Charmig lada stil stuga pÄ en 20 acre familjens gÄrd i norra centrala Florida, strax vÀster om Gainesville.

Stugan ligger pÄ vÄr slÀktgÄrd och har en fin utsikt över böljande betesmarker. Det Àr en 1 sovrum / 1 bad stuga som sover 6 - 8. Den har en dubbelsÀng och en full size-sÀng i sovrummet och en full-size bÀddsoffa i alkoven. Den har ett fullt utrustat kök, vardagsrum / matrum och ett badrum med en separat dubbla handfat omrÄde. Det finns en liten lagrings loft i sovrummet. Stugan har Àven trÄdlöst internet, lokal t. v., DVD-spelare och DVD-skivor, och en tvÀttmaskin och torktumlare. Den har en inhÀgnad gÄrd med egen ingÄng. SÀngklÀder och köksredskap tillhandahÄlls.

Vi ligger mellan Newberry, Fl och Trenton, Fl, 22 miles vÀster om Gainesville, Fl. Det Àr en lugn och bekvÀm plats att bo nÀr du besöker University of Florida. Vi Àr bara 5 miles vÀster om Easton Newberry BÄgskytte Center och Canterbury Equestrian Showplace. Vi har nÀra till Nature Coast State Trail (cykling, promenader, ridning) och det finns mÄnga kÀllor i omrÄdet. Vi Àr 48 miles frÄn Cedar Key, 53 miles frÄn Ocala, 99 miles frÄn St. Augustine / Crescent Beach, 128 miles frÄn Disney World och 20 miles direkt vÀster om I-75.

Stugan ligger pÄ en gÄrd. Vi har tre hÀstar, en liten flock miniatyr Zebu nötkreatur och en flock höns (bÄde höns och tuppar). Vi har ocksÄ ett par gÄrd hundar och katter. Det Àr en fantastisk plats att komma undan för lite vila och avkoppling och sitta och titta pÄ stjÀrnorna pÄ natten!

This is our second time staying here for one of my daughters softball tournament. If you enjoy a place that is private, has a farm style atmosphere, this is a great place to stay. It is quaint and has all the amenities you would need to be comfortable. And the price is what makes us coming back. Budget friendly! Will stay here again when we are in the Newberry area. Hosts were great!

Away from the hustle and bustle

We had a peaceful stay here in the country. The cottage was perfect. We were pleasantly surprised by the bonus loft! We really enjoyed feeding the chickens and saying hello to the cows. The location is not too far from grocery stores. The cottage is close to the owners home. But this wasn’t an issue. We’d like to stay again sometime!

Great Stay for Quick Weekend

I was in town with family. This rental was located in a nice, quiet area with a great view of the farm. There was plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. We would highly recommend staying here when in Gainesville or nearby!

My family and I stayed here for a baseball tournament located in Newberry, FL. The cottage met all the needs of our family of 6. Great place to stay and close to the ballpark and the state parks.

Neat Barn Style House

One night stay

We enjoyed our stay with our dog. She had a great time running around in the large fenced in property , we lit the fireplace when I got dark and enjoyed the peaceful night sky .Cows, chickens, and roosters running around plenty of amenities nearby, it was a relaxing enjoyable one night stay

Beautifully rural but convenient

This property was exactly as advertised. The cottage was so cute and had everything we needed. Sitting on the front porch was ideal for relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay, nicely stocked kitchen, close to my sister in Gainesville. Only wish we we would have had more water pressure in the shower. Enjoyed visit from the 2 cats.

Perfect Place To Get Away

My family was in the area for my son's graduation from UF. It's about 30 minutes away from campus and we were happy to get away from the traffic! The best part was waking up early on the morning of graduation and sitting on the front porch to drink in the calm and serenity before the busy day.

Beautiful farm with nice cottage!

Great location! All necessary paper products and towels & linens were provided for a comfortable stay. Our Labrador pup was right at home sleeping over night on the pet covered sofa in the alcove & running in the fenced in yard. The cattle and chickens were fun to watch as well as the awesome sunrises!

