Nyligen restaurerade, har huset alla moderna bekvÀmligheter samtidigt behÄlla sin ursprungliga toskansk stil och charm. Det finns 2 sovrum med badrum en suite pÄ nedre vÄningen med tillgÄng direkt ut i trÀdgÄrden. PÄ övervÄningen finns det en mycket lÀtt rymligt vardagsrum / matsal med en karakteristisk toskansk eldstad. Köket Àr vÀlutrustat med en hÀrlig bild fönster med utsikt mot de omgivande kullarna. Ledande ut ur köket finns en terrass för al fresco Àta.

Podere Consani ligger i en idyllisk miljö bland vĂ€lskötta naturliga trĂ€dgĂ„rdar, (lavendel, rosor, citroner och örter) som leder in i angrĂ€nsande olivlundar, vingĂ„rdar och skogsmark, i bergen mellan Lucca och kusten. Huset delar en pool med en annan stuga och de engelsktalande Ă€gare som bor i huvudbyggnaden. Ägarna tar stor omsorg för att sĂ€kerstĂ€lla gĂ€ster Ă€r nöjda under sin vistelse, samtidigt respekt för deras privatliv. De producerar sitt eget vin och olivolja.

NaturÀlskare, mÄlare och vandrare lika kan inte undgÄ att njuta av de vackra omgivningarna och hÀrlig utsikt och Àven om Podere Consani ligger i denna oas av lugn, Àr det dock bara 15 minuter innan de majestÀtiska vÀggarna i Lucca kommer i sikte.

The villa was lovely, equipped well for cooking and quintessentially Tuscan. The host was super friendly, accessible,quickly replied to questions, and provided very helpful sightseeing tips for places to see. The pool was very welcome after a day of sightseeing. Parking was safe but very tight due to narrow drive and limited spaces. The location was very remote and the bumpy road up is not paved the entire way, has some switchbacks and one way spots, so you need an appropriate vehicle. No access to restaurants without a drive. Washing machine was in a basement under the villa with access to outside clothes line. The one hairdryer in the house did not work, except in the kitchen due to plug issues. The villa is tranquil but very rural. Loved the daily visit of the owners dog Nepo who adopted us. We had a good time during our week there.

This stay was idyllic and everything that was promised. Privacy, serenity and beautiful surroundings. Loads to do in the area and off the beaten track enough to have a sanctuary from tourism. Susan was the hostess with the mostess. Always there for suggestions, but never intruding. Her family are quintessential Italian and we loved hearing her grandchildren calling each other across the garden, hearing the neigh of the horses and next doors donkey in the distance. If you like some solitude with your surroundings this is the place for you. We will be back.

A fantastic week at a great location, perfect for exploring the area around Lucca and super easy to get to from Pisa or Florence airports. We loved the house and pool and Susan and Lelio were such brilliant hosts, full of useful info on where to go, what to see and where to eat

A wonderful stay!

We had an amazing stay at Podere Consani! It's such a beautiful and peaceful place. Susan is a wonderful host and our cottage was cosy and had lots of charme. Lucca and Pisa are close by and lots of other interesting places, as well. We'd definitely love to come back!

Week long stay at Podere Consani

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Podere Consani despite the weather not always being cooperative during our stay. The location was very quiet and had beautiful views. It was only a 12 to15 min. drive to the centre of Lucca. Susan was prompt at communication and was attentive to any needs we had on our visit. We enjoyed being able to see the olives being harvested. Absolutely Perfect

Our stay was magical. I hate to overload a review with superlatives but it could be impossible not to. Susan was a spectacular host, sharing excellent recommendations for touring, dining, or just relaxing. The location was exactly what we had hoped. Isolated but short drives to everywhere. Lovely Tuscan Home in Hills

Had memorable week going to wineries, having cooking lesson (set up by our host Susan), going to a rare bookshop (set up by our cooking lesson instructor) and loving the scenery. What a place to relax, with lime growing outside your door and basil to put into your tuscan pasta sauce in the same pots. Close to Lucca and very comfortable place to stay!

the perfect farm stay for our family

The farm was an idyllic setting for a quiet week with our family. My kids loved the pool, the fruit trees and all the animals. My husband and I loved the tranquility of the property, which was the perfect antidote between our visits to cities. It's close enough to Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terra and many beaches for easy day trips if you're hoping to explore.

Amazing Location, Hosts, and Property!

