We had such a lovely family vacation at Carolina Bliss! The house was perfect and had everything we needed, plus some baby equipment, which was such a nice bonus since we didn’t have to travel with it.The location was perfect too — just the right distance from the beach and town, and we were able to walk everywhere. Duck is such a special place, and I highly recommend visiting and staying at Carolina Bliss.Jo Ann was wonderful, so attentive and always quick to respond whenever I had a question.

My wife and I brought our 5 kids 2 friends (party of 9) to Carolina Bliss in July. We went down to Kill Devil Hills for a tremendous fireworks celebration in honor of our Nation’s 250th birthday. We enjoyed days at the beach (5 minute walk to the right) and days in town (5 minute walk to the left). Her property is in a perfect location! Need groceries? 5 minute walk. Ice cream? Maybe 8 minute walk. This is a newer property and I’m told it’s something like 5 years old. A nice feature is the elevator to get coolers/groceries to the 3rd floor kitchen. Very clean and modern layout. We had issues with the circuit breaker on night 1 (a breaker was tripped - one bedroom with no power), but Mrs Jo Ann had a friendly man out the next morning to fix it. Also, and this could happen to anyone, the relatively brand-new dishwasher quit (it was from GE’s higher-end Cafe line) on day 2. Mrs Jo Ann again did her absolute best to get it fixed, responding to my VRBO messages within 1/2 day or less. She was very attentive and as helpful as she could be. I’d bring my family to this property again in a heart beat. In my opinion, Duck is THE only town in the OBX to which I’d return. I love the walkable community with all the bars, restaurants, and shopping. Constructive criticism: we use Amazon Prime almost exclusively at home to watch movies, but her Amazon account is locked such that no rentals can be viewed. I think a good work-around would be to allow guests to rent movies & reimburse

This property was absolutely beautiful, clean, well maintained and included everything we possibly needed for our stay. The pool and the outdoor area is perfect for kids and hanging out while keeping an eye on them but also being able to socialize.

Carolina Bliss did not miss! The house is well-appointed with high-end finishes and beautiful decor. The location is absolutely perfect with a 5 minute walk in one direction to town, and a 5 minute walk in the other direction to the beach. The community is quiet with serene surroundings and water views from the 3rd floor. There is plenty of space to both collaborate together over dinners or take time to yourself on one of the many decks. A favorite for our family was the outdoor pool area. We spent many long days (and nights!) enjoying the pool, and even grilled some BBQ. There was plenty to do for our older teenagers and the adults alike. What an amazing place - we hope to return again!
