Charmig lada stil stuga på en 20 acre familjens gård i norra centrala Florida, strax väster om Gainesville.

Stugan ligger på vår släktgård och har en fin utsikt över böljande betesmarker. Det är en 1 sovrum / 1 bad stuga som sover 6 - 8. Den har en dubbelsäng och en full size-säng i sovrummet och en full-size bäddsoffa i alkoven. Den har ett fullt utrustat kök, vardagsrum / matrum och ett badrum med en separat dubbla handfat område. Det finns en liten lagrings loft i sovrummet. Stugan har även trådlöst internet, lokal t. v., DVD-spelare och DVD-skivor, och en tvättmaskin och torktumlare. Den har en inhägnad gård med egen ingång. Sängkläder och köksredskap tillhandahålls.

Vi ligger mellan Newberry, Fl och Trenton, Fl, 22 miles väster om Gainesville, Fl. Det är en lugn och bekväm plats att bo när du besöker University of Florida. Vi är bara 5 miles väster om Easton Newberry Bågskytte Center och Canterbury Equestrian Showplace. Vi har nära till Nature Coast State Trail (cykling, promenader, ridning) och det finns många källor i området. Vi är 48 miles från Cedar Key, 53 miles från Ocala, 99 miles från St. Augustine / Crescent Beach, 128 miles från Disney World och 20 miles direkt väster om I-75.

Stugan ligger på en gård. Vi har tre hästar, en liten flock miniatyr Zebu nötkreatur och en flock höns (både höns och tuppar). Vi har också ett par gård hundar och katter. Det är en fantastisk plats att komma undan för lite vila och avkoppling och sitta och titta på stjärnorna på natten!

Peace & Quiet To The Max!!

If you want peace & quiet & time to get away from the mad rush of life, this is the place. You can sit around all day & watch the cows & chickens & never hear a peep. Owners are right next door, but they don't say boo and you barely see them. Place had everything you need - well equipped kitchen & bathroom. It is a bit old, but has lots of character. Out in the farm lands of Florida - was a wonderful change from the busy shore areas. Would have liked more than just local channels on TV (limited), but bring your laptop & phone. Would love to return! Just what we needed.

Great Stay for Quick Weekend

I was in town with family. This rental was located in a nice, quiet area with a great view of the farm. There was plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. We would highly recommend staying here when in Gainesville or nearby!

Beautiful Property and Cottage

Was absolutely enamored by the cottage inside and out! Very clean and organized, and very much appreciate the binder with info. We wish we could have stayed longer, and will likely be back to further explore the area!

Hidden Treasure!

My family and I stayed here for a baseball tournament located in Newberry, FL. The cottage met all the needs of our family of 6. Great place to stay and close to the ballpark and the state parks.

Love this place!

This is my second year staying at the cottage for 2 weeks at a stretch. We love it! My grandson (4 year old) loves the farm and the experience of being out in the country. It is the perfect place if you are traveling with pets too. My elderly Beagle had no trouble going in and out as there are no steps. The host is super easy to contact and replies ASAP. The beds are very comfortable. I asked my grandson what was his favorite thing about the cottage and he said everything! My thoughts exactly.

Perfect Place To Get Away

My family was in the area for my son's graduation from UF. It's about 30 minutes away from campus and we were happy to get away from the traffic! The best part was waking up early on the morning of graduation and sitting on the front porch to drink in the calm and serenity before the busy day.

One night stay

We enjoyed our stay with our dog. She had a great time running around in the large fenced in property , we lit the fireplace when I got dark and enjoyed the peaceful night sky .Cows, chickens, and roosters running around plenty of amenities nearby, it was a relaxing enjoyable one night stay

Beautiful farm with nice cottage!

Great location! All necessary paper products and towels & linens were provided for a comfortable stay. Our Labrador pup was right at home sleeping over night on the pet covered sofa in the alcove & running in the fenced in yard. The cattle and chickens were fun to watch as well as the awesome sunrises!

Lovely little cottage!

Stayed at this lovely cottage for two nights while visiting my son at UF. The location is secure and quiet, and an easy, pleasant drive from Gainesville. The cottage was clean and well appointed. We didn't cook, however, the kitchen was stocked with ample supplies. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Relaxing Stay

After a week of touring round Georgia and Alabama it was good to have a rest at the barn. Although the property is 'rustic' it does have some lovely views and we did see a lot of different birds including woodpecker, cardinals, blue jay etc. We enjoyed visits to many of the state parks in the area and also visits to High Springs and Williston for some antique shopping. Newberry is a very pretty town too, just down the road. One tip, take a hairdryer if you need one as I couldn't find one at the property, glad I had my own with me.

Nice stay, nicely stocked kitchen, close to my sister in Gainesville. Only wish we we would have had more water pressure in the shower. Enjoyed visit from the 2 cats.

Second visit

We stayed here in 2014 when taking our mother to visit the area where she was born (1926) and grew up. We returned this week, with extended family. The cottage and grounds were exactly as we remembered them, with the addition of a drawing hanging on the wall, that my daughter had left for the owners, in 2014. What a surprise and joy to see! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely cottage with us.

I hope to stay here again.

Extremely pleased. The host even took my grandson (age 3) in to feed the chickens with her! She also brought us a new remote so he could watch the Disney movies provided. More pillows and linens than you will ever need. Cottage is very roomy and even has a bedroom in the loft. My old pup had a great place to hobble around off leash as the whole property was fenced in. One reason I picked the cottage was due to it being on a farm- quiet, beautiful views - early one morning there were deer in the pasture- and easy to find. I think I have found my home away from home for the future. And I have to also mention the T.A.R.D.I.S that greets you as you turn in to the property.

Perfectly Relaxing

From the moment I was greeted by the farm's cat I knew I'd made the right selection. My week was made extra comfortable by a sweetly decorated space, comfortable beds and an explosion of stars in the night sky by a warm fire pit. I will definitely look to stay here again.

Cute, Comfortable, Convenient!

I slept well every night and was comfortable every day. The cottage was ideally situated for my travel plans in the area, but also a pleasant place to wile away a day of relaxation. As a kind-of city girl, seeing the cows in the nearby pasture and hearing the roosters greet the dawn were bonuses. Thank you!

Escape!

A wonderful contrast to the hustle and bustle of Gainesville. Fun at the University, yet looked so forward to the escape of the farmhouse, pastoral settings, solitude of this gem. No light pollution-wonderful night sky views. Comfortable home, ample appointments. Will return!

After moving to north central Florida to attend the University of Florida, we decided that we loved the area and wanted to stay. Eventually we purchased property and turned it into a small farm.

Our family loves living out in the country and the area has some rolling hills and a nice view. It is quiet and peaceful and at the same time, close to many attractions and a convenient distance to Gainesville.

We built the cottage for visiting family, but it isn't used much, so we decided to make it available as a vacation rental. It is a great place to stay whether you're traveling to the area for sports events, to visit the University of Florida, or just to spend some time in the country!
