The studio had great views and everything we needed for our three night stay. The pool was very well maintained and they had security walking the grounds day and night.

Great communication with owners. Bed was very comfortable and the porch hammock was a hit. Would wish for more surface and storage area. We had an enjoyable stay for the weekend.

Good stay

Our stay was good and what I expected. We had a few mishaps but nothing that wasn't or couldn't be dealt with. We liked the room and would stay there again. Host was friendly and accommodating.

Room really needs to have a deep clean. The room is covered in dust. Walls and wall items especially. Door really needs to be fixed. Had to vacuum when we got there and had to wipe down a lot of the furniture from food, etc

Three Day Weekend

The condo is as advertised. We found its whimsical nature to be both inviting and relaxing. The only downside to our stay was elevator issues that are on the building, not the host.

we really enjoyed the condo and all of the cute decorations along with it, the balcony was perfect with the hammock and being able to see the beach from above is so nice. being able to have the beach and the pool right there was a perfect stay!

Daytona Beach Getaway

The owners were wonderful! I didnt know how to lock the door and sent them a text and they called immediately! The condo had anything we could of needed! It was a great place to getaway for a week!

Family & Friends Vacation

I have stayed at the Hawaiian Inn several times in the past but first time in this unit. Owners were friendly and helpful. Unit had everything we needed plus we LOVED the hammock!! I hadn't been since Sept. 2021, pre-hurricane, and I was thankful to be back to enjoy the ocean, swimming pool, and tiki bar once again. We were there with three of our adult children & their family plus friends and their adult child & spouse. Great time for everyone!!

Bike Week stay

Booking was very easy and the pricing was exceptional for bike week. The room was very nice and had plenty of amenities available. It is close to a grocery store which was very convenient. Due to the hurricanes that Florida sustained we were unable to use the pool facilities and access to the beach was a short half block down the road. We were told of this before we arrived and were offered a full refund if we chose not to stay here. I would love to stay here again when all the construction is complete and we are able to use the pool area. This was a great trip and I would recommend this room to friends. Lisa was great to work with.

Great Location but very crowded, uncomfortable room

The unit is part of Hawaiian Inn which is a very run down facility and the front desk staff was clueless and rude. Most of the furniture in the room (too much for the room) was uncomfortable. The internet connection was horrible and even the cellular coverage in the room was spotty so it was like spending a week without network. I forgot to bring my medicine so I ordered on line (had to go out to a restaurant to get network). The package was delivered to the front desk of Hawaiian inn and they charged me $5 for accepting the package. Lisa is nice and did very well to provide everything for the guests but the facility managers made our stay unsatisfying.

Unique and very comfortable beach view condo

Very comfortable and relaxing condo, we loved sitting on the balcony every morning drinking our coffee watching/hearing the ocean. Our son's favorite thing besides sitting on the balcony with us, was the jelly fish lamp. He would run to the lamp as soon as we got in the door and turn it on. I guess we'll be looking into purchasing him one soon lol. We spoke to Lisa on the phone prior to our travels and she is so sweet and does everything she can to make your stay the best. The pools were not open (by absolutely no fault of Buddy and Lisa), but since we stayed during Thanksgiving week, we did not hear any construction going on so we could enjoy our time and reconnect as a family. We brought a cot for our 3-year-old, but he wanted to sleep in the very comfy king size bed with mommy and daddy instead. Uniquely decorated and very comfortable condo that has everything you need. We highly recommend this condo (especially the hosts) to anyone who just wants to relax and not worry about anything. We are a family of 3 and it was the perfect size place to stay, and even had a lock on the balcony door that our toddler couldn't reach (that was even more mindful of the host to do to keep families safe).

Has potential

I come down every year but due to the hurricane my unit wasn’t ready so I booked one in the near vicinity. When we got there the room was very humid. I thought the ac had been turned off so we turned it on and waited. After 2 days with no response from maintenance I messaged the owner again and was told that maintenance found a part went down and they would fix it. The ac never worked. We proceed to get another room elsewhere as the mustiness was too overwhelming and it never cooled off for us. The owner said she would give us a refund of some sort but never did as the maintenance team told her that it was working the whole time. I would inspect the unit before staying to make sure the issue was fixed. Very disappointing

The weather wasn’t the greatest, It stormed a few times, during one storm, my husband dropped me off at the front door . The rain and wind was so bad , it was hard to open the car door. The next day we were headed out to lunch and our car had been towed. Security said our parking pass was not visible, so she had our car towed . I asked if she checked at the front desk to verify we were guests. (Repeat guests) She said that’s NOT their policy! Well it should be! There should be some courtesy for your guests. (Parking lot was not 1/2 full and we have an out of state plate) We had to pay for a cab and pay 135 fine to get our car back. Not the best experience. Front desk people were great and did help us with getting a cab. Tiki bar was great, our room had a awesome view and we loved the pool!

Check in was easy and host easy to work with. Great view from balcony. The pool area and tiki bar were very nice. The steps going to beach were new, but a ramp would be a nice addition to make access easier. There is no longer shuffleboard, mini golf or hammock garden due to hurricane. The indoor pool was not open during our stay. We enjoyed our stay.

Beach getaway

My husband and I stayed in this condo for a beach vacation after a long weekend of coaching volleyball. This condo had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was awesome and the tiki bar was delicious and affordable. Access to the beach was easy. Communication with the owner was super easy and she was very responsive. The condo was super cute with a great view of the pool and the beach. I would definitely stay here again!

Lisa Shuffle is a retired school teacher born in Chicago, Illinois. She, and husband, Buddy, a retired restaurant owner, have lived in Florida for 45 years. After traveling around the world as Delegation Leaders with People to People Student Ambassadors, they agreed that Daytona Beach has the best beach anywhere. They purchased their condo in 2004 and enjoy using their gift of hospitality, specializing each stay to suit the needs of their guests. Lisa is an active leader in Bible Study Fellowship. They live in DeLand, FL, about 35 minutes from the property.
