Clean, beautiful, offered everything it mentioned in the description. Impressed.

The view is amazing, access to the lake convenient, many options inside and outside of the house, comfortable beds, lovely pool table, and everything was clean. We loved our time at this wonderful home and definitely will be returning.

Weekend getaway

The house had the amenities that we were looking for and centrally located. However the house inside and outside needs a good deep cleaning. Other than that no complaints.

Great family getaway

We loved our stay! The home was clean and nice. It didn’t look exactly like the pictures as it was definitely a little bit older missing a bit of paint and needed a bit of work inside, but overall it was great! A few things in the house were not working entirely properly, but it didn’t mess up our stay. They could use some new pots and pans for cooking, but that is also not a huge deal. I wish that the dock parking was a bit easier as we rented a pontoon and the space closest to our house was a bit tough to get the boat in and out of, but was still great to have a slip of our own. The driveway is very steep, and doesn’t accommodate more than two cars, so not a big deal for the summer, but would definitely be a problem in the winter with snow and ice. Overall, I recommend this home and we enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful property!

Wilderness Lodge is an absolutely beautiful property! The house was wonderfully clean and the space exactly as advertised. The kitchen is amazing -- so big! The really neat thing about the house (in addition to the beautiful setting) is that while it was quite cozy and comfortable for just my husband and me, the layout is such that it would have been just as comfortable (and spacious) had my three young adult children and their significant others joined us. Just two points to be aware of: (1) If you are used to communicating with property managers through the VRBO platform, you'll get frustrated. Railey does not seem to communicate that way once you've booked the property. I sent a few messages through the VRBO platform without response. However, if you call with questions, they are quite helpful and polite. (2) The listing says the property has an extreme driveway and that you'll need 4WD. We visited in the winter and that's an understatement. We have a 4WD SUV that does quite well in winter conditions, but we could not make it up the steep, icy driveway (which hadn't been treated) and waited 3.5 hours for the plow to arrive to clear the ice and apply cinders when it was time for us to check out. Our visit was during particularly "wintery" conditions, such that this is just something to be aware of if you, too, will be visiting at that time.

Great house

We stayed during a winter storm and it was a very spacious 4 bedroom home that comfortably fit 7 adults and 3 children. It has a well equipped kitchen (no spices tho), great entertaining areas, and the hot tub/sauna couldn’t be beat when it was 0 degrees. I bet it would be an amazing place to stay during the summer as it is right on the lake!

Beautiful place, exactly as described

Although the weather did not cooperate in outdoor activities, it was very pleasant to spend time indoors with family. The first night was chilly, so we lit a fire in the large living room fireplace. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The game room, with the foosball game and pool table, was a hit. We would have liked to rent a boat on the lake, if time and weather had permitted. We all had a good time, and will most likely return.
