Wake up to breathtaking long-range views and inspiring sunrises at Mountain Sunrise, a mountain retreat perched above Appalachian Ski Mountain. Just 4 minutes from the slopes, guests are close to skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating, as well as all the shopping, dining, and family attractions the High Country has to offer.
Blowing Rock is less than ten minutes away with its charming downtown and local park, while Boone is just under a 10-minute drive with endless restaurants, outdoor activities, and shopping. Adventure seekers will love easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, only 2 miles from the cabin, with nearby hiking at Julian Price Park, Moses Cone Park, and the iconic Grandfather Mountain State Park. Family favorites such as Tweetsie Railroad and Mystery Hill are also just minutes away.

Inside, the main level features a cozy living room with plush seating gathered around a stacked-stone wood-burning stove. A wall of windows frames the ever-changing mountain views, while music lovers can enjoy the vintage record player and a selection of albumsâor bring their own favorites to spin. The adjoining kitchen and dining space offer everything you need for casual meals together.
Step outside to the main-level deck to soak in the views or head to the covered patio for a relaxing soak in the hot tub. The patio also includes a gas grill and seating, perfect for enjoying the mountain air year-round.
The main-level king suite offers deck access, a TV, and a private ensuite bathroom. Downstairs, you'll find two additional king bedrooms, each with deck access, plus a fun bunk room with two twin-over-twin bunks, a large TV, bean bag chairs, and a foosball table. These bedrooms share a full bathroom on the lower level, while a convenient powder room is available upstairs.
Additional amenities include:
- Level gravel driveway with parking for up to 3 vehicles
- Dog-friendly for 2 dogs (with additional fee)
- AWD/4WD required in winter months
