June 2018 Stay

We spent a week at By The Sea. Great experience, location is great and view is perfect!!! The WiFi is horrible which was a little annoying with 5 kids. Condo is clean and well equipped. This is by far the best place we have stayed at MB and will definitely be back.

Great value for large groups

We really liked our stay at this property. We did not have a big group but would not hesitate to bring one due to the 4 bedroom / 3 bath setup. The kitchen was very open and allowed room to operate. The two large balconies were great (although the top one had no chairs), bottom balcony featured an outdoor dining table. The quick access to the beach just steps from the back deck was perfect. The place was well decorated as well. The area is rebuilding after a hurricane 3 years ago but is starting to take shape. Don’t hesitate to book here.

Peace and Quiet

This property was lovely and in a wonderful location. Frequent dolphin sightings off the wonderful gulf side porch. House was clean and comfortable. Would stay there again. Highly recommend.

Wonderful vacation home

This home is beautiful inside and out. It is in a perfect location. We walked right out onto the beautiful sand and were on the beach. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked it again for the next year! You can't go wrong staying here. We can't wait to go back!

Great property

It's been a few weeks and we're still talking about how great of a trip it was. We loved this property - it was clean, well maintained, bright, and views of the beach were incredible. Didn't have an issue with wifi like others have mentioned. If we travel to this location in the future, we will definitely be considering this property again.

Beautiful beachfront property

We had a wonderful stay at this recently fully remodeled property directly on the beach at Mexico Beach. Our party included 3 adults, two teens, and two elementary age children. The beach and sand were beautiful and a very short walk across a small dune area. An outdoor shower and beach toys are available, and only gentle wave action. The "sugar sand" was fantastic. We cooked most meals--the kitchen is fairly well stocked and has all the essentials. Common space is a bit limited but comfortable, and the decks provide gorgeous views. The bedrooms and bathrooms all were great. The property is a duplex, with the owners utilizing the other side. While people were present during our stay we were almost unaware of them--there were no noise or sound issues at all (I was a little concerned about this possibility before our stay). Groceries are a bit of a drive--it is at least 15 minutes into Port St Joe, or for essentials there is a Dollar General about 5 min away. Overall we all really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

We loved our stay! The house was great with a few things to fix. (Both floor beachside door locks need to be replaced. Very rusted). Lots of stairs to carry stuff up and down. The wi-fi was absolutely terrible. Very very slow but worked one day decently. Overall it was good vacation house. Loved the beach and the calm city. This area was Very pleasant. Thank you

Excellent Beach Vacation Home!!!

We absolutely loved our week long stay at By The Sea. We were thoroughly pleased with this beautiful home’s spacious and comfortable layout which very nicely accommodated our large family. The tasteful beachy decor and large balcony with table and ample seating overlooking breathtaking ocean views set the tone for a relaxing beach vacation. The sand and water were literally steps away and the large porch swing on the lower level was the perfect space to relax. We hold very high standards when it comes to cleanliness and were very pleased with how clean and well maintained this home was. We also found its location to be extremely convenient with restaurants and a local grocer option all within very close range while still offering a quieter and non crowded beach experience. We have nothing but great things to say about our stay at By The Sea and definitely hope to stay again in the future.

Perfect!

By the Sea was absolutely wonderful! It was beautifully decorated, had everything we needed, and was very clean and trust me I’m picky! The only negative was the shower head on the outside shower was missing. The beach was very quiet and uncrowded, which we loved! It’s a definite place to return to.

By the Sea is a jewel on the Forgotten Coast

We take a summer beach trip every year, but this was our first visit to Mexico Beach. We instantly fell in love with MB and By the Sea! It was so clean and well-furnished! We did need a few more towels, but Forgotten Coast Realty was quick to bring more over for us. The proximity to the beach is the best we’ve ever had. It’s literally steps away from the sand. Our group included adults and kids from ages 3-18. It was a perfect set up for everyone with plenty of room to spread out. The beach was so private and quiet, even in the middle of the busy summer season. We were fortunate to meet the owner the day we arrived, and he was very friendly. The Forgotten Coaat is a true treasure! We are already planning our next trip back to this house!

June 2018 Stay

The house is great with a great view and a great beach. Very roomy, clean, and nicely decorated. The town is very cozy and familiar and not over-commercialized. We loved it here. A couple minor details - the grill is a little worn out and the wifi can be iffy (as mentioned in other reviews), but otherwise great and we'll be back!
