Great getaway

Spacious and comfortable townhouse. The house is thoughtfully decorated, the kitchen is very well stocked with any appliance you may need. The patio is just the right size fort family of 5. The community is perfectly located, any park, grocery store or restaurant under 29 minutes. The common area for the community is great with the lazy river, slides, mini golf, kayaking, and bar.

Adequate

It could use some sprucing up, like power washing the outdoor pool area. Some more seating in the main area would be nice considering it is a four bedroom house. All in all we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay.

Everything was as described - good condo, not great. Clean but could use a new paint job. Walls pretty beat up. Internet was useless.

Just what we needed!

The house was pretty much as pictured. Walls were a bit dirty but it just looked like it’s well loved by the family that owns it. We had zero problems with cockroaches like other reviews were saying but even if we had, ITS FLORIDA. If you leave crumbs all over, you’re going to get bugs, including cockroaches, no matter what kind of house you’re in. My only complaint would be that we barely had enough toilet paper to last us the week and there was only 4 of us. There wasn’t any extra supply. We were also only given one dish washer pod for the entire week so we had to go buy some. Whoever preps the home needs to take into consideration how many guests and length of stay. Also the gate to get into the community is very finicky but does work. A lot of other guests struggled with this as well.

Lots of room, great location!

We liked the layout of the property, was very roomy for my family of 5. Property owner was very prompt to any questions or issues. Lots of extra towels bed linens at the home. Kitchen well equipped. The location is great. We were so busy playing in the pool at the house and spending time at Universal that we didn’t even get to enjoy the resort amenities. The park was very close to this property, looked very nice. No ceiling fans upstairs in bedrooms, but there are two standing fans in the property (one we couldn’t figure out how to work). Never figured out how to get one of the TVs to work in one of the children’s bedrooms. No instructions on how each individual tv/streaming service works. Most TVs in the home were smart TVs and we had no issues with those. The pool was amazing and we couldn’t hardly ever drag my 5 year old out of it. It was warmed, which was a pleasant surprise for us. There are also plenty of pool floats/toys at the property. The house looks like it could use a good deep cleaning and some TLC. Baseboards dirty, paint needs a lot of touch ups, wall paper coming off in a corner hall. When we first arrived I cleaned high touch surfaces with a Clorox wipe, and every single one came up very dirty. The worst was the stair railing. Lastly, the roaches. Full grown and nymph German cockroaches were in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Never saw them anywhere else. Occasionally I would see some of the nymphs congregating around a piece of food that my 5 year old dropped. Saw a few of the adult ones scurrying across the kitchen counter when I would go in there in the morning. There was a nymph crawling on the paper towel roll one day. Every morning they would be all over the bathroom rug downstairs. My youngest refused to even go back into that bathroom. With all of that being said, I contacted the owner one evening about it and almost immediately got a response that she would have someone come out to take care of it the next day. We were gone all afternoon of the next day when they were supposed to come, I would assume they did come, but we still saw the roaches after that. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here, even tried to extend our stay one extra night but someone else was checking in the afternoon of our planned departure.

The property was clean at first sight. However, it turned out to be crawling with roaches. It was a nice townhome and maybe the last renter brought them in. We had to shorten our stay.

Roaches in the kitchen & bathroom

We’ve stayed many times at multiple homes in storey lake and we always love it because the location is so amazing. This home seemed clean and had everything we needed however there were a lot of tiny German roaches in the kitchen & downstairs bathroom which was pretty disgusting. I messaged the property manager and she wanted to send someone in to spray while we were there but i advised her not to as we were traveling with our small children. Hope they fix this issue ASAP!

Nice stay at the townhouse. One bedroom downstairs and 3 upstairs.. No ceiling fans upstairs but there were 2 rotating fans available.. beds were pretty comfortable. Overall good stay

It was a great stay

Pool for heater is an additional cost and need to let them know ahead of time, no gas to use bbq, we had to buy one. Other then that, everything was great!

Nice home in was very clean.

The reason I will not be staying again is for 1 the bedding was worn and stained , only a few of the outlets work, and the cable was disconnected. Please read the description of the home there is not one king bed in this house. Other than that we had a great time!
