This was a great place for our short trip. Very clean. Easy walk to beach. Easy drive to airport, shopping, Old Town. Host responded very quickly to all questions.

Wonderful Ocean Beach Stay

Property was adorable, clean and nice. Ed was awesome and communication was so easy. Would definitely recommend for a couple nights stay to anyone headed to SD.

Great location! Small but everything you need.

The location was great and close to everything. Ed was great and we truly enjoyed our stay. The house in front had 2 dogs that barked often, but it didn’t bother us much because we really like dogs. We would definitely stay there again!

Great place to stay in Ocean Beach

Ed's place was well equipped and was a great place for us to use to explore Ocean Beach and San Diego. It was a quick walk to the beach and restaurant options and a short drive to downtown. Well equipped and comfortable, and the included laundry facilities were a big plus for us on a longer stay. Ed provided some great tips about the area, activities, and restaurant options. We'd love to come back again!

Great location. Friendly people. Super close to the dog beach which made a big difference for us.

The cottage was cute and the hosts introduced himself right away asking if we had any questions then pretty much gave us our space which is great. Not a hovering host. Yay!

Eclectic neighborhood.

Older neighborhood but well kept.Within walking distance to a real variety of restaurants and shopping.Only a few blocks from the beach.The house was adequately furnished very comfortable for the two of us.Everything we needed for cooking.

Relaxing and Quiet Beach Getaway

Great communication with the host. The beach cottage was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the location, found a convenient parking space and didn't move the car. Just about anything you could need is within walking distance. Yes, there are some "colorful" people in the neighborhood, but it's a sweet beach town and we found it quiet and very relaxing. We hope to return for a longer stay in the near future.

Excellent location close to beach

It was a very nice place to stay, to enjoy California and being so close to Ocean Beach. We walked down town to shop and eat. The beach was so much fun to walk and explore and the sunsets where wonderful. And at the places we went to visit doing the week, where just a few minutes away, so we did not have to go very far to explore San Diego. We all enjoyed our stay and I Loved the private outdoor sitting area, a great place to enjoy the morning coffee and the evenings with the family. Just know the parking can be a challenge in San Diego, so allow extra time when you are going to the places around San Diego on your visit.

Very Enjoyable

I appreciated the accurate description by the owner regarding airplane noise and parking. It is easiest to unload in the alley, then park on the street. If you come in the front gate, there are stairs/various levels to go up and down. Easy walk to beach, Robb Athletic Field, shops, restaurants, etc. Loved the fenced grassy area for my 3 year old grand daughter to play safely. Used the nice gas BBQ and outdoor seating multiple times. We walked a lot, and we visited a couple places nearby. Overall a really good trip and nice property. Owner is very responsive which is great. We had a great time.

place was clean, neighbors were quiet

owner responded quickly to my emails. He was nice to deal with. had a washer dryer available right next door as part of the units. parking was a little tough on some days but we were always able to find a place. it was a nice little house. only one problem, the airplanes fly over the house.from 11 pm to 6;30 the planes stop but the noise wasn't too bad, could be tolerated unless you are a bad sleeper. no AC It's an older place but if I were to visit SD, I might return.

WOW! Great place, great people, great area, great host!

I could not be happier about my experience here. I just completed a monthly rental for me and my pup, and this exceeded all expectations. The property is located a few blocks away from bars, coffee shops, grocery stores, and the beach! The unit is located in the courtyard behind two nice-looking cottages, with a nice white picket fence in front. The place was safe, clean, and very easy to get in and out of. If you're bringing your dog, there's no better spot. Dog beach is only a 10 minute walk, and most of the bars are dog friendly. The two neighbors are longer-term renters, and were some of the most pleasant people I've ever been around. Their dogs also made for great playmates for my own. The owner (Ed) has thought of everything when remodeling the unit - for instance, the place is stocked with pillows, blankets, pots, pans, board games, a vacuum, and lots of towels. Ed was also very accessible, and came quickly when we had an issue with a heater and a towel rack falling. Did I mention there's a laundry room directly behind the unit? That's pretty hard to find. Overall, loved the place. I actually think the pictures undersell it, too. You'll love it here!

Lovely cottage, well-appointed

Great little cottage in Ocean Beach, close to everything - seriously, it became the running joke for our family that everything was 12 minutes away from the house! The cottage was well-appointed, with all the beach and house necessities you'd want, and the place was clean and Ed was easy to work with. A few things to be aware of: San Diego airport is only about a 10 minute drive from the house, and the path of the jets as they take off takes them right over the house. While my family sleeps pretty heavily, we were all woken up the first morning and noticed it every day after that. If you're a light sleeper, definitely bring ear plugs. The other issue we had was parking - if you are not able to reserve one of the parking spots for the unit, be aware that street parking is really challenging on weekends and evenings, and that the signs marking street sweeping and no parking are not easy to see. As long as you're good with these small things, you'll have a great trip to SD in this house!

Great place to stay!

We could not have been more pleased with this VRBO. It was exactly as described. Great location. Comfortable bed. We cooked a lot of our meals and we had everything we needed to do so (pots, pans, dishes, etc.) Ed responds immediately to texts (although we didn’t text much - as we didn’t need anything…) We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful beach getaway

This property was perfect for a vacation with my son and his family. It was very clean, comfortable, kid friendly, and in a great location in a safe neighborhood. The beach is a 5 minute walk away, with many shops and restaurants all within walking distance. The outside yard and BBQ area was great for relaxing after a day at the beach. Ed was super nice and quickly responded to any questions I had. I look forward to staying here again for my next trip to San Diego!

It had everything we needed!

The owner Ed was extremely easy to work with during our stay. The place was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, krueig, etc. It was exceptionally warm at the time of our visit but we were supplied plenty of fans. We never had a problem parking near the property. Would recommend!

Perfect beach bungalow

This stay was exactly what we hoped it would be. Such an incredible location to the beach and fun shops and restaurants. Ed was super easy to work with, very responsive. The place has everything you need. The neighborhood is really chill and laid back, just like the place. Parking really wasn’t that difficult. We had an incredible visit to San Diego with our 2 boys and being able to stay here was a large part of why. Thanks so much, Ed!!