We stayed here for 7 days in September with our 18 month old daughter and had the best time! Susan and her family are incredible hosts and provided us with all the information we needed for a fabulous stay. The villa was charming, comfortable and the perfect home base for our adventures. The pool was gorgeous, we ate every night outside, and loved going to visit the horses and goats with our daughter. We LOVED Lucca and would highly recommend this area if you are thinking of coming to Tuscany. It is close to Florence, Cinque Terre and the town of Lucca itself is lovely. This was our first time to Tuscany and we definitely hope to be back. We loved our stay at Podere Consani!

magnificent holiday

The four of us including our Dog spent a great time on the Podere Consani: the sweet, spacious cottage is situated in typical Tuscany countryside with all comfort you need, a fantastic pool, a very friendly host familiy and a lot to see in close proximity (Lucca, Viareggio, Pisa, Barga e.g. ) Perfect to create your own mixture of activity and recreation for an individual Italian experience. Susan’s recommendations were very informative and helpful. Thanks a lot for everything. No doubt, we need to come back.

Tuscan Adventure

Our visit to Podere Consani was all that we had hoped for. Just taking the winding road up to the property will put you in a different world. Surrounded by grape vines and olive trees made you realize you are now in Tuscany. Our cottage offered everything we needed to relax and experience a peaceful retreat. The beautiful pool was just out our back door to give us another way to unwind. The location also provided a very convenient homebase to wander in any direction to investigate Lucca and the surrounding areas. Our hosts, Susan and Lelio were delightful. They were always available and had wonderful suggestions on places to visit and fabulous restaurants to discover the local cuisine. Do not hesitate to take a trip to this Tuscan retreat. Ciao!

Gorgeous holiday in Tuscany!

We had a fabulous time staying at La Capanna. It was our second time in Tuscany, having stayed in a hotel in Florence before. I have to say that this was so much better as we had all the benefits of the beautiful Tuscan countryside and we could visit all the towns and cities when we wanted. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful without being on top of us which was perfect! The house was just right and felt like a real home rather than a rental with outlooks onto the beautifully maintained gardens and woodland. The views down the valley into Lucca were spectacular. We really enjoyed all the local produce, especially the wine and olive oil from our hosts. Having explored everywhere in the daytime, it was lovely to come home to a log fire, it was all very cosy! We will be back. Thank you.

Beautiful Tranquil Setting

The accommodation 20 mins north of Lucca is in rural and tranquil setting with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The property itself is well equipped, with two well sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The upstairs provides direct access to the shared pool and the properties shaded seating area. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay. It is a great location to unwind, relax and enjoy the sunshine or cook some food on the barbecue. We also loved the dogs and cats visiting us throughout our stay and the whole property has a lovely friendly vibe. The location allows for days trips in the Tuscan hills, local vineyards or to Lucca. From Lucca (as we did) you can get the train to Florence or elsewhere. Susan was great throughout our arrival and guided us to the cottage when we arrived. She was also helpful with suggestions where to visit and where we might eat. She additionally very helpfully booked a table at the local excellent Italian restaurant where you get a proper Italian experience. We really enjoyed our time at Podere Consani and would highly recommend.

Podere Consani

Located north of the historic, scenic, walled city of Lucca, this well appointed holiday cottage was our home for a week. With our rental car, we visited the Cinque Terre, villages along the coast, and the villas/palazzos north-east of Lucca. Its central location made it very easy to enjoy these cultural day trips, after a swim in the morning. We made great use of the pool, often twice a day or even more. The first week of October was still very warm and pleasant. The cottage had everything to cook, BBQ, be indoors or outdoors. It is spacious, has two double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. We did a load of laundry following our first holiday week. Susan was welcoming, a source of local knowledge, resourceful and happy to assist with all of our queries. The two other buildings are near, yet we felt secluded underneath the porch and on sun beds shielded by hedges and shrubs. The air around the cottage is heavy with the scent of flowers and herbs that grow in the well tended garden. We had a wonderful week and recommend this holiday property wholeheartedly.

I, Susan, came out to Italy in 1969 and instantly fell in love with it all - the hills, the historic cities, the food and the people. Having lived here ever since, my views haven't changed.
I married my husband Lelio and a few years later we bought Podere Consani and gradually restored it, making it the beautiful place it is today.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We were really lucky to find this beautiful property - 3 very old stone buildings on the top of a hill surrounded by flat land and with wonderful uninterrupted panoramic views - 360°. It is well known in the area due to the fact that it is quite unusual to find a property in the hills with so much flat land around it.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The views and the surrounding land are what convinced us to choose Podere Consani. My husband specializes in restoring old properties and this was such a wonderful place to restore - a sympathetic restoration maintaining its historical integrity.
