While the property itself is accurately represented in the photos, our stay was significantly negatively impacted by several logistical challenges that future guests should be aware of.
A major area for improvement is the host's communication process. All communication, from booking confirmation to check-out, was conducted exclusively via personal email, bypassing the VRBO app entirely. We were also required to submit sensitive personal information (a driver's license and photos) through an unfamiliar third-party site, which felt insecure. This request was made twice - once before booking and again just before we were given access instructions.
The process for entering the building was particularly unconventional and inconvenient. Each time we needed to enter, we had to call the host, provide our name, and wait for them to grant remote access. This was not only time-consuming but also felt unsafe, as it often left us waiting on the street.
Minor notes on the interior: the floors are extremely creaky, making it difficult to move around without disturbing others. Additionally, the beds only had a fitted sheet and a duvet, with no top sheet provided.
We believe the guest experience could be vastly improved by managing all communication and verification securely through the VRBO platform and by implementing a more standard, guest-managed entry system like a keypad or lockbox.
