which he thoroughly enjoyed! We would recommend this house and property for anyone looking for a place of solace, beauty, and inspiration, especially in the fall! Thank you, Fowler's!

Tiny getaway on Toddy

The house overall is very clean and well kept with modern finishes and simple decor. Getting to and from town is relatively easy by car compared to other locations on Toddy. Access to the lake is relatively easy and not overly steep with a nice dock and swimming platform! However, parking is very tight on a steep hill and the location is difficult to navigate if any party members have mobility difficulties. We had expected a little more space from the photographs but what you see is what you get. Window units did well to cool off the upstairs rooms, but guests downstairs were a little warm on a few days. Be sure to read the contract well prior to booking as the hosts do have a few additional requirements compared to other rentals we have stayed in. Overall I do recommend this host and location and we did greatly enjoy our stay.

Wonderful family Get Away that provided long lasting memories

Our family (4 adults and 2 children) spent several days at Toddy Haven and had a wonderful time! Although it rained for the first day or so, it did not stop us from catching lots of fish off the dock, enjoying the snacks Laurie and Mark left for us and reading in the warm and cozy living room. Toddy Haven was clean and well stocked with dishes, towels and soft bedding. The Bunk House was a favorite for our son and grandson with a heater and comfortable bunkbeds. The property is only a few steps from crystal clear Toddy Pond and can we were able to sit on the dock and see the children while we sat on the enclosed porch. Fishing gear and life jackets were ready for us to use and the four kayaks made fishing easy and the sunset off both the dock and from the kayaks were fantastic! We would love to return again to this almost magical place and make even more memories. Thank you Mark and Laurie for sharing Toddy Haven with us!

First vacation with the grand babies.

This property was a wonderful fit for two small children ages 3 and 1. There were four adults and two children on our trip. For a small cottage it fit 6 people very comfortably. We had everything we needed to make this an amazing first vacation for our grandchildren. We hope to visit again.

Beautiful Maine coast rental

The property was extra clean with nice amenities & thoughtful attention to comfort. It was cozy. Master bed was comfy & linens were nice. Mark was most accommodating! We highly recommend for a couple who likes a bit of space & privacy. Views of Toddy pond with kayaks & fire pits are a nice extra. BTW: Toddy Pond is a large lake!

Perfect spot to get away from it all!

Where to start….this spot is a gem! Great location for sight seeing and even better location to relax and enjoy the serene setting of the lake (pond). House is beautiful, immaculately clean with great touches like a screened in porch. The floating dock was a big hit. Thank you Fowler’s for being wonderful hosts and sharing your lovely spot with us. Mark is an entrepreneur, a retired pastor, former professor, husband, and proud father. After living overseas for 14 years in Ecuador, we returned to our home state of Maine. Mark likes to sail, fish, build, paint and plays pool. Laurie is a musician, writer, wife and devoted mother. She likes to read, hike, garden and cook. We enjoy going out to new restaurants, sight-seeing, traveling, going to movies and concerts together. Our favorite destinations to date have been Mexico and Italy, and we look forward to visiting the British Isles one day. We have been married for 45 years and have 4 children who have all flown the coop but come around every so often with our seven grandchildren; all to our great delight!

Though situated just 7/10s of a mile off Route 1, it is such a peaceful and secluded spot here. The lake is deep and clean and the fishing is great. Nearly every evening and morning, loons can be heard gently calling across the water.
