Gå tvärs över gatan och ner "The Stairs" och du är i downtown Hood River! "The Stairs" gå från centrala Hood River upp till "The Heights" i Hood River. Lokalbefolkningen använder "The Stairs" att träna eller ta sig från punkt A till B utan att behöva köra. Det finns också fem parker inom 5 minuter från huset.
Vi lever i Hood River och valde detta hem på grund av sina åsikter och att det verkligen ligger i centrum. Ta en promenad på morgonen för kaffe på Doppio eller har den största hemlagad cinnamon roll eller frukost smörgås på Bette restaurang. En taxi behövs inte i slutet av natten efter att njuta av din helg! Gångavstånd till så många av våra favoritrestauranger. Även gångavstånd till brygga pubar som Full Sail och Double Mountain eller The Pines, Cerulean och Stave och Stone vingårdar. Skylight teater är också steg bort och du kan njuta av pizza, sallader, öl eller vin medan du tittar på filmen!
Några minuter från båtliv, stand-up paddel ombordstigning, kite boarding, vindsurfing och fiske på Columbiafloden. 35 miles till Mt Hood Meadows Ski Resort, 25 miles till familjevänlig Cooper Spur Ski Resort, 50 miles till året runt snö på Timberline Lodge och 21 miles till snowparks för slang.

Awesome experience

My husband and I stayed here for a month while waiting to get into our house and it was perfect. While there wasn’t a garage to park our stuff it’s right across the street from the courthouse so it felt safe. The house has a beautiful view and is very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, nice house

Overall our stay was fantastic and we liked the place. Loved how close to town it was. Really fun to be at a restaurant or the movies in a few short blocks. Didn't get used to always hearing the freeway though. Cozy home with lots of good amenities including provided firewood, bbq, and lots of kitchen items. Upon arrival there was only 1 extra roll of TP, 2 dishwasher tablets, and half a roll of paper towels. They are listed under "amenities" but you do have to provide your own if anything runs out while your there. The beds were comfortable and the master bedroom very spacious. It was treacherous to walk the lower stairs in the dark so we strung up some of our white Christmas lights down there, had to buy an extension cord, but otherwise we almost fell a few times on the stairs in the dark. With our lights it was safe and welcoming. Nice view, and it felt like a very safe location with the sheriff office right across the street! The owner was fantastic about replying to our messages immediately when we had a couple little things come up. For example the garbage disposal stopped working so the kitchen sink wouldn't drain, and she had a handyman over right away to fix it! I disliked having to always message through VRBO instead of going to email or text, but that pales in comparison to her responsiveness. We'd stay there again for sure.

Best 2br/1ba monthly rental house in Hood River.

Perfect location for kite-boarders, 5 minute drive from Event Site, unobstructed view on the river, you can see if your buddies are already on the water. A few blocks away from restaurants and businesses, yet on a very quiet street. House is very clean and well equipped for a few month stay. We'll be back!

We were attending a family event in Hood River and would have needed 2 hotel rooms. This was an excellent alternative. Awesome location - literally everything was within walking distance. River views from the family room and deck were amazing. Well equipped, clean and comfortable.

Phenomenal Hood River Location and Views

Walking distance to EVERYTHING in the center of hood river, including the event site. We had access to all the shop and restaurants. I could even walk to the event site (about 3/4 of a mile) to go kite if I didn't want to try and park. The views from the deck are great and the house is roomier than we expected.

Great location!

Clean house close to downtown. Just one set of stairs separates you from all the spots. The neighborhood is very safe, the County Sherrif's office is directly across the street.

Roomy two bedroom house

Large living room and kitchen with all the tools including spices. Good info on local restaurants. $75 cleaning fee was high when we only used the coffee maker and were only two people. Otherwise for four staying for a few days it’s wonderful.

Location and view cannot be beat!

This was our second stay in this home. Absolutely love Hood River and staying here makes me feel like a local. I love how everything is only a 5 minute walk away. I love the view of the river and the bridge - every morning I get up early, it’s still dark, my family is still sleeping. I put on a pot of coffee and sit in the comfy chair in the living room and look out at the river and the car headlights starting to come across the bridge from White Salmon, WA. I find it magical. On this visit we discovered the absolutely FREE ski shuttle from Hood River (walkable from the house, but we drove due to all the ski gear) to Meadows Ski Area. Best part: we sent our teens on the shuttle to ski for the day and my husband and I had time in Hood River to relax and explore. I hope you enjoy this home away from home as much as we do.

Beautiful View, Perfect Hood River Location, Comfortable House With All Amenities

This was a mother daughters weekend. The location of the house made easy walking to the vast variety of stores, restaurants, coffee shops, tasting rooms, etc. After our walks around town, we enjoyed coming back to the comfortable living room, with a view of the Colombia River. The well supplied kitchen had all that we needed to prepare our meals. Although the weather was a little damp, we spent a little time on the spacious deck furnished with comfy chairs and sofa. There is also a large barbecue for warmer drier days. We had a wonderful time in this sweet house reminiscing, chattering and enjoying the beautiful town of Hood River. We decided to make it an annual event.

Amazing location!

This is a perfect vacation rental in Hood River. The location is perfect, a few stairs and your in the heart of downtown. The size is great for maybe a family of 2 adults and 3 kids. The couch futon is more comfortable than the beds (and I still liked the beds). The view is beautiful. Parking is not too bad, but once you park you barely need your car anyway. Nice big bathroom. We will definitely stay here again!

Hood River Sherman Ave

We had a fabulous week in Hood River. The location of the home was the perfect spot to walk to town and it was a prime location for viewing the July 4th Fireworks Show! A few things that would have helped - refrig is too small for a family for a week. This was a big problem for us. And it is not working very well. Kitchen needs a hand mixer or a functioning blender (broken).

Very nice, well-appointed house in great location

We had a really good stay in this property. The owners have thought of a lot of little details - like laundry soap and laundry baskets, and shampoo - that made it feel like a home away from home. The location was excellent - quick walk to shops and anything you'd want in town and amazing view. We'd stay here again!
