This house is so nice. The deck was great to gather and play games and enjoy being present. True aA perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake with family and friends. We loved watching the deer in the backyard

The issues referred to were a strong septic smell down at the Fire Pit and there were bees/wasps on the property. These were all a result of the extreme heat (highs in the upper 90s) during this week. The issues have since been resolved - septic smell is no longer an issue and the bees/wasps have been treated so they are no longer an issue to any guests. Nice well appointed house on the water with spacious deck, grill, fire pit and dock for boat. Canoe/kayak launch is a little small but workable. Be aware that one bedroom is in open loft and exposed to noise from living room/kitchen. King bedroom is in walkout basement with sparse natural light, and unattached accompanying shower stall in 2nd bath is a little small. The walkout basement is also cooler than the upstairs living area. Host was very attentive and we had a great time.

We had a great stay at this property. The house was very clean and well stocked with all the essentials, which made everything easy and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The location on the flowage was excellent, with convenient and easy access to the snowmobile trails. It was exactly what we were looking for and worked perfectly for our trip. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Check in was easy. We were impressed with the quality of the kitchen and appliances. Very quiet and relaxing location. Wonderful place to bring your boat and tie up.

Nice house tucked away near the water. The house was exactly as pictured and described. Great kitchen area, no complaints whatsoever with bedrooms and baths. We were on a fall fishing trip and appreciated the water access, views, warm house and large driveway.Would recommend the property to anyone looking for a great stay on the Flowage.

Very well stocked and equipped. Screened in porch a real plus, especially in rainy weather. Home was clean and just as shown in pictures. Owner was easy to contact and very responsive. Also a great place to bring a pet (private and generally contained yard). We had a great time.

Annual Family Vacation

My family has been camping in Hayward for over 20 years, and this year we decided to do a Vrbo. We were so happy with our experience at the Great Escape! The house was clean, fully stocked, and the owners were very responsive. The house was very private, and the views were beautiful. We will definitely stay here again!

Labor Day Get Together

We loved our stay at the Great Escape!! The house was lovely and well equipped. The dock and fire pit were wonderful and we loved paddling in the kayaks. The flowage was beautiful and we enjoyed boating and looking at the wildlife. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning!

Great Cabin in a beautiful setting.

Every year our group gets together to relax and do some fishing. This year we tried something new and chose this cabin in the beautiful Hayward area. We were not disappointed. Quiet beautiful setting, wood burning fireplace, our own dock, and plenty of room for the 7 of us. We will definitely be back.

House was plenty big enough for our family and had all the amenities we needed. Liked the fact that the property had a path and level walk to the dock and that it had a spot to clean fish.
