Florida visit with friends

This property was perfect for us. We needed 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and this house provided that. We were also within 15-20 minutes of our friend who lives in Lake City. It was such a nice visit.

Great Christmas stay

The hosts were very thoughtful, we spent Christmas here and the little touches made our stay so much better. The Christmas tree was lit with holiday music playing when we came in and the mood was set. Highly recommend 😊

Meadow House

We loved everything about this place! Far enough away from everything but not to far from things to see and do. Property owners were very helpful! We even added an additional night to our stay after our booking was already confirmed and it was a seamless process. Should we visit the area again, we will definitely stay again!

Perfect for the Springs!

I loved this house. Booking was super easy. The house was clean in a very nice neighborhood. The kitchen had all I needed. The beds were super comfy. The only things worth mentioning were the toilets take time to do their job. When you’re in the country you have to be gentle. It’s been that way with every house we’ve rented in that area. The only other thing was I had to wipe out the fridge. It took all of 5 seconds so I can live with that. I will book again next year. Thanks for sharing your house Kim!

Great Stay!

This was intended to be a quick and relaxing get away before the craziness of hosting Thanksgiving dinner. It turned out to be just that. The house was great and spacious. We loved the game room with the dry erase wall. It was fun to keep score of the pool games and foosball games we played. The fire pit was great and we spent each night roasting marshmallows and relaxing by the fire. Kim and Bill were great hosts and replied back with our inquiries quickly. It was a great relaxing few days, which is what we were hoping for. Thanks!

It's fine for the price

I think for the price it's worth staying there if you would normally be booking more than (1) hotel room for your family. ALTHOUGH, here's a few things that aren't so great. There is only (1) TV in the entire home, and it's not a big one. The secondary bedrooms share a very small hall bath that has literally only a couple inches of counter space on each side of the sink, which makes it difficult to put anything down. Both bathrooms have posted instructions over the toilets (which look very old), that state, "This toilet clogs easily! If you need to use a larger amount of toilet paper, please flush it in stages". It freaked my 25 year old son out so much, along with the other above mentioned issues, that he literally left and went and got his own hotel room at the new Hilton. There's more.... There are (3) different "levels" of flooring everywhere. It transitions from stained concrete floors to a toe stubbing old 12 x 12 tile because the edge just sits up, then there's the laminate wood like floors which have a rolled hump like trim everywhere that acts like another level problem, then there's another old tile of 12 x 12, it's like a renovation project of strangeness.. There's a very large corner point which sticks out near an angled area on the kitchen counter near the sink that many people could easily hit their hip on. This property has no driveway so you're stuck driving across the grass, which was very wet the entire time we were there because of the rain. Most of the other homes in the neighborhood all have driveways and garages, which this doesn't have a garage either. I wasn't made aware of any of this information before booking or I would have simply selected a different property. I still gave this property a 4 Star Rating because it's inexpensive. The owner was very nice, great prompt communication, the property just needs to be renovated.

Cleanest VRBO ever!

This was by far the cleanest VRBO that we have ever rented. The well water was a pleasant surprise as it tasted so amazing and fresh. The beds in the guest rooms were super comfortable, but the master bed was a little too firm for our tastes. The box fan was a great find, and it would have been nice to have one for each guest room. The kitchen was well stocked with necessities and the game room was great - perfect for someone with younger kiddos. The AC was super cold and worked really quickly to cool down the house. Overall, a great experience and we would stay here again.

Lovely place

Our stay was so pleased, beautiful home with more than you need, only thing they need to take care of is the sofa bed, we couldn’t use because it wasn’t working properly, other than that, we enjoyed so much the property and all that ir offer, we definitely will be there again, clean, detailed, beautiful!!!

Super convenient

This was an easy drive to where we needed to be in Lake City and convenient to springs where we were diving. Loved having a full size refrigerator (with working ice maker) plus a full sized washer and dryer!

Everything we could ask for

My family loved it. Spacious enough for everyone to be comfortable. Kitchen was great, we made breakfast and dinner everyday. I loved the spacious yard Fairly priced. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent house

Very happy with everything. We checked in early with zero issues. Everything was spotless. Was Not far from Ichitucknee or Ginnie Springs which was the reason for our stay. Accommodated our family of three and our friends family of three. Perfect!

