Loved our stay! The cabin was clean and cozy and we enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces/seating areas. Beautiful views The house was well stocked, and the hosts generously set up the fire pit before our arrival with wood free of charge. A very special place, we would love to return.

Cozy cabin with lovely outdoor decks, seating, firepit and hot tub. We walked the 1.5 miletrail to the top of the mountain from the cabin. It was challenging and beautiful. We forgot our dog bowls for our dog’s food so were delighted to find extra dog supplies in the cabin. The cabin isn’t very close to Asheville but well worth it for the mountain views from every window. Thank you!

Cozy and Relaxing!

We had a lovely stay at the cabin! The bed is extremely comfortable and it is a perfect location if you want to explore Asheville but also want some seclusion. We hope to be back!

Wonderful secluded cabin

We had a really nice time at this property. The cabin is in a secluded area in the woods with great mountain views and outdoor space for relaxing. The cabin is well-equipped and clean. Just a short drive to the Blueridge Parkway or to downtown Asheville.

Weekend getaway

This cabin was the perfect getaway. It was so cozy. We had mostly bad weather during our stay but we were perfectly content staying in. We did get to enjoy the hot tub on the first night...so relaxing. Definitely recommend.

This cabin in the woods is well cared for and has all the comforts and ammenities you would want for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing stay. In a great location, close to Asheville and many popular biking/hiking trails. Owner, Tammy, is awesome to work with and her attention to detials for your stay is about as good as it gets. We loved this cabin!! The views were incredible! From checking in to checking out, was so very easy! The interior was welcoming.... The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, including spices in the cabinet. Pots and pans of all sorts. If you bring a pet, there are extra food and water bowls in the hall closet by the bathroom. There were 2 robes for hot tub use in the back room in a closet. Also, a ironing board, iron, blow dryer, extra towels, and more! The only thing we had happen was the fire alsrm went off 3 times during the week, at night, everytime it went off. Then, it stopped on its own. We couldnt figure that out. Of course, there was NO smoking in the cabin, and my husband only smokes outside and, at home, too. Might need to change rhe batteries... All in all, 100% beautiful cabin, beautiful trip, LOVES IT....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! HOT TUB was very easy to.operate.Oh, and the mattress.... sunk too far in the middle.Thats all!! Thank you to Tammy Capps!!!

Romantic, fully equipped, great views. In our four night, three day stay we only left the cabin twice. It truly is a destination cabin. Extremely friendly and accommodating host, highly recommended. Tammy has worked to be a good steward of the land, these mountains and our mother earth: growing her own fruits and vegetables, preserving them for the winter, recycling and composting all garbage, trying to reuse instead of buying new when possible. Efforts are always made to buy local and American made products. After a great deal of planning and hard work, Tammy is excited to invite you for a luxurious, romantic stay in the cabin!

Why the Owner Chose Asheville:
Tammy planned and renovated this cabin with her own two hands over the last twenty years, while continuing to work full-time. She started the project with the goal of renovating a cabin with a small carbon footprint and utilizing many materials from the mountain. WOW, what a project! With lots and lots of hard work and the loving support of her family the cabin is ready for guests. Why the property? Tammy spent most of her childhood in this area and fell in love with the beauty and majesty of these mountains in the Pisgah National Forest at an early age. When looking to move back to the area and purchase a home in 1991, she would only look at homes in the Candler/Upper Hominy area believing this to be the most beautiful community in the Asheville area. Twenty years ago Tammy began to clear land and landscape the 4-acre property. The project was worth it---she built a mountain oasis beyond belief.

The cabin provides all of the modern comforts in a peaceful wooded setting at the base of Mt. Pisgah. The yearround views of the mountain through the large glass windows are spectacular. Couples can enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset over the mountain tops. The property is a certified wildlife habitat proving the four basic elements needed for wildlife to thrive: food water, cover and places to raise their young. The wooded canopy of oaks, poplar and maple cover the mountain view during the summer months, and provide cool shade for relaxing outside on the decks, gazebo or in the hammock beside the waterfall. The cabin is positioned so that passive solar assists the heating and cooling.
