Short peaceful getaway

We were looking for a quiet place to spend a few days and we found this perfect gem. Close to downtown, yet serene enough to really relax and recharge. We loved this lovely apartment, the decks, the beautiful grounds.

Loved staying at this property!

We loved staying at this property! It was so peaceful and relaxing. The grounds were beautiful, which made our deck-time the best! John & Sarah were very attentive to us, making sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. We look forward to future visits!

Charming Apartment

This Garden Apartment is cute and quaint. It sits in a quiet neighborhood with access to 2 comfortable decks. These decks allow views of this beautifully manicured property and Live Oak trees. The apartment is cozy with a comfy king bed, updated bathroom and a well equipped kitchen.A perfect spot to enjoy Sanford and the general area. We would love to return.

Great Get Away Respite

My college daughter and I met for a couple days midway between us to get away. We had no idea what a great little town Sanford is! Our stay at the "Old Florida" apartment was just right-great location, extremely clean, great communication, lovely decor and thoughtful amenities. We took full advantage of the beautiful decks overlooking the gardens and loved being in the space. Highly recommend!

We really appreciated ALL the amenities provided throughout the apartment! We LOVED the location, decor and cleanliness!! Had fun riding our bikes to and from town. Sanford provided beauty + interesting history :) :) Gary and I are VERY happy we chose this rental!!

Birthday Trip

This property was amazing, from the pristine lawn and landscaping to the adorable, cozy one bedroom apartment. We were there for our birthdays and wanted to get to know the Historic District of Sanford, as well as the neighborhoods. It rained every day, unfortunately however that didn't stop us for enjoying our stay. This place is well worth another visit. Ginny and Chuck

Cottage in the Trees

I absolutely loved my 4 night stay, top of the list for accommodations if I return to Sanford. A peaceful retreat in the trees everything you could possibly want or need in the cottage. The decor created a lovely atmosphere, and the deck was outstanding. Sarah is very kind, I think we could chat over coffee or a bottle of wine! Next time.

How Many Ways Can We Say "PERFECT" ??

Gorgeous neighborhood and home with a superbly appointed apartment for us to spend our week. The hosts were warm and inviting and I believe we have made new friends with these folks :) We give a 5 star plus rating to this stay and we look forward to booking with them every time we come to Sanford, which is a delightful town. Beautiful surroundings, everything you need!

Beautiful surroundings, everything you need, I would’ve enjoyed a larger television to watch movies etc. and the round table very was awkward to maneuver also AND MOST IMPORTANTLY none of the windows had black out so we were forced to have the light of the neighbor shining on us all night but overall , lovely , peaceful and fab I would definitely return

After spending over half of our lives in New Hampshire, we bought our winter residence in Sarah's home town of Sanford, Florida. After years of retirement, we embarked upon Sarah's long-time dream of converting our in-law apartment to a vacation rental.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We are located in an old, historic Sanford neighborhood within easy walking distance of downtown. The property offers a serene and relaxing environment with expansive views of the grounds, gardens, and a local park from the two large decks. We have watched the Sanford community evolve into a thriving center for shopping, dining, and numerous celebrations and cultural events. Sanford is rapidly becoming a focal point for eclectic, upscale restaurants and micro-breweries.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We strive to provide a safe, healthy, and allergen-free living space. We use no harsh chemicals for cleaning and laundry. Smoking (including "vaping") is not permitted in the residence, on the decks, or on the grounds of the property. We are a pet-free, smoke-free environment.

Orlando-Sanford International Airport (SFB) is only two miles away, Orlando is a 25 mile drive, and the numerous theme parks and attractions are about 45 miles away on major, limited-access highways.

New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach, and Merritt Island are 30, 40, and 70 miles away, respectively, where you can enjoy beach relaxation, casual dining, ocean swimming, and surf fishing. In addition, Merritt Island offers a vast wildlife sanctuary and fishing in Mosquito Lagoon, and the neighboring Kennedy Space Center provides fascinating presentations of our space exploration experiences.
