This enchanting 2-bedroom house situated on 8 acres on Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve, is perfect for your escape to tranquility with nearby wineries and C&O canal, near Poolesville and Dickerson, MD. With a fully stocked kitchen, 2 queen beds, 2 bathrooms with showers and hair dryers, and amenities like Fios WiFi, iron, heating, and AC, guests will feel right at home. Our peaceful country escape is equipped for both long or short stays and invites you to cozy days, quality time with loved ones including the furry variety, reading on the deck and enjoying the wildlife, as well as enjoying all that the area has to offer. This serene countryside escape is a short drive or Metro ride from the many attractions of Washington D.C., and near Sugarloaf Mountain, the Royce Hanson Conservation Park, the C&O Canal, and the Potomac River. Enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, and the wineries, casual and fine dining, golf, and the local arts of Poolesville, MD., delight in nearby Lewis Orchards and Homestead Farm, and plan to tour the Countryside Artisans Studios. Garage, one small room and two closets reserved by owner. **Please note that with the closing of White’s Ferry, the drive to Leesburg is about 45 mins. through scenic Point of Rocks.

Beautiful house and property. Loved watching the birds, squirrels, and deer. A very comfortable place to stay, with everything you need to feel at home. When not in Yellowstone watching for grizzlies, I like to walk the CnO canal or sit by the Potomac. Love the West, grateful for all the time back east. Happy to offer my peaceful corner in MD for others to come away and rest awhile.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We love our property because it feels remote and rural even though it’s only 4 miles from the sweet little town of Poolesville, where we find every amenity. The house itself is a 1950’s home full of character and cozy comfort. It’s views are to the woods and a large pond, where wildlife abounds. Our resident hawks, owls, foxes, and great blue herons make good company.

Our cozy home couldn’t be in a more peaceful and restorative setting. It’s on 8 acres of the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve, near wineries and restaurants, and the beautiful Potomac River and C&O canal, it’s good for body and soul, a perfect retreat for nurturing the spirit.
