Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cottage has seen better days; in one word it is beat. Leaking sink and broken exhaust fan in bathroom, upstairs bathroom we stopped using because the shower handle was so hard to turn off and on, missing kitchen cabinet handle, broken faucet in kitchen, worn out towels and pillows. This property needs sprayed for bugs as well. Patio had no hose to clean off the constant droppings from chickens and Iguanas.

Wonderful location, easy access to beach, old town, splash pad, pool. Really good for kids and adults alike.

Construction 8am - HORRIBLE

Every morning there was 8 am construction couldn’t sit in the deck because of the falling debris. Kitchen drawer had no handle. The outside deck had no canopy like in the pictures. Other than that we had a great time.

Great Place to Stay

This was a great rental in a great location, and the management was very clear, helpful, and easy to reach. One thing to note is that the master suite does not have a door (as noted in other reviews), and the sound does travel from downstairs. Loved the location and the amenities.

Could be really nice if maintained

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Despite being in a fantastic location, the lack of maintenance would keep me from returning to A Sunrise Cottage. It was unfortunate that the previous renter's post did not post until after we arrived because it was spot on. The linens were in need of replacement, the master suite bed's headboard was not connected to the bedframe and the mattress felt like a Marshmallow on a cot. If you sat on the foot of the bed the head of the bed popped up. The towel hook in the master bath was coming out of the wall, the ceiling fan made a horrible sound all night making it impossible to sleep through the night. The kitchen faucet was broken and the bottom drawer pull was missing. The chairs and sofa could use a good cleaning. The deck could have been a pleasant place to sit with great furniture; however, the mess from the chickens and iguanas left an awful barnyard stench. Never experienced such a mess in all the years staying in Truman Annex. Compass Realty was unresponsive to a call that I made up on my arrival.

Vacationing in Paradise

The property was very clean, quiet and a very good location. Close to restaurants, shopping, and activities. The only issues with the condo was the upstairs toilet seat , bathroom hooks and toilet paper roll were loose. Was a little disappointed in the upstairs second bedroom which didn't have a bed or couch. Be sure to put security warning on the step out into this bedroom, drops suddenly. Water in downstairs toilet didn't fill high enough. But overall, we would stay here again.

Enjoyed snorkeling tour and Dry Tortugas trip which included some fantastic snorkeling. Ate a lot of seafood, went to several happy hours at various locations, also saw several sunsets at Mallory Swuare. Olympic Really enjoyed the Truman Little White House tour. We all got the most enjoyment from riding our bicycles pretty much everywhere we went. We’ve been to Key West several times for extended stays, and enjoyed this location the best.

Nice getaway

We had a great week! The place was very clean and had updated bathrooms. We had no issues with anything. We did have 6 adults but the place would probably work better for a family of six based on only 2 bathrooms and the way the rooms are set up. Please also consider adding to the after hour check in instructions that the lock boxes are at the rental office not on the door. We did get an email but it went to spam so didn’t see it but that info isn’t included in the instructions in other places. Thanks for a great week!

Great Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed at a lot of places in the Annex, it's the only place we stay in KW and this was by far one of the best. We've used Compass many times and they are always easy and professional to work with. The condo is in a great location, great condition, great outdoor space, could have used a grill but not sure if they are allowed in the condo section. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. If there was anything to complain about and there wasn't really, the kitchen was tiny and only one person at a time could fit but not a big deal at all, we managed just fine.

Great location!

The property was very clean and actually looked better in person than online. looks like some recent updates may have been made. The location was perfect, we were able to walk to almost everything all week. Had a few questions regarding the property, management company was very helpful. Didn’t like the Master which was a loft, not private and all noises can be heard because it can’t be closed off. The only other issue we had was the pest control company knocked but then entered the property and wanted to spray. Would have been helpful if we had been advised. Overall, it was a good stay, enjoyed the week very much.