Perfectly Relaxing

From the moment I was greeted by the farm's cat I knew I'd made the right selection. My week was made extra comfortable by a sweetly decorated space, comfortable beds and an explosion of stars in the night sky by a warm fire pit. I will definitely look to stay here again.

Lovely little cottage!

Stayed at this lovely cottage for two nights while visiting my son at UF. The location is secure and quiet, and an easy, pleasant drive from Gainesville. The cottage was clean and well appointed. We didn't cook, however, the kitchen was stocked with ample supplies. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Relaxing Stay

After a week of touring round Georgia and Alabama it was good to have a rest at the barn. Although the property is 'rustic' it does have some lovely views and we did see a lot of different birds including woodpecker, cardinals, blue jay etc. We enjoyed visits to many of the state parks in the area and also visits to High Springs and Williston for some antique shopping. Newberry is a very pretty town too, just down the road. One tip, take a hairdryer if you need one as I couldn't find one at the property, glad I had my own with me.

Second visit

We stayed here in 2014 when taking our mother to visit the area where she was born (1926) and grew up. We returned this week, with extended family. The cottage and grounds were exactly as we remembered them, with the addition of a drawing hanging on the wall, that my daughter had left for the owners, in 2014. What a surprise and joy to see! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely cottage with us.

Cute, Comfortable, Convenient!

I slept well every night and was comfortable every day. The cottage was ideally situated for my travel plans in the area, but also a pleasant place to wile away a day of relaxation. As a kind-of city girl, seeing the cows in the nearby pasture and hearing the roosters greet the dawn were bonuses. Thank you!

Prancing Pony is Perfect

The cottage at Prancing Pony Farm was great! Its décor was cute,& the cottage was very clean. Everything we needed was supplied for us. The setting was very homey & peaceful with horses, cows, roosters, chickens, dogs, & cats. We only stayed one night, but it was our best nights sleep on our 4 day journey. If our daughter decides to attend the University of Florida, we will definitely stay at the cottage on the farm again.

Peace & Quiet To The Max!!

If you want peace & quiet & time to get away from the mad rush of life, this is the place. You can sit around all day & watch the cows & chickens & never hear a peep. Owners are right next door, but they don't say boo and you barely see them. Place had everything you need - well equipped kitchen & bathroom. It is a bit old, but has lots of character. Out in the farm lands of Florida - was a wonderful change from the busy shore areas. Would have liked more than just local channels on TV (limited), but bring your laptop & phone. Would love to return! Just what we needed.

Sweet, quiet, and perfect.

We absolutely loved our stay! We named it, 'Our Barn'. My son (4) still asks when we are going back to 'Our Barn'. Every morning we went out to say hello to the cows and the horses. We did not have an opportunity to take advantage of the fire pit but am sure that it would have been worthwhile. We found the location very centralized and were able to get to quite a few hiking trails easily. This is worth the stay if you are looking for clean, hospitable, quiet, and homey. We will definitely try to stay here again.

Reclusive and Pleasant Environment

Quiet, peaceful location. Perfect as a retreat to work on projects. It is a bit away from most attractions so travel was frequent. Golf available in Chiefland, about 20-25 miles away or Dunnelon, around 40 miles. Otherwise the options were in Gainseville. Two small towns about 6 or 7 miles away each with some restaurant options, grocery and gas. Accomodation was roomy and had more than adequate kitchen and laundry facilities. Very affordable.

After moving to north central Florida to attend the University of Florida, we decided that we loved the area and wanted to stay. Eventually we purchased property and turned it into a small farm.

Our family loves living out in the country and the area has some rolling hills and a nice view. It is quiet and peaceful and at the same time, close to many attractions and a convenient distance to Gainesville.

We built the cottage for visiting family, but it isn't used much, so we decided to make it available as a vacation rental. It is a great place to stay whether you're traveling to the area for sports events, to visit the University of Florida, or just to spend some time in the country!
