Hidden Oasis in Safety Harbor

An amazing experience at JD’s Hideaway by the SeaThis gem sits a short walk to Main St in Safety Harbor and all the restaurants and pubs to enjoy to your liking, as well as easy access to the path to take one to the Courtney Campbell Causeway.The accommodations were impressive with its cleanliness as well as an updated guesthouse but the prize is the backyard pool and space for an outdoor relaxing day by the pool.Kathleen and Roger were amazing hosts.It’s impressive and I highly recommend a visit.

Immaculate and cozy/quaint

Loved our stay at the cottage. Owners, Kathleen and Roger were welcoming and handled all of our needs/requests. The town is also charming and we had a great week. We would definitely stay there again.

Cozy Spot

Good spot for a quick stay. Just a single room for the bed and "kitchen" and a separate bathroom. If you're one or two people looking for a place to sleep and keep your stuff close to downtown, this is great. If you're more than 2 ppl or would like to have guests, not the best fit. It was clean, communication was good, bed was comfy, great location.

Sister Time

This is the second time my sister and I have stayed at JD’s Hideaway. It has everything you need and the hosts are very friendly and the neighborhood is safe, clean and quiet. Everything is within walking distance, from restaurants to shops. We swam in the pool every day and the hot tub as well. We love the bonfire and lights at night. We always feel rested and pampered here. We will be back!!

Quaint Little Bungalow

The place is as described and nice. The outdoor space is ideal for evening and nighttime relaxation and you are very close to the Main Street and other local attractions ruins such as beaches. The owners stay onsite in their home while you visit, and that may be a bit of a concern for some, but we found them to be responsive to any requests and we never crossed paths in person with them during our stay. We would definitely recommend this location!

Great location and well maintained cottage!

It was a great stay, we loved all the convenient touches such as a hanger station for clothes, some extra bathroom essentials and coffee selections. The pool was perfect temperature and clean. The bathroom shower had heavenly water pressure and bed was comfortable too. We really loved how walkable the area is, especially recommend eating at Nonas for sole really phenomenal pizza and Cafe Vino Tinto for breakfast and cappuccinos. Definitely would be back.

Tons of outdoor space at this gorgeous location!

Our hosts were very attentive. They turned the hot tub & fire pit on when we wanted. We had private access to the pool, hot tub, fire pit, pool deck with 4 lounge chairs & an umbrella & 2 Adirondack chairs. Yard is fenced so very private. Green space is artificial turf so from May-October, wear sandals as it gets very hot. Bed is very comfortable & the hosts provided a generous amount of k-cups, beach towels, extra bath towels, TP. You do have control of the inside-temperature, which is not always the case at a VRBO. Great stay! Thank you Kathleen & Roger!

Wonderful stay!

This property was great for a quick couples getaway! We loved the pool/hot tub at the home, and walking the quaint streets of Safety Harbor. We did a few dinners near Clearwater Beach (25 minute drive), and had great convenient breakfast and lunch spots within a 2-4 minute walk of the cottage! Owners were responsive and there when we needed them!

Short Getaway

Great Spot in Safety Harbor

Really had a great time staying here while enjoying Phillies spring training. Cottage was great. So perfect for what we needed and the town of Safety Harbor was close and full of fun shops, restaurants, and bars. Just a few blocks walk and you’re in the midst of a quaint village. Great restaurants await! Tampa is but a half hour ride away and Clearwater is the same. Hosts provided a wonderful cottage full of amenities. Hot tub on demand! I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Don’t miss 3rd Friday each month where the town becomes a pedestrian heaven with music and great food. So much fun!

Comfortable stay in a great location

We had a wonderful stay in this little treasure of a cottage , just one block from Main St ,with plenty of eating places to choose from. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was great and the best part was the use of the private, quiet garden and pool. Many thanks to Roger and Kathleen , our unobtrusive hosts.

Should have been an easy 5 star stay

The property and location were beautiful. There were several thoughtful amenities such as coffee/teas/water/snacks/shampoo and soaps. When the listing mentioned a hot tub (an integral part of why I chose this property) I wasn't aware that I would have to contact the property manager in order to use it. The first night it took over 3 hours to get a response (messaging once an hour) in addition to leaving a voice mail. The second night I was just completely ignored after having made it clear I wanted to use the hot tub the next night. I have to say this was the biggest disappointment of the entire trip. I read other reviews about how responsive the host was, so I'm not sure the problem. I definitely did not feel like a priority.,

Everything was perfect was a weekend getaway. Hot tub, pool, lounging areas around the pool, and the room was nice and clean. Host was attentive and very helpful, I absolutely recommend a stay!
