"The Barn Loft" steps from Long Sands Beach, York Beach with Nubble Light Views
Welcome to "The Barn Loft" a charming traditional cottage at Long Sands Beach, York.
No need to drive to the beach looking desperately for a parking space. Sleep late, have breakfast on the deck while enjoying the view. When you're ready, walk up the driveway, cross the road and you're at the beach!
The âBarnâ as it is named, was actually built to house the horses that the family used to haul their wagon to their summer long stay in the main cottage during the late 1800s to the early 1900s. The upstairs was finished off during the 1950âs for the owners to spend their summer. Less the horses downstairs of course!
As you enter the cottage from the downstairs porch, there is a little changing area. Climb the stairs to the traditional cozy knotty pine cottage to the living-dining area which has a beautiful view of Nubble Lighthouse and the ocean from the sliding glass door. The slider opens up to the upstairs deck which has Adirondack chairs and an outdoor eating area. There you can relax and enjoy the fresh ocean air and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore.
The âBarnâ, so called for its original use before being converted into a summer cottage, has two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the other one has a full size and single bed. There is a daybed for additional sleeping for one person in the living room. We provide blankets and pillows, but you will need to bring your own sheets and towels. The galley kitchen has an electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, drip coffee maker along with a Keurig, toaster, dishes, pots and pans, and all your eating and cooking utensils. There is one bathroom with a shower. Free Wi-Fi is available. There is TV with free streaming services, including local channels. This cottage has AC and an electric in the wall heater.
A great place to escape your busy life, relax and enjoy!

The Sea Spray Cottages, built in the late 1800âs, have been owned and operated by our family since 1950. We are proud of our family tradition of providing families with a relaxing vacation at our traditional âcottagesâ where you can escape the hectic lifestyles of today.
Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
Just walk up the driveway, cross the road and you're on the beach. There you can enjoy the sun, sand, surf, along with a spectacular view of Nubble Lighthouse! Long Sands Beach is a safe swimming beach. A great place for kids to dig in the sand, build sandcastles and hunt for treasures in the tide pools.

We will be here to greet you when you arrive, show you around and answer any questions you may have. There's a welcome goody basket and coffee pods for the Keurig waiting for you to enjoy. Our cottages are decorated with a coastal theme which includes artwork created with love by family members. Our goal is to make you feel right at home as soon as you arrive!
