We really enjoyed our stay; the cabin is very beautiful and cozy, well-built and well cared for, skillfully decorated, and with a lovely lake view. Our bed and linens were very comfortable, Because the house was so solidly built, noise does not travel much within the house, and the all-wood floors do not creak at all. If the weather cooperates (we were there after Labor Day and it was a little cool/rainy), the screened porch is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view etc. The kitchen is very well equipped with virtually anything a cook might want. The hosts were very kind and immediately responsive to a couple of issues that arose. One bonus was that after a few days of bathing with the water in the house, everyone's hair was unusually soft and shiny -- I would love to know what's in that water! The lake itself was very pretty to look at, and quiet when we were there (again, after Labor Day), although it's basically a big 'bowl' with not that much for kayakers to to explore, which we like to do, and the water was a little murky. We very much enjoyed the sunset views from the fire pit, and the included firewood. The one downside for us was that there is a small lumber processing facility right next door, cutting logs into firewood. We could hear the chain saws intermittently (fortunately not all day or every day), but when running the noise was significant. There was also construction noise from the lot on the other side of the house, but I assume that was temporary.
