Tremendous value!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was a tremendous value! It was significantly lower in price than other units in the complex. It's not luxury, and I was a little concerned given the price, but it was totally comfortable and reasonably equipped. I needed to do some virtual meetings, and the internet and WiFi were excellent. Really, it's a good condo. The only possible negatives were that the bed is way too soft for me - I sleep on a firm mattress - but it was okay. The more significant issue is that the unit is in the interior corner of the U-shaped complex, and there is no privacy. Not a place for a romantic dinner on the balcony. The neighbors just below and around the corner were loud and I ended up going in from the balcony because of their noise. When they weren't there, the location was completely fine.The rental management people were easy to deal with and responsive to any issues.

Great condo and location

Loved our stay. Everything from the ease of check-in, the condition of the condo, cleanliness, pool and grounds, beach, to checkout. It was a very pleasant stay. The location was great as well. We will be back for sure!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit and the complex is very good. We come here since 33 years regularly once or twice a year for several weeks. However some contact to other owners und ground management is due to historical disputes unpleasant. Repeating guests paying 5K$ to 10K$ per stay should be treated more respectfully. However the rental agency is very polite and correct.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were several things we were unhappy with.Sliding screen door wheels don't workTorn fabric on dinette chair. Broken aluminum chair on patio, which was unsafe to use chair. Noisy ceiling fan in living room on when on high speed. Very dirty caulking on tub decking. Stuck diverter on tub spout. Rusty shower caddie. Disgusting shelving paper under kitchen sink. ANTS! Red stain on carpet next to dinette. Flaking paint on clothes rod in bedroom. Peeling pain on front door jam. Overall the unit is outdated and not appealing. Not really clean as it could be.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this unit. We love it. The location is perfect. The unit has everything we need for a lovely 2 week vacation. We did notice as we began using the dishes and utensils that many were put up in the cabinets still dirty with food on them. Also, many of the pots and pans are so scraped up and damaged that cooking in them was difficult. Food would stick to the scratched up teflon pans. This is also a health hazard. These should be inspected after every rental and replaced every so many months. We will continue to book this unit for future vacations since our daughter lives down the road. I hope these suggestions will be taken positively.

Love the property! Our unit was a bit tired with a very minimal kitchen, but our family had a 2 BR downstairs so we were able to use that kitchen..would love to return!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is my 7th stay over 10 years in this complex. The complex is great-pool, oceanfront, laundry room, gardens, location for groceries, restaurants. I have stayed in 3 other units and found D-214 disappointing. Kitchen is cramped and old, well-equipped but no tea towels, dishcloths or pot holders. Bathtub needs updating, shower diverter was stuck and water came from spout and shower head at same time. Wiring on lamps need updating. Lock on back screen door was broken but Maui rentals came quickly and put on hook and eye We kept sandals on as the unit is carpeted, not most hygienic option. We did have a good time but as we paid same rate as other units and i can compare, I didnt feel it was value

Nice but dated

The complex is a nice little set of condos on the beach. This particular unit is clean but dated. The kitchen was poorly laid out and a challenge to work in. The art is very dated. A couple of lights barely worked. And the biggest bummer: the pool is colder than the ocean, so nobody (except a dedicated lap swimmer) spent much time in it. Nonetheless, we had a nice time in Maui.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Waiohuli Beach Hale is very close to everything you will need for your stay with easy access to the main highways. Unit D-214 is on the second floor with no elevator, but it's right next to the parking lot so you shouldn't have problems getting in and out. Just be ready to carry what you need up one flight of stairs. Everything was comfortable in the room. The two portable AC's did great. Highly recommend staying here if you can work with a second floor unit.

Escaped Minnesota Winter

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Waiohuli Beach Hale is located in Kihei, Maui. The location is on a gorgeous beach perfect for water activities and strolling. Nearby shops and restaurants make having a car unnecessary really, but there is much to see and do all over the island. It is quiet and peaceful with friendly people.Unfortunately this particular condo, D214, is in need of some remodeling. The bathroom in particular is very outdated and some of the cabinets are falling apart. Sink and bathtub are stained and way past their prime. It's hard to tell if it's clean or not. There is no dishwasher. The mattress on the pull out couch is extremely uncomfortable.We have stayed at Waiohuli Beach many times over the years, but I would not stay in this unit again.

Water heater and pest issues

Unit location is good and looked clean on entry. The unit has pest issues and water heater cannot serve family of 4 with each taking 5 mins shower. Dont count in sofa-bed, on request they gave us air bed which was good. Rest of the things are fine. Well furnished kitchen with towels and sheets.

Ideal for family reunion

My husband and I travelled with our two adult children and their spouses, renting three condos here. Lots of chances to be together at the lovely beach and pool, and enjoyed grilling and eating in the picnic area. Nce to have the convenience and privacy if individual condos. A great stay!

Waiohuli Beach hale has the best location, grounds and overall appeal.Unit D214 needs remodeling! The carpet is worn and stained. The bathroom cabinets are falling apart. I scratched my leg on the bathroom cabinet. The screen door is extremely hard to open/close.D214 was equipped with everything we needed.We were comfortable and it was adequate in amenities. It just needs to be updated.Waiohuli Beach hale is a hidden treasure in Kihei.We hope we can return again next year but we would choose another unit if it was possible. I highly recommend Waiohuli Beach hale!
