The cabin is just what we were looking for, back in the woods away from the hustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It was very relaxing to come back to the peace and quiet after a long day of touring. It did not disappoint. We even got to see a bear in the driveway turnaround when leaving for dinner one evening! Would stay again.

Beautiful Secluded Cabin

It was very peaceful and cozy. The host was great and easy to communicate with. The cabin was amazing, can't wait to come back.

High up in the mountain

Property was in a relatively secluded and beautiful forest setting. Challenges for us, door didn’t always lock as we left and there was no way to secure it from the inside when we were there. We were only provided two caffeinated k cups and ten decaffeinated cups. Glad we brought our own.

Very private and cozy

Bed was very comfy and pillows. Had all we needed. There is only salt and pepper though no cooking oil or essentials , which is understandable for storage in the mountains where there are possible critters. But just a heads up.

Perfect get away!

The property was fantastic! Exactly as pictures! Away from the hustle and bustle, quiet and serene, yet close enough to all things- downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the hiking trails in the park! We enjoyed staying here so much and will book again!

Great visit, very nice clean cabin.

Nice property, very peaceful. Saw bears around the cabin which was great. Host was outstanding and very responsive to any questions I had. Definitely look forward to coming back.

Weekend getaway

This cabin is perfect for a couples vacation, it’s very cute. I would not recommend arriving after dark, it’s very hard to find after sunset. Otherwise a perfect weekend vacation!

Peaceful retreat

Very beautiful place. Kept up very well. Good directions getting to location. Only a few set backs. For a taller person the toilet is a bit on the shorter side. Also, the shower is very small. It could use some non slip grippers on floor in shower and a removeable shower head would be perfect for short peoe since the current head has limited movement. Other than those few tiny issue it was a perfect place to stay and would come back to.

Picture perfect cozy cabin

The owners clearly love this cabin, it was spotlessly clean and well decorated. The Christmas decorations were an unexpected but delightful touch. We would definitely return again.

Peaceful

Perfect getaway for my son and I on a father/son hiking trip. The cabin was great and everything I was looking for: secluded in the wooded mountain area. We even had a great bear (mama and cub) sighting right out front after our hike. It was a trip we will remember forever!

Pleasant stay

Had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at this cabin! The manager was extremely responsive and even when something went wrong late one evening of our vacation, was still willing to come out and fix the issue that night. Enjoyed all of the amenities provided. Only negative part was how small the shower was but that really didn't detract at all from our experience, just something to note.

Our family built this cabin almost 20 years ago. When our mother passed in 2021 my siblings and I took it over. We have made a lot of updates and upgrades to the cabin since that time. My wife and I as well as our kids enjoy going up there a couple of times a year, it has always been a special place to us.

Varför värden valde detta boende

The cabin has a lot of sentimental value to us. Our mother had a passion for the cabin and enjoyed decorating it and reading reviews from guests. She did go a little over board with the bear theme, we have scaled that back some and made several updates. We feel like the cabin is in a great location, close to Gatlinburg but still feels like you are in the middle of the mountains.

There are many new cabins that have been built over the past several years. Many are basically log cabin subdivisions with dozens of cabins right next to each other. While there are a few cabins that can be seen from ours, we still have much more privacy than most. It is also a real log cabin, many of the new "cabins" are stick built houses with log siding on the outside.
