Mysig cederträstuga på orörda sanddammar i Norge, perfekt för bad.

Denna stuga är en två sovrum full timmerstuga sitter inom 40 meter från en kristallklar sjö. Det finns en liten sandstrand precis framför stugan som leder dig till ett badområde som har gradvis tillgång till vattnet. Det finns en rustik steneldgrop inom foten av sjön för att sitta och titta på månen stiga över sjön. För tidiga stigningar ser hytten direkt mot öster för underbara soluppgångar. Stugan har en queen size-säng, två enkelsängar och en drottning futon i vardagsrummet. Köket har alla dina grundläggande behov för att laga mat och det finns en kolgrill precis utanför bakdörren. Kabinen ligger bara 5 mil från centrala Norge, en timme till Maine-kusten, Portland och North Conway Hew Hampshire.
Oxford Hills-regionen har massor av vandring, antik och vacker natur. Vi tillhandahåller kanoter, kajaker och roddbåtar kostnadsfritt och den lilla munnen basfiske är bra. Ett par lommar återvänder varje år för att underhålla och får ofta ett barn i juni.
Vi tillåter välskötta hundar en avgift.

Log cabin living

If you like log cabins on water and in the woods, this is the place to be. My 13 1/2 yr old Lab loved the easy access to the water! I will definitely be back!

No Wi-Fi, but wonderfully relaxing

We had a relaxing time on our vacation in Norway. The cabin was rustic but provided everything we needed. The location was gorgeous! And private but still close enough to town for whatever you needed or wanted (fun little shops and some restaurants). We saw a family of loons, a heron, and other wildlife. It was wonderful to sit on the covered porch, read, drink coffee, and watch the lake and wildlife. The owners, Steve and Jeanne, were super communicative and helpful (thank you for the restaurant recommendations) and their son was great, lending us some lanterns when we lost power for a bit during a wind storm (typical Maine!). The only downside was our cell signal was extremely low to nothing and there’s no Wi-Fi. Worrisome a little if we had an emergency because we couldn’t call anyone (thank goodness we didn’t) and we had to go into town to download books on our Kindles, etc (inconvenient). But other than that, it was a great time and we hope to go back again!

Paradise

This will be the third time renting this cabin and we love it here. The cabin is cozy and has everything you could need for your stay. The cabin is secluded and very peaceful yet a short drive to several stores for food and supplies. We have 2 dogs that come with us and they love the place as much as we do. The cabin comes with its own private beach that the dogs can enjoy and play, swim, and run in the water. In a word this place is a paradise.

Great spot

The property is great. The pond is small so it is very quiet. We had young grandkids and there are two sandy beaches with a gradual drop so it’s great and safe for young kids. The owners were great and nearby if needed. The cabin is nice with a large front porch overlooking the water. And stores and restaurants are only 10 minutes away for convenience.

Peace and quiet

We have come to Norway for decades and always stayed on Norway Lake. Sand Pond is our new place for vacation. This is as peaceful a place as you could possibly find. We are already booked for next summer.

Perfect getaway!

My husband and I and our two dogs stayed here for 10 days and enjoyed every moment. The location is great - quiet, clean inside and out, the pond is lovely in every way. Steve & Jeanne were wonderful hosts! They were communicative and available when we had questions. We would undoubtedly stay here again.

Back to paradise

The place is amazing. This was the first property we rented in Maine 5 years ago and now we are back in 2020. This place is by far our favorite. The cabin has it all: kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, a small private beach, a firepit, and a grill. The bedrooms are comfortable. The kitchen and livingroom offer a common area to play games after hours. The best part is that it is dog friendly and our dogs love it here. They play from sunrise, nap in the afternoon, and play until sunset. The dogs then cuddle at our feet as we huddle around the firepit and listen to nature and stargaze. It is a true paradise. We cannot wait to go back.

Wonderful cabin in the woods!

We felt so lucky to be able to stay together as a family this summer on Sand Pond! Jeanne and Steve made us feel welcome and our cabin was perfect with it’s own beach out front. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming, fishing and nightly campfires! We hope to return again and find the peace and quiet that is there!

The perfect spot to relax!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin immensely, the location is peaceful and beautiful. Our boys enjoyed the fishing, catching many good-sized smallmouth bass. The fire pit by the lake was enjoyed by all each night while listening to the peepers and loons. A beautiful retreat that we will definitely visit again!
