Perfect location - house feels like a tree house with all the levels. Terrific fenced in area with pool. We had a lot of rain and pool area flooded but the pool guys came out and got the pool ready to use again. Nice big balcony with lots of seating - easy walk to beach but we rented a golf cart for the fun.

We felt like the house was not very clean. The wood used on flooring was meant for walls or ceilings. The grooves are deep and are impossible to sweep or mop. The dehumidifier was not installed correctly and just dumps water back on the floor. The beds and bedding could be more comfortable. Not much privacy between the bedrooms. The kids enjoyed the stairs. It’s almost like climbing a lighthouse. The golf cart was awesome. We had a great time overall.

Old and broken down

St George was great. The house had some maintenance issues and needed a serious refresh. All of the furniture was worn out or broken. Beds were uncomfortable, no comfortable places to sit inside. One small broken down couch in the living room with a couple of chairs that you couldn’t sit in. (Because they were broken) we ended up pulling in dining room chairs so we could have game night. House was dirty. There were wet towels in the washing machine when we arrived, and only about 6 towels for an entire week for 7 people. All of the dishes looked as if they hadn’t been washed and just put back up in the cabinets. Lights did not always work, and had hot water most of the time but not all of the time. Love St George but will not be back to this house.

Always Enjoy staying at Buddy's

This was our third year at Buddy's and we have already booked for a fourth. We love staying at here. The location is perfect. The home is spacious and well stocked for preparing family dinners and cookouts. The fenced yard and pool is wonderful for our pets!

Great location - lots of space

Our first time on the island. Most of these houses have 3 to 4 levels and lots of stairs. Not a complaint just we were not aware. Boat launch is close by but in/out only for 1 boat at a time so be ready to dump in and go as there is no dock. Pool was a bonus. Property owners were responsive via text. Overall happy with property and location.

Great host

Mr. Tim was a great host. He communicated very well from start to finish to make sure that his home would be perfect for our 6 children. There was more than enough room. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances. One side of the oven didnt work, but we were able to use the other side with mo issues. The owner let ys use his golf cart which was great. Some minor tlc is needed but overall we had a great stay.

Great house for the price point

We had a wonderful week at Buddy’s Bungalow. The house is as described. We enjoyed the golf cart and it made the short trip to the beach a breeze. As a person who appreciates homes with character, this house is chalked full of it! The decor brought an element of charm to the home which I also appreciated.

Roomy beach house

This home is a great location on the island and has plenty of space and beds for our family. We enjoy several hours on the beach, outdoor shower and relaxing in the pool

Second Time at Buddy's and Planning a Third

We love staying at Buddy's Bungalow. It's perfect our group. Kitchen is large and well stocked. Lots of space to be together as a family as well as space to be alone both inside and outside. Our pups love the fenced yard. Cindy, the host's local caretaker, is exceptional! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already booked again for next year.

Comfortable, spacious with lots of extras

My multigenerational family of 8 had a wonderful time this week at Buddy’s Bungalow. We are already considering a return visit. We were pleasantly surprised by the extras provided (hand soaps, soap, dish liquid, body wash, paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper). We did bring many of these things and left some to replace what we used. Our two Shih-tzus had the time of their lives in the yard and riding around on the golf cart. There were plenty of towels and extra blankets and we put them all to good use. The lawn care crew mowed on Saturday and the pool crew cleaned and checked the chemicals twice during our stay. The housekeeper was still there cleaning when we arrived and gave us some tips about groceries and restaurants and encouraged us to call her if we had any issues or questions. We borrowed a couple of beach chairs from the garage as well as some charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill and there are lots of bicycles available. *note that there are a lot of stairs and getting to bedrooms would be difficult for persons with mobility issues.

Wonderful Thanksgiving

Heated pool wasn’t working upon arrival but owner took care of it. Stove is a little tricky and hot water took a while. But other than that we enjoyed the house. Golf cart was great. Beach is great. Overall great week.

Great Week of Relaxing!

Fun in the sun!

Our group of ladies had a fun stay at Buddy’s Bungalow. It’s not for the faint of heart because of all the stairs, but the location is good. The golf cart makes getting to the beach easy and it’s fun to toodle around the island.

Great house and location

This home is very spacious with a well equipped kitchen. We love the location and its proximity to the beach as well as restaurants. We enjoy the pool after a day at the beach. There is an outdoor shower to clean the sand off. For more restaurants and shopping, I recommend visiting Appalachicola.

Nice family vacation

We had a great vacation and enjoyed having our family together. The home was clean enough and all of our needs were met. However, we were a bit disappointed in the details. The house was clean as far as bedding and towels, but the cleanliness of floors, tubs, surfaces, and pool were lacking. The house has a very open floor plan - very little privacy. 3rd floor bathroom could be heard from 1st floor because of openness...you have to go through 3rd bdrm to get to master bedroom. Again, we had a great time but I would not return to this rental with my adult children.
