Salty Smuggler on North Captiva Island.
***Please note: North Captiva is only accessible by ferry or boat.
Our newly owned and completely remodeled North Captiva home offers 2,400 stylish square feet of indoor living space, along with plenty of room outdoors for the whole family to unwind. The fenced, private, heated pool is one of the largest (and best) on the island.
The pool sits beside a spacious covered patio featuring cozy seating, corn hole, hammock chairs, a changing room, and an outdoor shower. Enjoy three full levels of outdoor living space.
Inside, youâll find a large, comfortable living area with ample seating, books, and board gamesâperfect for unplugging and connecting. The brand-new kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed for cooking, and thereâs also a grill on the deck just off the living room. For dining out, the island offers several great options. There are currently three restaurants open for dine-in or takeout: Mangoâs, Mainstay, and Over the Waterfront. Roku is available for guests to log into their own streaming services.
North Captiva is the ultimate island experience. It is four miles long, 1/2 mile wide, located 5 miles off the coast of Florida and is accessible only by ferry or boat. The only âcrowdâ youâll encounter on the beautiful, shell strewn beaches are birds and crabs! Ospreys can be seen diving for dinner daily on the beach, manatees often swim around the docks and dolphins can be seen diving in the waves. You will also find an abundance of tropical breezes, Florida sunshine, local island hospitality.
Private shuttle service is available from Fort Myers Airport with a stop for groceries before delivering you to the ferry. Or order your groceries, have them delivered and put away on your arrival day. After a 25 minute ferry ride to North Captiva, you will be greeted, introduced to the island and delivered to our home.
We are delighted to host family groups, couples, and responsible adults over the age of 25.
All renters receive detailed instructions for travel, ferry access, grocery services, and restaurant reservations. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach outâwe love sharing our favorite piece of paradise.
