Place was centrally located. Rooms would get a bit hot if the doors were closed at night, bit it was freezing outside so it was okay.

Location, location, location! Very close to Central Park, Columbus Circle and other midtown delights. The host was always responsive and quick. The apt is somewhat more rustic than depicted online. Light sleepers will want to use earplugs to block the street noise coming through the window AC units, and you may want to request (or buy) mattress pads for the overly firm beds.

Terrible host experience - who promised to look into a partial refund for two nights when we did NOT have heat in the bedrooms - requiring us to sleep with jackets and gloves. The apt was made to look nice online but was very old with bathroom floors peeling, mold above the shower and smell coming out of the toilet. The floors were very old - with rotted wood near the bathroom and squeaky Throughout. Apt was in nearly abandoned/vacated building with rancid smelling trash as you entered/exited the building.Follow through and follow up was awful on the host’s part and impacted our experience in NYC. Extremely high coat/fees for such a poor quality apt and host experience. I expect a follow up and a refund for the two nights we were impacted!!