We loved the Meadow House

We enjoyed our stay so much at this rental. A lovely kitchen, very roomy common and sleeping spaces, an abundance of closets and storage and gracious yard space. The beds were comfy and clean, the helpful little notes in the home were appreciated. The game room was a sweet little bonus! A gem nestled in a prime location, we will definitely stay here again!

Very comfortable with everything we needed

We enjoyed the split bedroom plan, modern kitchen and comfortable living room with great glider. Comfortable beds/linens and nice choice of pillows. Very helpful info notes throughout house. Great coffee. Well stocked laundry room. And we loved playing pool! We will reserve again!

Comfy, clean and well-stocked!

The Meadow House is in a small subdivision, but it is situated on a very large lot, so we felt like we had a lot of privacy, and it was very quiet. My husband and I and our friend appreciated the shed where we could store our bikes (there's no garage, but plenty of parking on the lawn). We loved having a large "storage room" for things we weren't using at the moment - like our kayaking gear and the clothes we were wearing when we left Michigan in 11 degree weather! The house is very comfortable and well laid out, with the master suite at one end and the other two bedrooms at the other end. In between is a large kitchen, dining room and living room. Frequently the 3 of us were involved in food preparation, and we didn't bump into each other. The beds and linens were terrific! Kim was exceptional in providing a lot of amenities that many VRBO hosts do not supply. There was an ample amount of TP, tissues and paper towels, and they were the high quality kind, not the junk that you might find at a dollar store. There was also lots of nice soap, shampoo and rinse, plus dishwashing and cleaning supplies. And good quality coffee, tea and fancy chocolates! The place was spotless when we arrived. We mentioned early on that we didn't have enough flatware, and Kim went shopping and left a whole new set for us the next day. We came to the Lake City area for paddling and biking (and a play in Gainesville) and loved the house. We shall return!

Beautifully decorated house and great communication by the owners!

We recently stayed here with my mom who drove from Pensacola, FL. This was a great location, very secluded in a really nice neighborhood. About an hour from Jacksonville Airport where my mom picked us up, and an hour from Valdosta, GA where we spent the day at Wild Adventures Theme Park. Kim was a really great property owner, and really made us feel at home. I really liked all of the cute decorations and little details in this house. Most houses I have stayed at through VRBO don’t include makeup wipes, great smelling hand soap, and even Starbucks coffee! The bathrooms were all very clean and the towels were really thick and luxurious. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone staying in the area, I know next time we plan on visiting we hope this gorgeous house will be available for us!

Well maintained property with owner near by if needed.

We enjoyed our stay at Meadow House. All the rooms were 5* clean! All beds very firm and comfortable. Bathrooms spotless. The kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials. Being a Seattleite, I loved the fact that there was 2 days worth of ground Starbucks coffee for us to use! The new mattress in the master bedroom was perfect and firm. Our host, Kim, was most friendly and accommodating. I talked with her after we left with a few suggestions i.e. a mirror, and small table and chair in each back bedroom would be especially welcomed. Also, consider lowering the legs of one of the beds in the back bedroom. This would make it infinitely easier to get in and out of.

A true gem!

We recently met up with our son and his family and spent a week. We are from NE. The house was perfect! Very comfortable, clean and cozy, and just felt like home. Great floorplan, kitchen area was efficient and had everything we needed. There was a playroom for the kids (which was their favorite place). We were only 20-25 minutes from Blue Springs & Ichetucknee Springs and visited both. We also took a drive to Cedar Keys which was a little over an hour, but a very pleasant drive. Our host and hostess were very attentive when/if we had any questions. Also close proximity (10 minutes) to Walmart, Publix, fast food and restaurants. Definitely a great place to stay!

Great stay in a spacious home close to fresh water springs

We, that’s two families with in total three little kids, loved staying in the house. The floor plan with its two bedroom wings (one huge master suite on the one side and two queen bedrooms with one shared bathroom on the other side of the living area) was excellent for us. On top came the huge playroom and the outdoor area. We went to different fresh water springs where we swam in gorgeous clear water. Our hosts were super responsive and helpful. Thank you!
